What a nice and really diplomatic video about the Walksnail Avatar Fatshark Dominator system cause they look or behave the same. But Walksnail made have pretty clear that they do not want you as their customer cause in any case it is the customers fault if a unit is dead, even dead on arrival cause they will claim to say that they had shipped it when it had passed their Quality Control. That can be true, but maybe the Quality Control had not really learned to do their job right. DJI handles such issues a lot easier and even repairs a lot cheaper cause my recent MINI 2 had fallen from the chair and then broke a tiny cable of the gimbal. Had no dji care but asked for support and they asked me to send it in . Within 3 days I got a message, what has to be fixed and that they will do it within 3 days if I pay the 42€ which incl. 19% sales tax . 3 days later I got a dji parcel from hungary - where labor force is cheaper than in the Netherlands where they had their repair facility before - and I got a brand new drone in a sealed package with a new serial number and a full warranty which starts from the moment the drone is connected to a dji account the first time. Quite a different experience even though the drone was not cheap. But it was very convenient and smooth procedure, feels like a best case study.
Honestly being an HD pilot I fucking love botgrinder because he says how it is calls it how it is! His content is absolute gold and videos like these are excatly why botgrinder continues to stay my favorite pilot
The only main reason i switch to digital is its not fun flying analog when all your homies are in digital, i could barely finish 3 packs. my HD3's came with messed up optics. sent them back for fixing and they came back with one optic still messed up. i still use my old dom v1's because of it. total BS.
There is some blurriness but I think it looks just like DJI. I also don't see that as a complaint because you can still see what's there... w/ analog and static you can't see anything where the static is.
@@BOTGRINDER Digital isn't needed. You could either build 2 digital quads or 3 analog for the same price. I've pretty much only flown digital and I know when it's about to black out from the latency or blurriness.
Easiest way to sync footage is to clap twice at the start so all recording hears it. Then either clap once at the end for a failed take or three times for a good take. Then when editing just search for the three clap takes and ditch the rest. I am still in the analog camp as well. I know how to set my cameras up correctly and use mid level VTX gear and decent antennas. I think my footage is more detailed to fly by then any HD system footage I have seen. I don't fly around trees I fly IN trees. Secondly I wont EVER ride the DJI bus as they have been banned for any US government contracts for passing sensitive information back to China. Any still active DJI stuff government entities use have had to have a specially written software to stop that. Redcat is on that whole take over with RFID shit and I am not riding that bus either. Buying or continuing to use either of those companies products only supports the demise of the hobby all together. If they get their way we will all be locked into flying that DJI race drone POS because people bought the hype and they now have an established user base to say hey.. we are already in place.
i feel the same! sure DJI has infiltrated our hobby/sport with the populer HD goggle, but i i myself cant justify to switching from analog (yes i have flowen DJI on many occasions). i have always been a Fat Shark fan. But I did not know they sold out to Red Cat!?!?! ive got to do some research on this becuse FS has always had the BEST customer support and, in my opinion the best products with exceptions to a few of there bunk lines. i will stick to my HDO2s and looking at upgrading to the HD zero system on some of my quads. but cant see myself swaping every single one of my aircrafts VTXs to digital when caddix just lost there contract with DJI... i mean think about it, DJI is a shitty company! and im glad to see FS finally came out with some sort of competition. Vanover said it best "Give it 6 months to work out all the kinks" and as long as FS still follows there reputation they will get it ironed out and possably surpass DJI and send them back to the realm of stabilized aircraft. face it, DJI does not keep up with the how fast this technology is advancing in the FPV world! POV.
but why is DJI shitty? they accelerated the digital FPV systems like no other company. their stabilized drones are really good. of course you use them for other purposes than FPV. and geofencing and aeroscope sucks, yes. it is kind of ironic that you say DJI does not keep up with how fast this technology is advancing, when they paved the way for digital FPV. they just do not release unfinished systems like FS do. wait another month until they release their new system. I am pretty sure they will blow out everyone else out of the water. DJI made fpv get their asses up and develop something that is worth it. I also did not like DJI because many people that fly DJI drones are just idiots. but they do make really thought out products. and then, every single chinese manufactured company, which includes TBS use their tax advantage when exporting their made in china products to western countries. not only DJI. DJI is just a chinese founded company, not like gopro or TBS , but these also use the advantage of cheap manufacturing in china, and have it easier to communicate with the community than DJI. but I have hope for HD zero.
unfortunately the fatshark we all know is gone for good along with the customer service, they have been bought out by redcat and their venture capitalist tax avoiding friends.
@@hallio111 dji has been charged with human rights violations, ip theft, non competitive business practices and alot more, they have been rumored to sell drone location data to russia during the ukraine war, i have had a few companys reach out to me personally about code and product theft by dji with proof. there are several reasons they are a shitty company and not one has to do with the video quality.

