Into the Void, Megalomania, Wheels of Confusion, Hole in The Sky, Sabbra Cadabra, Symptom of the Universe, N.I.B, The Warning, Behind the Wall of Sleep... So many bangers y'all need to listen to. And I haven't even scratched the surface with this list.
@72KingDavid I forgot to mention stuff like: Johnny Blade, Who Am I?, The Wizard, Fairies Wear Boots, Rat Salad, Never Say Die, Gypsy... Man, seriously... Too many good tracks to list. It's just bloody endless!
Isn't great how Sabbath just goes off on some kind of jazzy jam session for the second half of this song? Keep going with this band my young soul brothers. The first 6 albums by Black Sabbath were magical. Changed my life. Love the reaction. Sabbath forever!!!
Master of Reality and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath were and still are my favorites out of all of them. There's good songs on all the other albums but not all are super awesome like the two I just mentioned. They are totally solid for sure.
IVE BEEN ROCKIN SABBATH SINCE THE BEGINNING…. N NO …. THERE IS DEFINITELY NO BAD SABBATH SONGS. N YES… THIER SONGS ARE TIMELESS. IM ROCKIN S HARD NOW AS THEN…. NEVER TIRED OF SABBATH… NEVER TURN THEM DOWN OR OFF…. ALWAYS TURN THEM UP. ROCK ON 👊🖖
By the way, If you're waiting for a "MISS" you'll never find one until OZZY left Black Sabbath. Then they weren't all hits to say the least. When Ozzy left, he took the sound of Black Sabbath with him. TRUTH!
I spent most of my teen years back in the 80's chillin on the couch in my buddy's basement burning up some big ol blunts listening to the mighty Sabbath. Enjoy the ride young felllas and keep up the great work. All love n respect from Ontario 🇨🇦🤟
If you guys are going to go down the Sabbath Rabbit hole, your going to be there for a long time!!?? But, that is a VERY, VERY good thing!!! If your sticking to the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath album, you HAVE to listen to,"A National Acrobat!" It is Sooo Awesome!!!
Awww dude, you are killing me with your reviews!! What a fkn tune - i still have this on my Spottily 40 years later for a bit of groove and funk for long journeys! You chaps rock! Sweet! again RESPECT from Ireland
I'm gaining Mad respect for you guys!!! First you are now allowing the song to play with only a couple of short breaks!!! That is no problem? That way you get to really hear the song. And you guys are even commenting on the message the band is trying to get across. Plus, you are listening to great, legendary songs!!!! Sabbath has SO many more great songs!!! So just wanted to say Great Job!!!!! Both of you!!!!
From 1973...Black Sabbath's 5th album 'Sabbath bloody Sabbath'... Tony Iommi (guitar) was basically the band's mastermind - he would come up w/ a riff (or more) and the band would jump in and play along until a song was completed... Geezer Butler (bass) would help in arranging the music, while Bill Ward (drums) would set the tempo... Ozzy Osbourne (vocals) would come up w/ melodies to the track and Geezer would write lyrics to those melodies. That is why Black Sabbath's music is so oriented around the guitar riffs. Towards the end of the original Black Sabbath in 1979, the band had run out of ideas and Ozzy Osbourne was hardly contributing because he didn't like the new music... the drugs and alcohol didn't help. So, Ozzy was fired. Tony Iommi began writing w/ vocalist Ronnie James Dio and the songs & ideas coming out were fresh again, which resulted in the 1980 comeback album 'Heaven and Hell'. Meanwhile, Ozzy Osbourne started a solo career in 1980 working w/ (late) guitarist Randy Rhoads, whose music was far different from Black Sabbath... Randy would play these fresh new ideas on guitar and Ozzy would go, "I like that. Let's work on it." That was how Ozzy's first 2 solo albums 'Blizzard of Ozz' and 'Diary of a Madman' were written... Ozzy would contribute melodies to Randy's music and Bob Daisley (bass) would write lyrics to Ozzy's vocal ideas.
Great reaction guys! The reason you relate so much to Sabbath is this music was written when they were your age. The message is the same. The only thing that changes is generations.
