He was and still is a local politician. If you are a conservative politician, 50% of any group will loathe you. That is normality for him. He is mayor 2022/3 again.
Mark is awesome, so clever but so humble, never being a know it all and a good listener. I really enjoyed Angie as well, she says exactly what she thinks but somehow still comes across sincere and sweet
I started out liking both Vanessa and Angela, but later found Vanessa rude and condescending. I thought they would be great mates after the show, but again Vanessa was rude on her night refusing to eat her food. It may have been because Angie said Malta wasn’t big enough for her, though. Angie must colour her blonde roots lol she’s ditzy as hell, but seems a lot of fun to be around. I thought Vanessa was quite mean to mark and he took everything in stride. Mark was nice and fair to everyone. Aaron was just a blob in the corner voting everyone low to increase his odds. He’s not worth writing about.
Aaron made two bland, fake curries and has the nerve to talk like that about Marks food. Lol. Idk why I’m so overprotective of Mark, but I don’t like the other 3.
Okay now I understand why Angela is so different from the English people I see on here. Lol. Her personality was much louder and out there, she reminded me more of an American.
Watching this show today and its sad how adults act like bullies on live TV. Mark was great. Aaron purposely gave everyone low scores to increase his odds of winning. He is callous and downright ugly.
Aaron was a wanker from the beginning to the end.... Funny thing is, he considers himself the best of the best while in reality he is a wanna-be celebrity.
Very interesting. Lamb/mutton meat is very popular in my country, it has its own section at the shops, just like beef or chicken. But I can also understand that if you haven't grown up in that culture, it would seem wrong. I've never met anyone who has eaten rabbit though.
Angela is really something else!! She is totally and completely rude and disgraceful. The way she kept coming after Mark was just so uncalled for!! So what if the man is different than you are so what!! He is not doing anything criminal and he can be different all he wants to and be exactly the way he wants to!! As long as you're not hurting anyone or doing something criminal. You are allowed to be the person you want to be... And no one else has a right to put you down for that. UNLESS you are like Angela who's just plain rude and distasteful and just downright MEAN!! If I would have been involved in that dinner I would have turned around and told her you know what Angelina you need to shut your mouth. The comments you make to people are very rude and hurtful. Why are you tearing everybody else apart.... Is that because you're trying to elect yourself?? Cuz I got a News bulletin for you there's nobody that's feeling very good about you!! I felt so bad for Mark dealing with the likes of her. I just wished he would have put her in her place and told her 'your comments are not appreciated but I would appreciate it if you would stop making them'. Oh and can I call you a cab? Oh and you mean wait out on the porch for the cab..Bye Bye now!! She would not have stayed in my home for 2 more minutes!!!😡
I am only up to Mark's start of dinner, but do you really think Angela rude? She is uneducated, unschooled in reserved English manners. She is immensely curious and doesn't know English people are far more reserved about showing curiosity, or answering questions. So far, I have not found her rude or disgraceful! She just has not learnt to show the reserve of most anglo English people.
I think you have blown this out of proportion. My view of the women were straight talking, flirting a little bit. Nothing a man wouldn't be offended by.
Terminal velocity is reached with parachute jumping. Then, it is stable, until parachute pulled. That speed can vary, if you are going head first, if you are streamlining yourself, etc You don't increase speed with height, once a steady fall is established. You could fall faster, to start with, if you were so high that the air is thinner.
I wouldn't eat bunny rabbit either.....😥. I had rabbits for a total of 17 years. The most sweetest the most precious pet you could ever have!!!!!!!!💞💗💞
The pragmatism of the Maltese is based on the hardship of Maltese life. Let us not forget that during WW2, Malta was bombed appallingly. People were living most of their life under ground, to try to survive the bombings, close to starving to death. The Axis powers had stopped ships bringing supplies and Malta could not support itself. The hardship of the Maltese people, supporting sqns trying to keep the supply ships safe to arrive and unload, the number of times starving Maltese were waiting for a supply ship, being told that it would be there tomorrow, only to hear it was destroyed by German subs or bombers or bomber/fighters, is so sad to read about. Then to be told it would be another week - and then find out that ship, too, is destroyed before unloading... The hardship of the Maltese and their grim stoicism, moved George VI to award the whole of Malta the George Cross. The luckiest ate the odd wild shot rabbit. They came to eat dogs, cats, even rats. Those generations would see raising rabbits in the tiny yards they had as backyards, as a guarantee of food and quality. I could not go there, but I do understand their mindset. I would not eat rabbit or lamb. I have rescued sheep as pets. No sooner eat lamb or mutton, as dog.
