      In Tournaments you buy in for example with 10k and can win something if you reach the Prize-Pool.
      But if a Player sit down in a Cash-Game with 100k this 100k are all his own Money and if he loses it, it Hurts much more then loosing a Tournament with „just“ 10k buyin.

      Stick to the play chips, nothing wrong with that, it’s fun, but yeah the strategy is way different than if you’re playing with real money....you have to make calls which would be considered dumb in real cash games because you will just get run over every hand if you allow yourself to get spooked out of the pot because so many people on the play sites just throw money in a matter what, also I don’t trust the card draws online period, I’ve played plenty of cash games with friends and you will get sucked out on the river twice as much as you do playing at home with actual cards....my experience at least

      The pot can never be bigger than what the effective stack has and not withstanding that I believe most would call this a 1.5 million Euro pot. (by effective stack I mean that if you're playing a 1-2 game and there is $10 in the pot and you push your 1 billion dollars and the guy folds with 5 bucks behind, than you can debate that the pot is $15, but it's never 1 billion and 10.

      Dude antonius going all in against Ivey both times was so stupid. Even if you had no idea what Ivey had, especially that 3rd hand with AAJ on the flop. Ivey is almost ONLY going to put massive size bets in on a cash game when he feels like he has the best hand. So even if Antonius thought ivey only had an A, he had to assume that Ivey had a better kicker than a 10 for putting in all thatmoney. To call him was idiotic. You lose 30 or 40k but you play the next hand. Seemed extremely stupid to call Ivey with 3 Aces and a 10 kicker.

    • @CribNotes
      @CribNotes 5 років тому

      @@tiernanastronskas261 It's all based on player history. Antonius knows what Ivey is capable of. He knows what he's doing. You can't look at one hand between two players who've played against each other perhaps thousands of hours and make such conclusions. Obviously, Antonius cannot fold on the flop or turn. Do you know why Antonius called that big river bet? Mostly because Ivey threw him off by raising with a full house on the flop. How often do raise when you flop a full house?

    Antonius only called that huge river bet against Ivey because the had a side bet going. Something about the aces. I can't remember exactly, but there is an interview with the two of them and Patrick talks about it and how it influenced his decision. I doubt he would have called otherwise. For that much money and the huge river bet, Ivey was either on a huge bluff or easily had Patrick crushed. And he knows Ivey doesn't bet to get called with Broadway. Also It was somewhat gutsy on Ivey's part when that Q came in. Patrick easily could have had AQ. AJ was much less likely cause Ivey had two of them. What if he had got raised? That could have been a tough call (assuming Patrick had enough behind to make the bluff work.) man and imagine the river had been a ten? That would have been Sick.

So if he thought Ivey had an A, which is possible, why would he think ivey had a kicker less than a 10? Ivey would never all in with the board state looking like that if he had anything less than a Jack kicker. Easy to say when we see both hands but also seemed easy to say even if we didnt know what ivey had.
