I’m so thankful for Austin for creating such a beautiful performance. The original always got to me because Eric Clapton always reminded me of my dad. He kind of looked like him. Such a beautiful song.
TRAVIS. I AM 74 YEARS OLD. I GOT A HIDE THICKER THAN A RHINO, BUT THIS BROUGGHT TEARS IN THE FIRST RID. LOVE YOUR REACTION TO THE WONDERFUL COVER BY AUSTIN. THANKS.
Travis, I think this is the most raw, vulnerable and genuine reaction I've ever seen. I just want to give you the biggest hug (hope that's not weird, my 6 year old son says my hugs make everything better and that's good enough for me 💜) . This song has always been heart wrenching but Austins version was simply stunning. Thank you for trusting us enough to share your emotions with. I think we probably all shed tears with you.
I was crying right along with you 😭. I'm really grateful for this community you've created where you feel safe to share your real genuine emotions with us.
This is my first time watching your reaction. Men worth giving your time to can cry with the world watching. Men with passion are not easy to find. What a beautiful review. I too love Eric Clapton. Austin Brown did a magnificent job on this song. I must say I broke down in tears just ahead of you. I love all the men in Home Free. I could not pick a favorite as they all excel in their particular part. God bless you for showing the world it’s okay to have compassion and miss someone you have lost. God bless you!
Hey,Travis, Much respect for choosing to react to this and keeping your reaction true and making it through the end! It takes a lot of courage to show genuine emotions like that! You are a real one sir!
Wow this was beautiful. This is the first time I’ve heard this singer. I’m a fan! Everyone that has lost a loved one can relate to this song. Thanks Travis, love your reactions!
You know what's beautiful? When people are able to share their true emotions/feelings and you sir are beautiful! Thank you for being so genuine with us. Go Rest High on that Mountain is another one that gets me from Home Free. Home Free has a song "Warmest Winter" that is for Austin's grandma that tugs at ya too!
I hope u felt all the hugs coming through the laptops and the tablets and the phones for you, Travis......one set of arms was mine.....ur a very sweet man and i was tearing up with you.....great job as always.....Much love !!
“Tears in Heaven” is one of those songs that has always touched my heart. Austin’s voice and the emotions it evoked bring the tears to the surface each time I hear it (I lose it every time before the first verse has even completed). The look on your face while listening was all the reaction that was necessary, no words needed to be spoken… Thank you so much for your reactions...
That beautiful back drop is Austin’s yard!!!!! Wouldn’t you just love to be his neighbor catching these concerts and fishing with him🥰. Just saw HF last night and still have all those songs in my ears!!!,
A beautiful song, performed with sensitivity by Austin! Thank you for your sincere emotions during your reaction! Don't worry about your tears! It just means you are human like the rest of us!
Heart wrenching and just so dang good This is outside his house. O have made it through all the reactions to this one and holding it together but not this time I actually lost it this time (I normally lose it) had to stop driving Was thinking of my mom and dad the whole time. Austin just sung it flawlessly. I wonder how many times it took him to record it.
I heard Austin sing "When a Man Loves a Woman" earlier today for the first time. Different songs, different emotion, but equally beautiful... Perhaps too much for the same day.
Thank you for your true and heartfelt reaction Travis. I agree that outside of Eric Clapton, no one is even close to Austin's cover. I'm sending hugs and good vibes. God bless you Travis.
Yep. Add me to the ‘got me too’ list. He slowed it down more making it even more heart wrenching. He did it more than justice. ♥️ Thank you, Travis. ☮️
This was so beautiful. Awww, I understand your tears. It’s hard losing our loved ones. What I know of God is that we will all be reunited in Heaven someday and it will be wonderful. Take heart and know you are loved and appreciated Travis.
He sings the song with so much respect and gentleness for he knows the story behind it.I hope Eric could see this video and appreciate Austin's rendition. The way he sings the ending verse... It just ripped my heart in two and at the same time my heart started healing.Your reaction is genuine and it truly mirrors the way I reacted the first time I heard him singing this.I hope his voice goes up to all our dear ones we've lost along the way.May they protect us from above and may, such beautiful music as this, help us to pull through.
