@@terde9651 That's Luggard. Mother poached and he wss shot 2x but was found by DSWT, rescued and found: healing, friends, fun and much love before as a baby ellie........he didnt make it🤔 3 years later? He had some good short yrs. Because of them
God bless Dame Sheldrick for not giving up after her husband's death but creating a wonderful sanctuary for orphans who experience such devastation in their early lives can come & be loved by people who work there & other orphans who have similar experiences She did this to honor her husband & was able to bring joy back into her heart & to continue this with her children & grandchildren God bless all of you such big hearts

😢 of joy watching this. They are SO loved but I look at their eyes and wonder what they have seen. There was one with a swollen back leg? Hope nothing serious? Thanks for sharing; love&light to all and the amazing staff ♡ ♡ ♡ 🐘🐘
The poor baby with the swollen leg was Luggard, one I had adopted for more than a few years. He had serious injuries which the wonderful vets and caregivers tended and did everything possible to heal and alleviate his pain. He healed enough to at least enjoy being part of the elle herd there, playing and forming attachments with them. When I learned that he’d died, it was some time after he had needed to be moved with his other age grouping to their next step in still protected park, but no longer in the nursery area. It broke my heart, but sadly, it seemed almost unavoidable. I wondered how he would be able to keep up with these now much bigger, adolescent elephants or reach water holes in time of drought, escape predators? If only it had been safe for him to remain at the nursery… But that wouldn’t have been safe for the babies, most likely. Or a normal life for a growing male elephant. I am grateful that he knew kindness, love and caring for his life there at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. ❤️
Awww bless them heartwarming to see the love n trust between babies n their carears 💕🐘🐘God bless you all for the wonderful work you do you’re all angels 👼 👍🐘💕
+Andrew Harper not yet :( However, it's on the bucket list. I fell in love with elephants because of Shirley who is now retired in the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. She is 69 years old. :)
Luggard is one of my fosters, so I love seeing him with the other beautiful elephants. It would be amazing to have the chance to visit DSWT and have this up close experience. Thanks for the wonderful video!
I wish all the animals and birds which are now kept in cages all over the world by human due to any purpose may be cared and treated if needed and then be freed in forest on atleast in national parks so that they can have a free and happy life. It is their right. They should not be caged till death.
It is to be a vast researched about the natural milk of a mamma elephant, so that we can make same kind of milk to provide to orphan baby elephant. In it orphaned baby will not deprive from normal growth, health and normal strength in their youth .
+colormyworld90 It's a permanent disability unfortunately. His name is Luggard. When he graduates from the nursery, he's moving to an area called Umani Springs where it's more "forest" than Savanna. He won't have to travel hundreds of miles to look for water if he decides to live in the wild.
There are keepers with the elephants at all times to protect them from lions in the park and ensure they are all back in time for feeding. Baby elephants are also very intelligent and hungry animals, so they are inclined to keep to their feeding schedule once they learn it.
+Hai Van Nguyen I've also read recently that some of the babies know it's almost milk time when they hear the walkie-talkies hissing and the keepers talk to each other on it. :D
PLEASE! PLEASE!! PLEASE!!! Order the needed surgery on the INJURED Back Right Leg of that elephant that is almost crippled! What is the delay or status on that ellie? Please update! Are u awaiting funding? What? It NEEDS 2B ADDRESSED...🙏🙏🙏
I think of the trauma these little ones have suffered and am so thankful they are in a safe and loving place.
God bless these amazing creatures and the people who care and love them.

Thankyou for shares the video ,Thankyou for all your hard work to save the baby elephants life ❤️
I was wondering why these babies are all rushing home. How cute and loving are all these elephants. God bless your good work
They're so sweet! Yes, David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is a phenomenal organization. We're huge fans of their rehabilitation efforts.
They rush back, because they're fed milk when they get there. Not real milk, but the kind elephants can digest.

The one elephant that was limping at 1:40 😭
That baby elephant had been shot by poachers, but was expected to make a full recovery! Not to worry - it's in great hands ☺️

To think that each one of these beautiful creatures represents a mother who has been killed is sickening
I really wanted to know how the elephants know the time for milk..??

Theyre so obsessed with there milk hahahs yum yum!
Is there any reason for the green coats. They seem quite cumbersome ?
Como eu gostaria de ser uma voluntária para cuidar dos bebês elefantes.
¿Y ese que tenía la pata fatal?
I want to do this so bad!
very good
why do elephants tumble in mud ? And also why the keepers throw mud on them?
To protect from hot sun. Stay cool. Hippos do it too
Who is the baby with the damaged leg?
I wish to work with baby elephant! How can I get?
Why in some videos you push these wounderful elephants away from milking
It's very possible that the elephant being pushed away just wants more and has already received his/her ration of milk.
❤
Wonder why they love that dirt on them so much?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘🤗
I could watch baby elephants all day.
