I follow several channels about elephants, they show me what a healthy world looks like and what people should be like. Elephants intuitively distinguish between appropriate behavior and reprehensible behavior because they do not know falsehood. In addition, their sphere of family bonds impresses me.
He's so small and his legs are so long. He reminds me of Kanisha. What a lovely little fellow. I feel bad he doesn't have a mom, but he's so happy and loved. He will grow up to be a caring elephant. Thank you for all your hard work and care.
Hello Joshua, you have the most wonderful job in the world! Enjoy, have a very happy happy day and thank you for your love and care of your little friend
You can literally feel the love and devotion! The moment Phabeni laid in the sand, said it all! The sound of the water is soothing! Bless you Joshua and all at HERD!!
This is such a joy to watch. I am so thankful for the rescue of this wonderful baby. Watching him is like watching Little Miss Sunshine all over again. 😊❤
Phabeni little by little will get used to the new family that has taken him under their care. Soon, he will realize that he found a wonderful herd that will be his forever family. Thanks to all the carers, Adine and Dr. Rogers for all your care and dedication..🥰♥️🐘🍀🙏🏻💪🏡🌟

He's much calmer, eyes not so sunken, what a beautiful calf. You done so well everyone, looking forward to the day he meets his substitute Mum & Adoptive Herd! 👏👏👏🫶💙☘️
11-25-23, my birthday, and a gift it is to see this little one receiving such loving care. My heart aches that they lost their mothers but thank God for the orphanage and amazing staff for their loving care. Heaven sent.
It really amazes me how well Phabeni uses his trunk. I am wondering if the reason he uses his trunk so well is because he was on his own and had to depend on himself to survive for a while.
That and superior genetics. He hit the lottery to survive like he did and to be so dexterous so young. His parents must’ve been something else in the elephant world.
@@toscadonnaIts not like he actually went through any feat of strength or intelligence, considering he only has extremely minor scratches on his back from going in and out of livestock/backyard fences. No trauma, no screaming, no issue with the bottle. He was definitely spared from the harshest reality of life. One of Sheldrick trust's orphans ran off and came back the next morning missing his tail, chunks from his back legs and his face. Little guy escaped the pack of lions and made it back. 💞🐘I've got a new love🐘💞 Feisty Phabeni you are loved all over the world now! Joshua bless your heart for making this precious baby feel safe! Phabeni you're in your forever home. What a beautiful sight...Phabeni and Joshua enjoying the garden, sun and water. I would love to see him in the pool and enjoying the water, but that day will come. 🌊🌊❤
Joshua and the team at HERD are doing a wonderful job getting Phabeni used to his new life. He has the will to live and grow to be an adult Bull. So glad he is so strong active playful and curious. So fun to watch him in his water trough.
Such a cutie-pie. I know he misses his mom & others but ya'll do take very good care of the elephants. Thank you for taking such good care of them all especially the little ones. He will grow strong.
I remember Khanysia when she was this size.......these little ones in still so much hope to everyone....i am so looking forward to seeing his progress.....I still miss Fenya
What a beautiful little ellie. So small and already has a lovely character . So blessed to be in the best place ever. May he too grow up to have a long life amongst the other elephants there, where he will be well cared for. ❤❤
Phabeni 🐘 is enjoying a drink and a sand bath with Joshua. He seems to be very happy there and trusting. It did not take very long for him to settle down. It does look like he is putting on some weight since he has been at HERD 🐘. His face doesn't look as sunk in like it did when he was rescued. He was so cute at his pool front legs down and his face down to get a drink. Phabeni 🐘 you are in very good hands and before to long a new elephant 🐘 family awaits for you with loving trunks. Thank you to all the carers for loving this bull 🐘.

So good to see how much more relaxing he becomes day by day! 2 days ago I saw him standing still in his nursery by the wall, just standing still and you could see his mind wondering of to a sad place and my heart cried for him. Ahhh Joshua what a super nice sand bathing you gave him❣🙌😇.. he was liking it a lot!!..just be with you and allow you to do it ..wauw ...So nice to see 🤎
It breaks my heart to see Him do “elephant things” like stand in the shade and drink with his trunk. It just demonstrates he was part of a herd and taught and loved. How heartbreaking that he was somehow lost! His mom and allomothers must have been torn apart. But now he’s in for happier times and he is bonding with his human part of the herd, on his way to join Tokwe and her herd. Bless you little guy. ❤️🇨🇦