By having the frame in view on the side is like cheating, as that part of the image is constant the h265 has less area to work in and quality will be visually better. Same goes for narrow lenses
@@pelerinc yes it would. More visual data with the same fixed/limited bitrate. Think 1000 straws in fov vs 1500 straws compressed by the same bitrate, the 1000 straws would look visually better (toy example, but give it a try)

it doesnt look like a replacement for production purposes most definitely; like shallow depth of field with the minecrafty color space, maybe b&w mode would be an interesting test.
Let me start off by saying I am a DJI user. I personally feel that the Fatshark HD system was 💯 rushed for two reasons. First is because Fatshark will drown (pun intended) due to digital being the future of FPV and the second and obvious reason is for money. Say what you want about digital but it's going to be the future of FPV. Analog may still serve a purpose to an extent but the majority of the market for FPV will most likely be digital. Also it's my personal opinion that this hobby community has become so infused with drama, especially in the last couple years. Everyone's crapping on everyone's gear, style of flying and specific companies. I really wish everyone would just chill the heck out (or stfu) and just go fly. Enough of the drama bs and peoples biased opinions. Lets all stop bickering about pointless and mindless BS......If we all put more time into flying and less time with the constant fueds, this community would be a lot better.

@@steve_beatty I understand but this is just the price you pay for a digital system as dominate as the DJI. I will tell you that when I fly with people, I make sure that I let the analog boys have at it and sometimes I let them fly a few packs between my one pack. I don't think DJI is bad because of this, this is the nature of the system. Does walksnail have this similar issue? I don't think this is fair to crap on DJI because of this issue.
my opinion about DJI/Fatshark: both have ties with Rotor riot. In my opinion DJI made the mistake to prioritise collaboration with RR and not supporting people like Botgrinder, but in reality DJI has superb engineering. they don't put out unfinished products. FS and walksnail did that, just to release faster. DJI let them do that, . and they did not sue them. like companies like Gopro did to the FPV companies such as Runcam for riddiculous stuff really. so what did DJI? they released Digital FPV, when everybody else said it is impossible, because their engineering is not good. like FS. no innovation. FS had this position where they used their position at the top to get the most money out of people. so FS? no thanks. also DJI did not just rush out their newest system just because somebody else released theirs earlier. they also did not overtake the whole market just because they can. well kind of, but that was because their product is good. ok they are a goverment protected company kind of. FS is doing what they said they don't like about chinese copycat companies right now. sooo.... IDK but DJI is just a good engineered product for the community. I also don'T like that RR DJI shilling, like in their videos DJI sponsored and stuff. and I don't really like Drib. a smart DJI move would have been to support pilots like mr. steele, bot, etc. but as a whole DJI did not just take out the sales from other FPV companies. at least not intentional. even their FPV drone is just for the DJI folks, cause it is just not made for bando bashing. all in, they just made a system that is amazing, when others did not care to try for the next 10 years. they used their power to do good for the FPV community in reality. FS? lazy bastards if you ask me. praising analog, then switching to DJI copycat system. thank god we also have HDzero. wich also supports analog, the last hope kind of:) they have 2 big community pluses, which is supporting analog modules, and whoops. with the other systems you have to have both, analog setup and Digital. to HD Zero: send Bot your goggle!
yeah... looks bad. real bad. USD$700 bad. If DJI goes tits up (that's what I've been flying for the last 2 years) I'll definitely give HDzero a go. Walksnail Fatshark whatever they call it, not with my moneys. Thanks bot, case closed.
What's the deal with Orqa? They showed some hunks of metal in a display case that was supposed to be their digital system months ago, then fell off the radar.
they probably had too much electro parties at their company, and lost their focus.. lol.. all they made is a few teaser trailers with "can your googles do this"... worst marketing strategy ever. promising while people are waiting and not delivering.

