I’m interested in seeing where it would go next. I want more Plagueis, but probably in a separate project, perhaps an adaptation of the novel at a later point in time.
I loved The Acolyte! As a casual Star Wars fan, it's my favorite of all the movies and shows I've watched (which is about half). Hope there's a season 2. And just like real life politics, I simply don't engage with bad faith actors inside fandom. It's not worth it.
It has set up far too many awesome concepts, lore and characters to not have a season 2. That being said I have a bit of a gut feeling we might not get one which is a shame. The main problem with S1 was the writing, if we do get a second season longer episodes would flesh out the scenes that felt rushed or a bit off (50-60 minute eps), alternatively get writers that are particularly skilled at getting the most out of shorter episode run times. Also using the volume more would be a plus in my eyes. The outdoor scenes and longshots were awesome when they used real life sets but some of the indoor sets like the control rooms on coruscant and some on the ship interiors didn't feel top tier, the volume fixes that as we've seen with nearly every other SW project.
Nah... The problem with this show is the same problem with the Last Jedi. Forget the quality of the show, the problem with it is that the people writing these shows either don't agree with Lucas' philosophy at the root of Star Wars or at the very least view it as naive or childish, and it comes off in their work . There's nothing wrong with this, but it's like making Spaceballs a sequel of Star Wars as opposed to a satire. There's an audience for these types of shows, but probably not big enough for Disney to justify spending so much on them.
@@aguywholovesstarwars really the first thing I have to establish is NO JEDI DEATHS, that would be excessive. Season 2 should be a nice deep dive into sith lore, sith training and what its truly like to be a sith apprentice. I think a little bit of "slice of life" scenes in-between intense sith training and seeing the apprentice face "tests" and eventually playing a role in setting the stage for a young Darth sidious. But of course I would like to see a little bit of Qimir's back story and what lead him to this point and what role venestra played in it. I don't think Venestra and Qimir should ever meet in combat, it would be too much to reconcile with the prequels, perhaps in the end she somehow gets misled into thinking Qimir dies and the matter is resolved. Absolutely must get season 2 though!!
Great video. We as Star Wars fans need to freaking unite. & stop being so damn toxic. I get it… like I totally get why most people are upset, but “everyone isn’t going to like everything… we gotta take the good with the bad & just be happy we are getting new Star Wars content! 😎

Yeah, we want it because we want to see how this place out and how the traitor Jedi dies and how the twins become one the same again and how the Jedi for close to discovering the sith
As much as they absolutely screwed it up with the kyber bleeding that plagueis should be 15 years old and kills tenebrous 65 years later and ki adi mundi shouldn't be born yet and he and yoda shouldn't know about the sith but it needs a second season so we can complete the story of qimir and osha as well as the cover-up of the sith but I over all dislike it except from the lightsaber fights and lesly headland is my least favourite star wars writer
@@officermurdoch4120 it isn't crap but I don't want to repeat the same crap over and over and over again I don't care if Luke Skywalker goes on vacation and we want to know where he goes I don't care
I won't watch S02 if it is headed by the same person, but I wouldn't want other fans to be deprived of a show they are enjoying. Ideally Lesley Headland could get some serious help from people who actually know how to write and execute a story such as Tony Gilroy. That guy has made other Star Wars showrunners look like real amateurs.
I know quite a few people that refused to watch the show at all , not even one ep, as soon as they found out the main actor was a black and Asian and the director was a gay. Apparently woke means any show wit blacks or gays in it.
@@aguywholovesstarwars both would be great but Disney plus shows like many shows I've watched that get cancelled after one season could probably benefit with having miniseries length seasons that would be movies since miniseries are around 2 to 3 one hour or hour and a half in length episodes
Actually it became 13% after episode 3. However it was below 50% before it even came out. It was definitely review bombed, that much is obvious. More reviews than the entirety of Mando by episode 4. I didn’t like it overall but I still don’t think it deserves a score that low. Note there has also been an attempt at review rockets since it ended, which is why its gained 4%.
