Hi Andrew! I really enjoy watching your videos on how to use Affinity for iPad. There are very few options for tutorials in the iPad version, it’s not always easy to relate to the tutorials from the desktop version. I do real estate photography as part of my business and one of the most challenging edits for me is interior photos. I shoot multiple exposures in order to get interior light and views out the windows. I’ve yet to find an easy way to mask and blend the photos. Can you consider doing a video on how to do this? Any help would appreciated! Larry
Hi Larry! Thanks for your comment and kind words. Thanks for your suggestion too, as this sounds like it could be fun! Would it be possible for you to send me a few photos of your interiors, and if it's ok with you, I could do a tutorial using your photos and upload it on my channel? I think this could be a good tutorial for others too :)
@@CreativeGoodman Andrew, not sure if my reply went through so sending again. I’d love to share some photos for you to use for a tutorial! Let me know what email address I can send them to. Larry
@Larry Walsh Hi Larry, deepest apologies, I’m only just seeing your reply now. So sorry for missing it… that would be brilliant if you still don’t mind sending me your photos for a tutorial about this, my email is andrewgoodmanyt@gmail.com apologies again and looking forward to your photos :)
These are the best affinity videos out there, not too complex, very well explained and fun to try, learnt so much already. Keep up the great work 👏 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👍
Thanks for your comment and kind words... as for your question it might be because you're using a smaller iPad screen than me... if this is the case tap the small 'white arrow' on the left beside 'use fill' I think mak and selection will be on the next menu, lmk if this works :)
My goal for this winter is to learn as much as possible about using Affinity Photo 2. I’m in Mexico with my phone, an iPad, and an Apple Pencil, so watching all your videos. Thanks for all the help, I’m really starting to get it.
Hi Andrew, I am looking to get back into my photography and some video, and have been trying to see which apps would be best to use, I’m not a professional nor am I looking to make money. Just work on family items. Adobe photoshop is a great tool to use, but very expensive and I wanted something that will give me what I need without having to break the bank. I found your videos and have been looking at them and you have helped me to decide on purchasing Luma Fusion and Affinti Photo. Your videos on “how to” really are great and I can’t wait to get started on my work using your videos, thank you!
Thank you so much for your comment, kind words and encouragement Mario, I really appreciate it! You have made my day :) Also, I think you have made 100% the right choice with Affinity Photo and Luma Fusion. Those would be my 2 recommendations for photo and video work on the iPad. I use them both and think they're both amazing! I might do Luma Fusion tutorials down the line, but I see Davinci Resolve coming to iPad soon too so it might be good for video work also. LMK in the comments on any of my videos if you need help, and I will try my best to help. All the best with your projects and thanks again :)
@@CreativeGoodman hmmm now that Davinci Resolve will be available for IPad, it looks like an affordable one time price of $95 (what some reports are saying) would be a good app. It is a steeper learning curve for someone like me who is a novice, so I may need to wait on which one to purchase for future use. My first app willl be Affinity, so I will need to wait on video app purchase for now, but will continue my viewing of your Affinity videos and will ask for any help moving forward. Thank you!
Thanks for your comment Jim and I'm glad you're enjoying the series :) What do you mean by adding borders, sorry? Do you mean adding a stroke/outline to a photo? Or something else?

Hello! I just started using Affinity for iPad (looking to be able to use an Apple pencil) and found your channel just today. Have watched three videos so far and find them to be very helpful! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm! Looking forward to working through more of them!
Thanks Heat so much for your comments, kind words and encouragement as I really appreciate it. Glad you found my channel and hope you learn tons from it :)
Hi Andrew, really enjoyed this video. I noticed you did an outline and continued it on outside of the canvas; at each side of the Delorean. Is there a reason why you do this, rather than just stop at the edge of the image and go straight down the edge of the image? Love the videos.
Thanks for your kind words and question Michael. I do it this way prob out of habit, and it also makes sure you get every last pixel, as by going down the side/edge of the image, there is a chance I could miss/cut out part of the photo. Hope that makes sense :)
Just saying thanks for your video’s. It is so great that you make a mix of using the tools as well really finishing the results of using them. It makes things very understandable.
Hello Andrew! Another awesome tutorial! I’m so happy I found your channel. Would you please do a tutorial on more uses of the pen tool? For example, how to draw a dashed line! Lol. I cannot find how to choose the line styles on the iPad version. Thanks again for ALL of your tutorials. They are so helpful and full of great information! Well done!
Many thanks again and over the moon you found my channel Mony and that you've found it helpful too. Thanks for the tutorial suggestion as that's a great idea... I'll add that one to my video to do list :)
Sempre top. Una domanda. Perché quando sposto l’immagine non vedo la linea orizzontale e verticale rossa che mi indicano che sto posizionando al centro esatto l’immagine? Grazie mille ❤️

Nice one cheers!!! Had affinity a while now but it just doesn’t click with me, looks like you have a view vids here so let’s see if I can give it another try with your help! 👌🏻👍🏻
Sorry Sue, I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'can you do that without stitching photos together' could you explain more or show me an example of what you mean? apologies for not understanding :)
@@CreativeGoodman I’m sorry 😞 didn’t make it clear. When I’ve done some images I want to use as a panorama, it’s usually a series of photos of a vista that’s in front of me. What I would like to do is use several cut out images and place them on the panorama using layers as you would in Photoshop. When I’ve tried to do it using the panorama it wants to stitch my images together, that’s not what I want. I’m probably missing something but just want the size of a pano but build up a composite of individual images. Does that make sense? I don’t know how to do it in Afinity. Thanks for coming back to me. I appreciate it.
Try making/doing the cut out again from the start I.e. leave that project, start a new project with the same photo/image, cut that out and see if that works :)
By chance, did you adjust the 'feather selection tool' or the 'grow/shrink election tool' as this would affect the selection lines & dots and move this from the start point/line if you know what I mean :)
Is there any option to know the luminosity of the image at the point where we place the cursor? something like the info tool in Photoshop. I take pictures with a white background and I can't find a way to know if a sector of my image has the value 255-255-255. I use Affinity Photo on an Ipad. Thank you.
Hi OsomaX, if you go to the colour studio and change the colour workspace to ‘HSL Sliders’ and then use the colour picker tool on the your photo, the ‘Luminance’ value will change in the ‘HSL Sliders’. It will show white as a % I.e. 100% is white. Hope this helps :)
OsomaX. If click on the colour studio then change the colour workspace to RGB sliders. Then use the colour picker on the area you want to check then click back on the colour next to the colour picker it will show the luminosity values for the red, green and blue. On a new document with a white background they are all 255.
Thank you! I’m not very good with Affinity Photo. I’ve been using quick selection for cut outs and it never works well for me. This seems better. Took a Northern Irishman to explain to me! I hope you do a lot more on Affinity Photo. All the best, Rob in Belfast. 🙂