Just caught you guys today and seeing all the new Sabbath....I haven't seen anyone explain how the guitar sound happened......Before a first tour Tony the guitar player was working in a factory his last day....someone didn't show up and he got moved to a machine he was not used to.......he plays left handed so his right hand is his fretting hand......the machine torn off both his right hand middle fingers at the first knuckle......he created(back then)tips out of I believe candle wax and glued sandpaper on the tips to grab the strings but it wasn't enough.....they didn't make super light strings then but he used I believe banjo strings at the time....still not enough so he dropped the tuning from E to D-he didn't tune down for the sound he tuned down to be able to play....and that low pitch with that massive volume created the backbone of the metal sound(as well as of course the amazing riffs and composition).......
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Ozzy voice on the Album Sabotage - The Thrill of it All - One of my favourite lyrics "Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it 'cause I've got no reason to lie, yeah, Forget your problems that don't even exist, and I'll show you a way to get high, oh yeah!" such a pumped up song. Not a bad song on this album.
Geezer Butler, the bassist and primary lyricist for the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, is a vegan: Vegan Butler is a vegan, along with founding drummer Bill Ward. He became vegetarian at age eight after realizing he was eating dead animals, and eventually gave up cheese after learning what it was made from. Catholic upbringing Butler was raised Catholic and enjoyed the rituals of Mass, Communion, confession, and Benediction. Memoir Butler wrote a memoir called Into the Void: From Birth to Black Sabbath-And Beyond. In the book, he discusses his upbringing, the band's early days, and the creation of their heavy riffs and apocalyptic lyrics.
Not sure why this vid made me think about this - probably the name of the song - but you guys haven't reacted to Rage Against the Machine [RATM] yet!!!!!! They will blow your f*cking minds. Check out "Killing in the Name"
I saw them live 2 times.... You like them enough that you should review all the stuff they did with Ozzy and Dio and Gillian... I still think their ultimate drum song is Symptom of the Universe
You guys should check out The Warning if you like this. 3 sisters from Mexico who grew up on old school rock. They have been a band 11 years and the oldest is still only 24. They have dedicated their whole lives to music. You could start with Disciple from Pepsi Center. Happy 20th birthday to Ale! You've been warned!!!!

LOL , at 4:20 of your video is when you hear the very light voice in the background say 'Smoke it .........get high ' . And 6mi. In you hear a bong hit . Seriously, it's in the song , no joke. What's the chance of that 😂
SNOW BLIND.... you need this song in your life.... And into the void, and symptom of the universe..... In fact all the first 6 albums plus dirty women from their 7th album 😂
On UA-cam 1970 Live in Paris Black Sabbath “War Pigs”. It’s great audio and shot on film so great picture quality. You guy’s are going to love seen them live. Pure energy and skill. Watch it please, even if you decide not to react to it. Must see for rock fans of any age. Even non-rock fans will be captivated.
Really digging how deep into the Sabbath rabbit hole you are going! Listen Ozzy is my guy but you owe it to yourself to also hear some Ronnie James Dio singing with Sabbath and Solo. A small in stature guy with a GIANT voice from the rock gods!
Take it from me, you two boys should just go back to the first album and listen to every song, then move on to Paranoid and do the same thing…. The first four albums are all perfect.
I try to get that point across to a LOT of these young reactors when it comes to these older bands like this!! I don't know how old YOU are but I am old enough to have been alive and a teenager when these albums dropped for the first time!! I basically started out in probably 1970 (I was 13 years old) I had heard a couple of songs off Black Sabbath Paranoid! I purchased the Paranoid album and then went back and purchased their FIRST album!! And then at THAT point, patiently waited for Masters of Reality to drop, and then every album after that!! SO listening in chronological order is just about the only way I know how to do it because that's the way I grew up listening!! I think the same holds true for ALL the bands back then, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, whatever band you want to get into, you should start from the very first effort and follow them through chronologically!! Especially when you have a band for example like Pink Floyd which grew so drastically and changed their musical direction in so many ways over the course of just three or four or five albums over a period of maybe 3 years!!😮 That's how I like to explore music!
Young guys listening to 50 years of history of music with an open mind. All my respects guys. Keep going.
My question was always, How could four guys sound like a symphony with just basic instruments? They were utter geniuses!!!! Love this shit man!
Into the Void! Keep rocking!