I'm not a star wars fans, I'm familiar with star wars and watch some of the movies with my brother and uncle. The first time I know about this series is from a far right video ranting about this series being too woke and that all fans should not watch it. Tbh, seeing that video makes me doesn’t want to watch this series at all, not even want to know anything about it. But then, I know that Lee Jung-jae was in it, and even Manny Jacinto also in it. I grew up watching The Good Place and I love Squid Game, so of course knowing they both in this series makes me want to watch it. In my opinion, as a non fans, episode 1-3 are pretty bland. But since episode 4-8 this series become a solid top entertainment. The acting, the fight scene, the dialogue are so good. And I really really want a second season It's just sad that many people may not have the joy of watching this series just because some people said it's bad. And I believe those people who said this series is bad haven't even watch it yet.
not a single character to root for. just a story that contradicts what we knew about Star wars. Jangling keys by putting yoda and plagueis in. And the Jedi were never introduced in a cool way they were portrayed as the ones at fault in this story
The show doesn’t contradict a thing. These crybaby fans contradict THEMSELVES with all their wants. Some of these people hated the witches and magik in episode 3 but complained that there wasn’t enough magik in the 7th episode. See what I mean? It’s just so stupid that we might not get a 2nd season because of the whiners that don’t want to move on. Ugh!!😑
This show is trash, you think the reviews are bad? The travesty couldn't even remain on the Neilsen top 10 by its 3rd episode... Compared to the season 2 of the mandolorian, theres a 75% drop in viewership, Leslie is now practically begging that fan base to watch it so season 2 can get the green light. But the thing is; is that there are lot more people who either hate the Acolyte or are just apathetic about it. And I hope it just fades into obscurity, with all its retcons, especially how qimire & Plagueis both break the 2 of two! As well as Tenebrous absence, which Contradicts plagueis's presents now , since he was responsible for Plagueis being conceived,. Really.. all this "fan service" was basically having keys jangled in your face, at the cost of the lore!😂
Having Yoda and Mundi will make it very hard to do a 2nd season because how can you not know about Qimir, Osha, Mae, and Darth Plagueis. It's good to see Darth Plagueis, but I have a bad feeling that LH and KK will change his backstory. Also, was that Palpatine that vernestra was talking to? I've watched that scene 4+ times, and it sounds like him every time.
For a second season you didn't hit on one of the big tales, viewership. Disney plus Star Wars has had diminishing viewership and the Acolyte is on track to being the lest viewed show. A show needs viewership to continue not ending the first season with questions and last minute cameos. The Acolyte suffered from a lot with the bad greatly out weighing the good. From a business stand point I don't see that the makers of this show deserve a second season.
@@SuperPlacido1 prove me wrong, all available data is showing the trend look up luminate and nelson data on all past Disney plus shows. Disney also has a fiduciary responsibility to it's investors and continuing on a failing trend is not doing so. Nothing I put was a lie.
I don't think this divided the fanbase at all. I think it united it. The massively overwhelming majority of SW fans hated this series, and justifiably so. The only division seems to be that fans who hated it for legitimate reasons were called bigots and misogynists and so on. Also, wait for the Nielsen ratings come out. You'll see why it shouldn't and won't see a second season.

They'd be better off burning $150 million and save money. The show really was bad. My son is 12 (target audience?) and he would never watch this show. The only thing people like about it are member berries and such. The writing is horrible and that is undeniable.
The angry side of the fandom is already not watching or hate watching Disney Star Wars. They have already decided they don't like Disney Star Wars. These same angry fans did not watch Andor, which is arguably one of the best Star Wars TV shows of all time. The angry fans need to come to terms with their anger becasue even if Disney makes something that they would enjoy (like Andor) they won't support Disney becasue of things like Gina Carano and left vs right politics. Disney is on the eft and most angry fans are on the right. Period. Politics is more important to many fans than Star Wars itself. Sad but true.

Yes, second season please!!!
AGREED! What should happen in season 2?
GREAT take! and thank you!
It’s true, everybody is dead but there is still Vernestra who I’m a massive fan of despite her “Obi-Wan Kenobi” trick that she pulled on the senate (meaning he lied to them just like how Ben lied to Luke well sorta) And I think Vern is gonna fill in for Master Sol now that he’s gone and Yoda is gonna Take Vernestra’s place as the leader who will only show up whenever things go to sh!t
I vote YES . We need more stories away from the skywalker crap. I want to move on already.