This song came out around the same time my grandpa passed away and it came on as we were heading to the cemetery for the graveside services. I lose it every time I hear it still. Austin's version is so AMAZING and I was crying right along with you Travis. 😭❤️ Big hugs!
Hello Austin Brown. The start when I saw you with the group of Home Free. I began to like your voice. I like how you sing, but of course, a good looking man. I am already a senior citizen, I love music very much. . I am from the PHILIPPINES. GOD bless your voice my dear Austin. Thanks 🌹🌹
Oh Travis, I was crying with you. You are such a special man. I always loved this song. It's so touching, so moving, Eric's story and writing, singing of this is incredible. And then Austin put his emotional touch on it. Thank you for always showing your vulnerability. It means a lot to many of us. Time to find a funny one. Try that crazy one Austin leads on This is How We Roll! That will make you laugh. Take care my friend.
Well I just bawled. Miss my dad so much. As he used to say "Real men cry. They are human and not afraid to show sadness, happiness, or love." Sending you a virtual hug.
Never apologize for your feelings. The fact that you are emotional from such a touching and beautiful song means you are human. Nothing to be embarrassed about at all. This song is for anyone who has lost a loved one whether a family member or not. Thank you for sharing your reactions (emotions included) stay safe and take care. Cheers from Arizona 👍😎
This is a tough song for me as well - the worst thing for a person other than losing their partner is the loss of a child...and Austin's angelic vocal simply sent my emotions off the track...along with watching your reaction...I was a total wreck... but the song was totally mesmerizing ...so simple and so beautiful with just the keyboard and synth strings...a masterpiece of simplicity and vocal perfection we've come to expect from Austin's amazing voice.... I appreciate your honest reactions...going from the highs to the lows and everything in between... you don't hold anything back...that makes you a true reactionary my friend. RichieC 👍👍
Hard to get through this performance without tearing up, doubly so with your genuinely emotional reaction! Bless your heart, Travis! Austin at his best is impossible to resist.
My youngest son, a twin, died 6/10/2020. This song rips my heart out every time I play it on my guitar. But it has helped me heal a bit, too. Austin's rendition is like the Angels 😇 are singing it to me, letting me know that my son doesn't want me to cry for the rest of my life. And that he is watching over me and waiting for me. I'm glad it touched your soul as well.
I started singing this song in karaoke on 3/15/2001. The day my best friend died in a car accident. And it was so hard! I sang it with tears rolling, choked up, and shaking with emotion. I still dedicate it to Tracy everytime I sing it! I never knew the story behind the song until well after I started singing it. And I know how hard it is to get through. Especially when someone like Austin digs deep into your emotions and pulls them to the surface. Great reaction! Thank you for keeping it real! Sending you lots of hugs! ❤
This was filmed in his front yard with the pond in the background or his house. This song always makes me cry. Seeing you crying broke me even more. I want to thank you for you heartfelt reaction.
A beautiful, emotional song sung beautifully by Austin. Thank you for such a heartfelt reaction! I just wanted to give you a great big grandmotherly hug to console you. Thanks For sharing!
Austin did an amazing job with this song. I think everyone is touched by the message of this song. For me it reminds me of my mom. Please don’t be afraid to show your emotions Travis. We are human and we have emotions and there’s nothing wrong with sharing them. As you read through all of our comments I think you’ll find that to be true, sharing emotions is a human thing. God bless you babe!
I lost my daughter to cancer on March 18, 2018. This song always tears me apart, I have to go on for my grandchildren… but oh what I wouldn’t give to hear her laugh, scold me (yes, she scolded me whenever I needed it )… and hugs. God I miss her hugs.
