Hi. First of all I have to tell you that your channel is awesome. After this one I’ve suddenly bought a King Seiko. This piece is incredibly gorgeous. It will be on my wrist by Wednesday. Thanks again for brought this watch to my knowledge. I cannot thank you enough.
Thanks for the kind words and congrats on a new piece!! Which one did you get? And in about an hour and a half I'll be posting the video on the Observatory Chronometer competitions that Seiko attended during the 60's with Daini factory (that was in charge of King Seiko) making some of the best results there
Good chanel!, congrats for that piece, i bought the same model 3 years ago and it has exceed all my initial expectations. It has a fantastic simple dial design with many complex details (hands, logo, back, profile and lugs, movement..) that make it an affordable masterpiece.
Hi. Enjoyed your video and later review. Can you say where you were a LE to source a display caseback. I have just received a 4502 7010 and would love to see that in action on a daily basis. Thanks.
Hi wondering if you have advice to purchase a vintage 1970 king seiko. Your video mentions a middle man. I am in Canada and am looking for someone to help locate a quality 1970 King Seiko
Hui Bruce! As a watch entusiast, ... I congratulate you for your new watch. As the King SEIKO Hi beat is on order, admiring the milky white dial, sharp mirror reflective surfaces and geometrical sharp edges, I am in fond of SEIKO watches. P. S. Bruce: Are you residing in Utah, USA, or Croatia? Thanks!
+Canon Yeo oh that is a nice model. They did release a King Seiko limited edition model in 2001. I believe and it was very similar to this, but they cost quite a lot when they pop out for sale
Wow, didn't know that. Anyway, VFA plus minus 2 sec is guaranteed for 2 years. I don't have Rolex superlative so I don't know, but, I do have a few Rolex chronometers, and they are all not accurate. Hope to see you do a thorough review soon.
Great 45KS! Unfortunately, the mainspring is more likely to break than other KS models since it vibrates at 36000. I am also thinking to get this model, but struggling this between 52KS chronometer special.
+Make SPQR Great Again I am aware of the mainspring, however one can still be bought from time to time, in fact, almost every part for this movement can still be bought but they are a bit pricey
They pop up on yahoo auctions Japan sometimes but the last one was sold for $150 so I skipped it, I tried getting one from yobokies but sadly it doesn't fit
'Grats on your newest KS! Beautiful. I like the steel better than your previous gold tone. But I gotta say your previous one had such a beautiful blue dial. I can picture this KS with an alligator strap you ordered. It will be sharp. 😁👍
+whatsonthewrist thanks 😊, I like this one better as well, as it's thinner than the last one. I left it at my watchmaker for a service as it is completely dry inside because it has never been opened
Same anxiety here (45-7000 the no date version) ;) my watchmaker mentioned that it was dry and dirty, however no damages that required part changes. That would have been a challenge as these are hard to find. Given the hi beat the wear is higher than lower beat ones and requires special/often lubrication/service.
+razvan radu I hope mine has no damage as well. The problem is many people neglect servicing watches and these ARE NOT the ones you want to skip service with. It's an equivalent of a high performance car, it will get damaged if not maintained properly
@watchgeek great video!. You really got me onto the King Seiko 4502. Do you still have this watch in your collection? What would be a fair price for this model?
So sorry, I didn't mean to offend. I was just so interested in the Hi-Beat movement and frustrated I couldn't just watch it run for 20-30 seconds. I enjoy your videos.
Haha I wasn't offended, no worries 😁 and I meant it, I will be including a macro if the seconds hand in the review, it's just that there are always new watches coming in and I never have time to do this one. I always postpone it as it is in my possession while the others I have to return
I guess you get what you pay for, mine was higher than any on Ebay at the moment. Lets just say more than $500. It was higher than I was willing to pay initially, but after seeing the condition more closely and ESPECIALLY after seeing it in person, I think I got a bargain :) Some might say it is a bitt high, but since I plan on keeping this one in my collection and not flipping it, the potential resale value was of no interest to me.
Great catch! I got one from ab JP ebay seller for 400 usd (the no date version 45-7000) that is in great shape but no way near the condition your is! Love the simplicity and yet how exquisite the movement is! I recently purchased an original KS buckle (seems that these are harder to find than the watches themselves) for almost one third of the watch.... :) what is the glass case back that is suitable for this model? Thanks!
+razvan radu yeah the buckles are getting more and more expensive. The glass case back is made by a man I Japan and shows up from time to time on yahoo auctions Japan for sale, but like I said, it is very pricey, starting with 9.000 yen which combined with all the fees and shipping and taxes gets to almost 15000 yen by the time it reached me, so I am still thinking about it.
How much did u get this? And what website did u use. I wud be interested in getting a KS in mint condition. Never mind the 45 movement coz that wud be very hard to get.
Well there are hairline scratches on it, but considering the age, it looks more like a few months old, rather then decades. The sharpness of the edges is the most impressive part as it didn't get polished during it's life
@@WatchGeek yeah exactly. When you first took it out I can see the shine which I initially thought was re polished but no it is really that new, sharp and shiny! Congrats man.
This is a dream watch that almost everyone can afford
Congrats on an amazing piece!
King Seiko are definitely one of the best vintage watches you can get for the money.
GreatAffordableWatches thanks
tôi có chiếc dial green rất đẹp

