Use Timbor. It is designed specifically to penetrate wood and protect it. It goes for around $20 for a 1.5 lb bag. Disodium octaborate tetrahydrate, 98% pure. You can spray the exposed timbers with a plastic spray bottle. It protects against wood fungus, too.
I thinking of a large bath whereby you can drop the lumber in it. Literally soaking it for a day. Cos these termites only need a gap and they will chew the innards of the wood and leave the outer. So a complete soaking might work.. I know there's a treatment for electrical poles back in Ghana and it last for ages..
great job catching this job before the drywall went up and you got termites. This is exactly when you want to spray with borax, during construction. You'll be termite free for life with that home.
The lumber should be pre-soaked for 5 days with borax + boric acid + H²O solution. Wooden electrical posts were all treated like this decades back. I can guarantee that, sir.
I am going to use one bag of Tim-bor ($20) @ 1.5lbs and mix in a bucket with 1/2 gallon of near boiling water (to dissolve) and then add 1/2 gallon of Antifreeze (pure not 50/50). After research this is supposed to be the Bora-care recipe, the antifreeze (glycols) makes it penetrate faster and completely, the reason Timbor isn't recommended by itself is the minimal penetration.

FIY the roach tablets are probably 60% sugar. Where did you get the information that you need both borax and boric acid in the mix?

Why not apply it to the lumber before you use the lumber, kind of homemade non-pressure treated lumber. Don't forget to touch-up any cut ends.