I would love to read a Maltese history telling about the war experience there. Being such a small country, I've never heard anything about it. Have to say, I'd never not eat an animal that has been specifically bred for consumption. Dogs, cats, I get it, they're pets. Rabbits & lambs, not so much. I take too much pride in being a rational person to let a creature's cute appearance affect my judgment. Likewise I'd be just as content to eat rats, if they tasted good. I do enjoy squirrel meat. My grandmother used to hunt them for us and I don't think a meat is dirty because it happens to be from a rodent. (Rabbits and squirrels are both rodents).
thks for upload. i think from the comments here many didnt like Aaron i thought he was a nice guy, and the others too were nice. Mark is from a totally different social scale but he tried his best, but his food was a little boring. However, i enjoyed this episode and they deserved to win.
I've always used mashed potatoes. Thinking about it, using potatoes would probably mean using less fish - sounds like a wartime recipe. I'll try with breadcrumbs next time. Thanks for replying!
@@bridgebridgebridge My pleasure. I think you are probably correct about the wartime recipe. Hope you enjoy with the breadcrumbs… and of course more fish.
Vanessa must - or SHOULD have been spitting she didn't know Mark was Mayor. As a real estate agent, she should have known, and he would have been a very good contact to have with potential purchasers wanting to change usage of properties. She is playing very middle class, but how doesn't she know the official title of a mayor? Your highness? Angela and Aaron, wave through. Not their scene. But Vanessa - a pretender to the class she is, lower middle class, not middle class.
Mark was too classy for these crass people especially the two ladies can imagine a kid behaving this way but two grown woman shows their inferiority complex.
I always notice how mean people are to the one at the table that is perceived as less attractive than the rest. They think they are stupid and boring regardless of whether or not they actually are. Just treated as less than for seemingly no other reason than their ‘#’. Sad. Worse is becuase those that act like that are only attractive in their own minds and are unaware of their own ‘#’.
Having watched a lot of these, I'm always wary of the first host. They mostly turn out to be overly critical, picky, unpleasant people. They know, so they go first and turn on the charm full blast to give themselves a chance at winning.
Oh Mark! Just found the remark that refers to which came first, chicken or egg. Whilst Mark's view of which came first is well thought out, I am SO disappointed with him not knowing that dinasours laid eggs, long before chickens, as chickens, existed. But at least his considered theory beats the Religionist in these comments, who apparently believes God of some kind, unpacked the first chicken which then laid the first egg. Just so depressing that to be seen as a devout Xtian, you have to exhibit jaw dropping ignorance of biology - and no doubt everything else.
She is uneducated, has mixed with uneducated people who have never had a reason to worry about etiquette, history, etc. That doesn't mean she is thick. She has a very nice, undemanding little business, which she may well have developed herself, seems friendly and non judgemental, and very curious. That points to a degree of inbuilt intelligence. She has not learnt about the inbuilt reserve and judgemental observation of probably the majority of anglo background English. So she can seem confrontational, but she really is enthusiastically, uninhibitedly curious. A great sign of intelligence and a desire to understand. Sadly, she seems to have not had the opportunity or has been put off formal learning. I suspect by some middle class, 2nd rate teachers, who judged her from her speech, background, and not her potential.
Hey, Mark, just so you know a bit of truth, the chicken hen &, her male counterpart, the rooster were created by the Creator God during the seven days of creation & some time later the chicken hen lay the first egg. God bless! ~~~ I really liked Mark & Angela = very down to earth & seemingly pleasantly nice people they are.
LOL. That goes down well if you're 7 and you actually believe in Santa. If your remark is about which came first, (I haven't got to that part yet), the egg came LONG BEFORE the hen. Eggs were laid by dinasours. Pity that people have to actually fight hard to be ignorant, and stay that way, when it comes to being a 'good' Xtian. Do you seriously believe hens were created with the first dinasours? Seriously? If it weren't really sad and concerning, it would be hilarious. The way they piled on Mark, really made me want to start throwing hands.

This was an awesome episode. Everyone was so pleasant and as Mark said they became a little close group. ❤

You won't eat rabbit but you're happy serving lamb? Hm, okay. And Aaron scoring everyone low (especially poor Vanessa) so he'd win - pathetic.
