    You did well with your new (vintage) King Seiko. I just purchased the KS44 1966 ( my birth year)version with the back croc strap. Mine will have minor blemishes like yours. However, i will do nothing to fix it. It just gives it that history of " who owned it before" vibe. I am delighted with my purchase, and I can't wait to receive it.

      @@danielday7033 trust me. You will be satisfied when you get it. One of my best watches/dress watches.

    Sweet purchase for sure. Modern Seiko can be so frustrating.And although most of Seiko's classic designs came from Suwa, I think this Daini model is just one of Seiko's most beautiful designs.

    Great video, very informative. I'd put that gold back on if it were mine. I don't want to keep it pristine for the next owner lol. Congratulations on your new beautiful King Seiko!

      It's not just about preserving the gold back. It's really a beautiful movement, and I enjoy looking at it. It wasn't made to be an exhibition movement, but they made it one regardless of whether they knew it or not.

    This is a very good video. Thanx for sharing your King Seiko with us. I pretty much knew nothing about King Seiko watches and you did a good job teaching me the basics. I am a new to vintage watches. I am a fan of hand wind no date watches in smaller sizes like 35 or 36mm because I have small wrists. I even like 34mm. I love Japanese watches from the 60s and 70s so this watch is good information for me. I subscribed and I will like to see more of your videos. Appreciate it.

    Grand Seiko and king Seiko are the same except the spring drive movement, I see your point about the 6r though I've got one in my 62mas spb297 and it is all over the place with time keeping although it did get me out of the habit of zeroing all my watches😁😁

    Hey, I love this video dude! Subbed in an instant! I'd like to know: How did you go about finding a KS in good condition on mercari? Just by scrolling through or is there any kind of japanese term to find ones better off, since most are kinda beat...

    • @GentlemanMasterclass
      @GentlemanMasterclass  6 місяців тому +1

      Mine is in a fair condition I would say, good for a vintage watch from 1967. Just scrolling through, looking at the photos, and reading the description is how I chose it. Most people don't lie about the condition of what they're selling because their reputation is everything as a seller. Japanese don't want a negative score.

    Thank you, Mark! What a great video!🎉 I just discovered your channel. It looks like we both enjoy classic design watches from the 1960s. Would you please share the link or app for Mercari? Keep up the great work!!❤