I beg your pardon. The Skywalkers are not crap. I think, the SW galaxy is big enough for many characters.
If there’s no season 2 it shouldn’t matter.
Yes please
YES!
My favorite is Ahsoka as well ❤
NICE! Love it!
I know quite a few people that refused to watch the show at all , not even one ep, as soon as they found out the main actor was a black and Asian and the director was a gay. Apparently woke means any show wit blacks or gays in it.
“Blacks” “gays”….
Oh maybe speaking of which no pun intended I hope they bring plagues to be the new villain of the Rey or the mando verse movie
Turn it to movies for the streaming service.
You would prefer movies? What about both?
No, it shouldn't get a second season, in my opinion. Not unless they bring on a new showrunner and writers.
And I really really want a second season
It's just sad that many people may not have the joy of watching this series just because some people said it's bad. And I believe those people who said this series is bad haven't even watch it yet.
Yes please! Need more if that show❤
Of*typo... -.-
YES! Agreed! What do you want to see from season 2?
What Osha and Qimir are going to do, trading I guess... And what the other surviving witch is up to😅
*training...
not a single character to root for. just a story that contradicts what we knew about Star wars. Jangling keys by putting yoda and plagueis in. And the Jedi were never introduced in a cool way they were portrayed as the ones at fault in this story
Both sides are to blame in this show. It’s a paradox. If anything the witches are a little more to blame than the Jedi though both are flawed.
Ugh!!😑
All i want is more Plagueis done right with partnership with James Luceno.
YES! Just like they are doing with Thawn and Zahn!
Rather that someone else be offered to produce something different.
This show is trash, you think the reviews are bad? The travesty couldn't even remain on the Neilsen top 10 by its 3rd episode... Compared to the season 2 of the mandolorian, theres a 75% drop in viewership,
Leslie is now practically begging that fan base to watch it so season 2 can get the green light.
The Star Wars community is Salty & Toxic! 😑😑😑
Only a minority.
@@officermurdoch4120 idk ; Hopefully!
Yesssssss
Having Yoda and Mundi will make it very hard to do a 2nd season because how can you not know about Qimir, Osha, Mae, and Darth Plagueis.
It's good to see Darth Plagueis, but I have a bad feeling that LH and KK will change his backstory.
Also, was that Palpatine that vernestra was talking to? I've watched that scene 4+ times, and it sounds like him every time.
It is gonna be more infuriating if it just ends like that so Im saying yes
For a second season you didn't hit on one of the big tales, viewership. Disney plus Star Wars has had diminishing viewership and the Acolyte is on track to being the lest viewed show. A show needs viewership to continue not ending the first season with questions and last minute cameos. The Acolyte suffered from a lot with the bad greatly out weighing the good. From a business stand point I don't see that the makers of this show deserve a second season.
Stop laying!
@@SuperPlacido1 prove me wrong, all available data is showing the trend look up luminate and nelson data on all past Disney plus shows. Disney also has a fiduciary responsibility to it's investors and continuing on a failing trend is not doing so. Nothing I put was a lie.
it will.
Yes!
You'll see why it shouldn't and won't see a second season.
no, some of the actors and crew received actual death threats and were actually harassed by racist and sexist comments. After the last few weeks advocating for the show in the forums and comment sections of the internet, the amount of dog whistles ive come across is bonkers
Yes I want multiple more seasons
You nailed it. It is a cultural war and not limited to Star Wars but to anything which seems to be left.
Gimme a season 2 💯
AGREED! What do you want to see in season 2?
I would change my answer if they fire the twins, Venestra and hire new show runners and writers.
Is venestra not a jedi??? Does she not know he’s a sith 😂 gtfoh does yoda not feel all these Jedi’s death’s 😂
Nah this show has United the fans for the first time in a long time….99% of them hated it. That 1 percent are shills
Stop laying!
Hell no
No no no no
No, the Acolyte should not get a second season
Nope.
Hella Nah bruh!
This should not even be a question
You don't know how? Just discard that woke garbage and kick out the woke director who when speaking always concerned about DEI and the proud of being gay and nonbinary. People hate that, so very much.
I absolutely hated the first season
