Been marathoning your videos since I discovered your reviews a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely adore the original Xbox so it’s great to see a channel that focuses on the OG. Awesome review Dali Popka, I remember playing a little bit of this on ps2 when my brother in law brought it over. Really enjoyed the sequels, I should hunt this one down soon!
Great background on Angel. I admire you for doing a bit of research on RD Revolver. Helps us remember the humble roots. Several of the locations are so ideal for shootouts too... nails that western vibe.
Red Dead Revolver is okay, but Gun is the undisputed king of western games of the sixth generation. Such an underrated masterpiece, especially for the time.
For the prequel to the adventures of John Marston and Arthur Morgan, Revolver reminds me of western anime like Trigun (the anime that kickstarted the VA career of Johnny Yong Bosch, of Power Rangers fame).
Excellent review, I remember playing this game's campaign many times when I played on the Xbox. Still have a fondness for it, especially in comparison it's more famous successors.
Nice review! I'm also big western game fan and wish they made more of them. Red Dead Revolver is not perfect, but I still really enjoy this game! I always find my self playing it over again from time to time.
I owned this at one time. Thought it was a great game! The difficulty spike did happen and i never did complete the game. U didn't know about that history behind this... Wow. Would be cool to see a remake like you said. Will keep my eye open for this one as i had forgot about this one. Maybe I'll be able to complete it this time if find it lol
I was gonna make a joke about this game having quite the *redemption* but you already made that joke, c'mon now xD I've always slept on this one, I'm... not a fan of Rockstar's work, but it looks like Angel Studio really made something fun! Also, is that the dulcet tones of the legendary Steve Blum I hear from Red? 👀
@@TheDaliPopka Oh, wow. Looks like he's done a good bit of work on Rockstar stuff, he did an awesome job with Red's voice, I kinda wish he were in more games xD
I never axtually tried Red Dead Revolver out myself, I'm still looking for a decently priced copy. It's not what I expected from it, I was imagining something closer to Redemption, even though I heard it's not that much like it. But after seeing it, it still looks interresting, so I'll have to snag a copy if i find it. Or just get it on the PS4 if my patience runs out...
That's a tough one. Gun is a decent open-world-ish game with a fair amount of things to do and while RDR is more straight-forward, the gameplay feels tighter. Going by story, I prefer RDR.
It looks good but I heard there were severe difficulty spikes that made some people unable to do complete it. If you were able to though maybe all those rumours are overblown. Does it ever bother you some of your Xbox games are in black cases?
There are some spots that will test your patience, but it can be done, it's all about cover fire. As for the black cases, not too much, mostly due to the fact that a lot of them were disc only when I bought them and had to get printed cover art for them. :)
The review was good, but I'm confused why you are wearing a diaper on your head in your avatar. That's honestly pretty offensive and cringey, you shouldn't appropriate baby culture. A shame really because it was a good video
Editor’s Note - The game’s release year is actually 2004. Chalk it up to late night editing with little sleep on my part! 😆
Looking at this gameplay, it actually looks pretty good and a must play of the era.
Thanks for this one Popka
looks better than it plays. Believe me. It's pretty clunky. And the duels near the end of the game are insanely hard.
You can definitely see how this was supposed to be a Gun.Smoke spiritual successor with how the stages and bosses are setup.

I’m doing the same thing. I noticed he and I have very similar taste. I had or have a bunch of the games on this channel.
Some crisp-looking footage there.

The forgotten capcom ip so much potential I’m glad rockstar pick them up this and gun are classic western shooters classics
Nice Tin Star music!

I won't argue that. I don't know, for some reason RDR resonated more with me that Gun did.

This game is pretty good. A bit stiff in the movement but still a good one. This came out around the same time of Gun. Both fun games.

This game is pretty good however I'm kind of sad when I tell people the first Red Dead game they thought I was talking about the 360 version
This is a game I've always been curious about thanks for this awesome review!

Oh, I knew about how it was a Capcom game and all that, that was one of the reasons I was excited for it! :D

Nope, Red was played by Robert T. Bogue

I love this game yeah that one mission was frustrating and thankfully I got pass that one
Came out a day before my 5th birthday lol
Cool bro
This is a great game. Really fun to play.

Which is the best western game on the Big Green Popka? RDR or Gun?