This is such an emotional song and Austin sings it beautifully. Losing your father at such a young age had to make listening to this one hit you so much harder.💔 I echo what a lot of others have said, in thanking you for being able to be vulnerable enough to let us see your emotions. This is one of the reasons you're my favorite reactor. 💚
Okay Travis....this fellow Austin Brown can sing anything written with such genuine emotion and the most heavenly voice around ....he has made Eric Clapton proud with this rendition 🎼🎶🎶🤗❤🇨🇦...so happy that you yourself feel his emotion Travis 😘
Amazing reaction Travis, and I felt "the feels" too. This song was played at my Liza's graveside service and I cried for 4 days straight. This song is heart wrenching. And Austin can somehow add to the original. Music is meant to touch our souls - and this one does it. Thank you for your reaction.
DUDE... I was playing a game and listening to music and had to grab tissues in the first few seconds. I can guarantee you, you were not crying alone with that rendition. Beautiful.
Thank you, Travis, for this beautiful and authentic reaction. Tears are cleansing, when we allow them to be, and a reaction of love. Beautiful action of love. ❤️ Austin's voice and presence in this is stunning and has a genuine warmth to it. Purity. Love. Appreciation for life. Just as the song itself. ❤️🙏
Thank you for sharing your self, for giving way to the emotional truth, for openly shedding heartfelt tears, for not pretending otherwise, for joining the many of us in humble gratitude for being so deeply touched by this profoundly poignant performance. Thank you, thank Austin, thank Eric, thank heaven.
Lord, about time! This guy has been around so long, and seems undiscovered. I don't understand why - to be honest. It's just so beautiful, peaceful, and a sound of gratuity for things we didn't think we had yet earned; It's really something - it's as if he walked the walk.
I have the same reaction to this song. I lost a very special person when this song came out 30+ years ago. It still gets me emotional but with Austin singing it ...........whoah!
I lost my son on November 17,1984. I cry every time I hear this song. Thank you for playing and thank you Eric for writing. Jason I miss you so much. Daddy
We watch you because you are so genuine. People are so afraid of showing emotion but that is what makes us human. Never be afraid to be moved by something, especially music. That's what music is for. We all find something in it. I'd walk around with a soundtrack if I could. 😉
I have never ever heard anyone sing this so beautiful & Passionately. I lost my sister a week ago last Wednesday n the tears I held back just fell down my cheeks. My Heart is so broken. I’ve been out of touch with music for over a year due to deaths in the family and health problems. Your review just came up about this beautiful song and Austin, one of my favorite singers. I know may never see this, but I have to say thank you for the great reaction.
Absolutely beautiful Travis & you have shown how deep and caring a person you really are. You did an outstanding job as always. Thank you so much for this.
Travis, it took a lot of courage to share your emotions with all of us. I respect you that much more for how you delivered this reaction. If it doesn't bring a tear or two to anyone then there's a problem.
I think this song strikes a chord with anyone who has lost someone dear to them. Austin's rendition is just beautiful and I want to thank you for sharing it and your reactions to it. You might also want to watch the video of his original song "If I Met You Now".
So beautiful, so much emotion, it brings tears to my eyes. Austin has such a wonderful voice. The background adds to the mood. Thanks for your reaction! It takes a lot to show so much emotion in front of the camera.
I love your reactions, Travis. Your heart and honesty always shine through. A man who's not ashamed to show that he is moved is twice the man who thinks it's beneath him. I share your love for Austin's voice and over the last year it has improved even further. His voice now is so expressive that the runs and verbal decorations seem like the emotion aroused by the song bursting into flower. This was a beautiful version of the song.
The tears are touching, and there is no one who doesn't have someone they lost who they ache for every day. Check out the Christmas tour show video where Austin sings, "Bring Him Home", from the Broadway show, Les Miserables. Hauntingly beautiful. Luv your reactions.
I’m so thankful for Austin for creating such a beautiful performance. The original always got to me because Eric Clapton always reminded me of my dad. He kind of looked like him. Such a beautiful song.

Thank you ! 💜
The tears are touching, and there is no one who doesn't have someone they lost who they ache for every day. Check out the Christmas tour show video where Austin sings, "Bring Him Home", from the Broadway show, Les Miserables. Hauntingly beautiful. Luv your reactions.
I never make it through either! Thank you for being emotional with us! So excited to watch your Home Free - and beyond - journey.