This is one of my points, it does not work well with green, it also depends on the environment, I have seen some really good footage as well... Shout-out to Carl...
Get yourself some dog clickers from amazon for $5 to sync your videos, nothing produces a click like them for syncing in many environments
I'll see where it's at in a few months. I'll have to get something when Vista's dry up, I don't think I could go back to analogue now.
What you’re talking about relating to video games is LOD (level of detail), the further away the object is the less detail etc.
I liked your video and realized I was #421.... I unliked it so it could be at 420 again. If someone else fucks it up again, I'll be back hahaha. I love your videos, you crack me the fuck up
I'd make a comment but I don't wanna lose my favorite blanky
HDZero is sounding good! Analog is good enough for me at the mo tho!!
Please not my favourite blanket!!

Two birds stoned at once!
BotGrinder investigates : tonight at 11 good video and I think it has potential... I vote HDzero now that DJi is discontinued basically
The fog is real. There’s a good chance it will get better. DJI is still shitting all over it right now though even with a few years of no development.
Honestly being an HD pilot I fucking love botgrinder because he says how it is calls it how it is! His content is absolute gold and videos like these are excatly why botgrinder continues to stay my favorite pilot
He also takes huge dab hits most videos and that gets me pretty juicy too ❤️😍
The only main reason i switch to digital is its not fun flying analog when all your homies are in digital, i could barely finish 3 packs. Switching to dji i still see those smudge but not as bad as walksnail. But i do agree on the penetration and fly further out.
Me just waiting for hdzero goggles coz i cant take adding huge vrx module infront
my HD3's came with messed up optics. sent them back for fixing and they came back with one optic still messed up. i still use my old dom v1's because of it. total BS.
Going back to my tbs unify pro32
There is some blurriness but I think it looks just like DJI. I also don't see that as a complaint because you can still see what's there... w/ analog and static you can't see anything where the static is.
my complaint is if i go far enough for analog to get static i can still fly back, if dji or walksnail goes to far it blacks out and my drone crashes.
@@BOTGRINDER Digital isn't needed. You could either build 2 digital quads or 3 analog for the same price. I've pretty much only flown digital and I know when it's about to black out from the latency or blurriness.
But you do you booboo. We know you are going to keep it real
HDZERO is the way (but I always bring 1 analog quad as a life saver). I just want my HDZERO goggles!!!
hdzero is king!!!!! no better customer relations in the game right now... nobody is listening the way carl does.... plus who else has 1s vtx right now
🤘🤘🤘👍
Good vid, keep going man good stuff
Big William Osman vibes in this video. Dope.
I cant do the clapping I need it on screen.
good catch.. i was like -Onions what? ROFL
Bro, still love my Orqa
i feel the same! sure DJI has infiltrated our hobby/sport with the populer HD goggle, but i i myself cant justify to switching from analog (yes i have flowen DJI on many occasions). i have always been a Fat Shark fan.
@@BOTGRINDER wowzers man - just one of those reasons is enough to try and avoid! 😫👍🤜🏻🤛🏻
you're absolutely right this system is not ready for market yet.if I go for this system I'll go with Walksnail NOT Fatshark
🤦 oh man quality control is there for a reason.. bummer they handled it the way they did.
Bet you could hold your radio in front of the camera when you arm, and just use flipping the switch to sync audio.
Some beautiful piloting.
I'm still just waiting on your frame that's supposed to fit the big ass hd-zero. Lol. I just hope Tommy designs it wide enough to protect the plug. Lol
oh it fits fantastic, 3030 mounting holes and all.