Beautiful watch! Love the lines on the case! Congrats!
+Jojo Cruz thanks 😊
The finish on that case polish is top notch 👌🏼
Yes it's beautiful, it just has hairline scratches with a couple of real visible ones
Wow a double header for today!!! Thank You!! N from Japan...
+weedXD38 yup this one was unplanned as it was scheduled to arrive next week 😊
Can you tell me what the closest automatic would be of this model? I love the case style on this one.
56KS

A very pleasing eye catcher you got there. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to the in depth review!!!
+Frank Schroth thanks, it might take some time for the review as the watch is in service currently
Such a gorgeous watch!!!! Great pick up buddy, enjoy it in good health.
Best Regards,

Hi wondering if you have advice to purchase a vintage 1970 king seiko. Your video mentions a middle man. I am in Canada and am looking for someone to help locate a quality 1970 King Seiko
Great watch and clip, tks for sharing! It will be perfect with an original KS buckle.

Just love the case. King Seiko. Seiko is king!
+Canon Yeo thanks it's really beautiful
Yes, it is. Hope they come up with this case soon. I have the SBGH hi-beat model. The wings do not spread this far out but it has a nice curve.
+Canon Yeo oh that is a nice model.

Where the best place to buy simmilar watch? Tnx
awesome piece in perfect condition
+Cedar Canoe thanks 😊
Love it and that's a painted dial..but love it! Great polish job on there.
Nice video! do you have a link where I can buy this watch from France?
Wow that caseback is super clean
+walrusmonger yes it is, the medallion has no sign of being polished from wear

Great pick up! I recently purchased a 4502-8010, is there a place I can buy a see through case back?
They pop up on yahoo auctions Japan sometimes but the last one was sold for $150 so I skipped it, I tried getting one from yobokies but sadly it doesn't fit

Nice review on the King Seiko, it's a great looking watch!
+Just Watch oh this is just the unboxing a real review is yet to be made 😊
Hello,
Amazing 4502-7001 !!
What is your wrist size please ?
I want a KS but I have a 7.5in wrist .. Too big for KS ??
Mine is 6.7
Let us know how the service goes! Ive been wanting a ks exactly like this but i am concerned about service cost and parts availability.
+Daniel Fernandez I will. Parts can be found from time to time, but are very expensive.
Same anxiety here (45-7000 the no date version) ;) my watchmaker mentioned that it was dry and dirty, however no damages that required part changes. Watch Geek exactly!
Very nice .I've only seen one piece case models before ,are they older than this one .
Nope, newer
@@WatchGeek Really ?How old is this one ?The one piece I was looking at was I970.
I'd kill for that!
What’s the difference between this and the 45-7000 model?
This one has a date function with instant date change, while the 45-7000 is a no date version of the same model
Watch Geek ohh i mean the 7000 vs 7001 case number. I see 45-7000, 45-7001, 4502-7000, 4502-7001. Are there any difference in the case design?
@watchgeek great video!. You really got me onto the King Seiko 4502. Do you still have this watch in your collection? What would be a fair price for this model?
Yes I do, and I dont plan on selling it any time soon 😊.
The price will depend greatly on the condition so anywhere from $200-800
@@WatchGeek Super, thanks for the reply, and keep that good content coming!
Thanks 😊, I will
Great video. You have such a great voice.
+Matt Finish thanks 😊
+Matt Finish thanks 😊
Not sure if anyone asked before but can you tell us where you got it and how much it set you back?
$700 and I got it from Japan, the caseback was $140
@@WatchGeek Nice, how accurate is it?
About +7 after being serviced by my watchmaker
I think the strap fits the watch really well, lol
did you ever get that clear case-back?
Yup: ua-cam.com/video/wgQFGnLVToM/v-deo.html
Please tell me What's camera you take a video? Thank you!
Back than it was just my phone and a Nikon Super zoom camera, now I use a Panasonic g80
Thanks your video ........
Nice video as always 👍 watchrepair man below needs to chill
Great watch. Too bad you couldn't hold it still for 30 seconds so we could see the main feature, the Hi-Beat hand movement ...
,😂😂😂 terribly sorry, when I do a review I will make sure to have a macro shot of the seconds hand 😁

Who do you use as middle man to purchase your watch?
Zenmarket
How much cost you the watch and the overhauled
All together, about $700
Thank you
For how long was your hunt for this Watch
How much did you pay for that, looking for one as good condition as yours and most on ebay are junk
I guess you get what you pay for, mine was higher than any on Ebay at the moment. Lets just say more than $500.

Watch Geek Was worth every penny I'm keeping an eye out on yahoo jp and a few dealers sites so hopefully I can add one to the collection soon also.

+Canal West it was more than $600 and it was on yahoo.auctions.Japan but it was a store that offered it
Watch Geek thanks a lot. I've seen some pieces that are mint on Chrono 24 as well. But definitely its difficult to find. Excellent watch.
+Canal West I've been trying to get one for more than 6 months but it was worth the hunt 😊
I have a SGP edition
Medallion is not pure gold. They are silver with a gold plate.
what the hell, it is like NOS