Analog for life! FTW!
i am yet to find limits with my analog system, it is still my thumbs that need to do better.
@@LucianoVeryNiceHi me too; really variant of the rf environment analog goes really far, like ive never flow an am rf transmitter and most stuff is 2.4 freq hopping atm. my thumbs are adhd, and ive got these goggles instead of spectacles
Focus issues are the camera lens
I'm going to hold out and see what Orqa comes up with. They aren't Redcat/DJI evil.
Botgrinder you have friends ,you are honest ,you are real 👊👊👊👊 smoke brother ⚗️
Wait... WHAT? Was this MC Bot's world premiere (at 2:42), or have I been sleeping through Bot's videos? More MC Bot! And that 80's-style chorus guitar? I'm telling you...with the echo?...I'm telling you. In fact, it might be time to start up a 2nd UA-cam channel. All great artists evolve over time. Think Prince. Or Madonna. Well maybe just Prince. I hope you'll decide to follow this great advice and when you do, you're gonna need a new intro theme. And I got you. It's based on "MotownPhilly" of course. Duh.
Botgrinder is back again
Doin' a little FPV.
Gettin' high and reviewing stuff
So just sit back and take a puff.
Botgrinder - FPV - THC !
Was this before or after the firmware update?.
Ha ! Eat my cereal! Steal my blanket!
Hit on my MOM!! Dude she likes you…
Now that would be scary, are you my new daddy;)
Every digital fanboys pooping their pants "uu it's blocky, uuuuh it's not HD"...but in my case I keep it chill and enjoying the analog flying, at the end of the day I have saved more cashe in my pockets and having more fun rather to throw them on gimmicks that actual dosen't improve your pilot skills.
I don't ever bother to switch on digital in the near future.
By having the frame in view on the side is like cheating, as that part of the image is constant the h265 has less area to work in and quality will be visually better. Same goes for narrow lenses
Good point with the frame in view. But a narrow lens wouldn't have the same effect.
@@pelerinc yes it would. More visual data with the same fixed/limited bitrate. Think 1000 straws in fov vs 1500 straws compressed by the same bitrate, the 1000 straws would look visually better (toy example, but give it a try)
Lmao homie did you record your own rap..... Did I hear a cricket rap in there.
Yep too many sell outs in the FPV world now. Analog all the way.
Oh shoot you're real!!!
My sky04x work perfectly and I'm not spending that much money on hd for the scenery to look a bit better when I'm doing flipy flopy sbanging freestyle juiciness 😁
i would say snag up a sharkbyte vtx someone is selling when the new goggles come out.... it really is a nice improvement with not a lot of compromise
@@toxicfpv304 hmmmm vtx wont fit in my apex but its the one hd system i want to work zero bite frosty shark .seriously tho the pic i get in my skyzones is awesome the only time it is a problem is when i get breakup when the penatration wont go thru 100ft of concrete like dji dose but i dont do that sort of flying much at all
It looks to be not ready for prime time.
it doesnt look like a replacement for production purposes most definitely; like shallow depth of field with the minecrafty color space, maybe b&w mode would be an interesting test.

Question 1, Is grandpa bardwell lying about his motives ?
4:04 Not my favorite blanket!!!
Botgrinder just go get the DJI 03 and be done with it 😂😂😂
Dji is a really shitty company I'd rather fly analog then give them any money 😅
Lets all stop bickering about pointless and mindless BS......If we all put more time into flying and less time with the constant fueds, this community would be a lot better.
there was a LOT less drama before dji designed their intrusive system...A LOT less...
@@steve_beatty 100% agree
@@steve_beatty help me understand what you mean by intrusive. I'm not coming at anyone I just want to have a better understanding. So if you can explain a little more please.
@@trollfpv3254 sure...so...the 50mbps transmission rate ( No one flies 25mbps ) pares our typical 8 race band channels down to 3 that take up the whole band....leading to a lot of standing around at best ....the 2 way system broadcasts on R6 (their R8) every time one of them fires up...the goggles transmit and can take someone out by themselves if a careless dji user scans through someones active channel even if their quad is not plugged in . .they transmit on a channel that's just a little broader even on 25 mbps for some reason....ie: my channel R6 might be 5806....they transmit on 5806.5 ...I'm sure I've forgotten some detail but Imma goin' flyin'... 😉
Good Air, Straight Props 🖖🏼
@@steve_beatty I understand but this is just the price you pay for a digital system as dominate as the DJI. I will tell you that when I fly with people, I make sure that I let the analog boys have at it and sometimes I let them fly a few packs between my one pack. I don't think DJI is bad because of this, this is the nature of the system. Does walksnail have this similar issue? I don't think this is fair to crap on DJI because of this issue.
I DARE YOU TO PLUG IN 6S WALKSNAIL! also is there a place to dl the song @ 2:43
Looks like it doesn’t do to well at parks. It seems crystal clear at parking garages and bandos from what I’ve seen so far
Redcat rc cars are the worst. Everyone in the rc car game looks down on redcat as a brand. I imagine they will do the same shit with fpv
different companys, the fpv redcat just stole the name from the rc car maker.
my opinion about DJI/Fatshark:
both have ties with Rotor riot.
Bro the music 😂 I’m going to make my own song
Lemme guest spot.
yeah... looks bad.
My honest onions say just use a fu*kin 2S goggle battery like a normal dude.
I litterally don't know anyone that uses 2s irl for goggles. But I appreciate your onions.
