Sure you can, remove the brackets, and there is plenty of room. Check out our early videos, we used the mythos one in all our cafes prior to the anfims! 👍🏻
In a home setting, it's fun to dose into a portafilter. In a commercial setting, I could understand the need for the convenience and consistency of the dosing cups.
I used to use a dosing cup for grinds, and sandwich bags for weighing out my beans. I could then shove the bags in an airtight container to keep the beans fresher for longer. I like the container idea though. That's genius!
Thanks, I like those little tubs. I stole the idea awhile back from Lyn Weber Designs, I use their shaker in my home setup. In the evening when my focus is sharper I pre-measure into spice test tubes with stoppers to make my morning ritual a little more brainless. With the tubs you won't need to mess with a funnel!
Thanks for this. I'm one week into my espresso journey and find when I try and grind into a portafilter it tends to go everywhere. I was looking at dosing funnels, but as I plan on single dosing and weighing my beans for the week would dosing cups be an easier option?
Nice video guys. A quick question. I recently bought a metal dosing cup, it helps a lot. My only issue is that some small amount of grind resides in the bottom when i flip it and does not fall in the portafilter. Is that a defect of mine cup? Not a big deal probably less than a gram but still annoys me
Would you recommend air tight containers for your single dose pots?? I would assume the beans would age faster if not in an air tight environment - because each dose would be exposed to a greater surface area of air compared with storing in one large container. ?
Surface area is based on the bean itself not the amassed beans. A single bean sitting on the counter will oxidize at the same rate as an open container of beans.
Just look for baby food containers. Works similar. I have a bunch of Oxo Tot baby cubes that I am using for coffee now. predose, toss in single dose grinder.
Great video with practical information.
Our pleasure!! 👊🏻
thanks. great vid.
Thank you! :)
Love your work boys!
I don't know why people still measure out in the portafilter. Dosing cups are just much smarter. Great video!
Because my grinder, the mythos1, doesn't have space for a cup, only for a portafilter. I wish it were different but can't use the cups unfortunately

Ready to go portion control in the right size container. 👍🏻

Nice
What's the bean's shelf life when pre-loaded in the little plastic dosing tubs?
Love the look of that espresso machine. What model is it?
It’s a LaMarzocco linea PB. We ❤️ them!
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters oh okay we have actually have the same one at my work but it’s a two group head version. Thanks!
But the grinds get stuck in the dosing ‘pot’ sometimes due to static. How can u be sure your dose is correct then ?
thanks for sharing. How many grams do you use with the 58mm?
The recipe for our house blend is 22.5g

Yes if your pre weighing and dosing that’s the way to go!
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters Thanks! Really enjoying your videos.

We have not experienced this, is it static that hold it in? You could try coating it with a polish and see if that helps 👍🏻
i use medicine bottles . thank you mental health for the free coffee dosing jars
Ha ha awesome! They would do the job nicely if they fit the portafilter :)
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters ya I use a 51mm. I know it is not that popular but it is so easy to empty out the pucks and there is less channeling.
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters they have an air tight lock and are not see-through wich also helps store the beans in.
Do you have a cafe in Gold Coast? Somewhere near Biggera Waters?
No it yet sorry! 😢 but we are happy to support one!!👍🏻
The white device... Is that the tamp?
Where did you get the stand for your scale on the espresso machine? Is that home made?
no we sell them on our store! or from Anfim suppliers
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters I didn't seem them. Can you post a link?
What automatic tamp device is that?
It’s a cinoart pt2 we have a review on our channel For more info

You left the hopper gate open, the next barista ain't going to be too happy 😊
🤦🏼♂️ lucky it was me again 😂
Hi guys, Im waiting the video, where explain how you can grind without need to keep press the trigger of the grinder 😂 cheers from Chile 🇨🇱
😂 I built it! It’s call I-grind. Just not ready to release it yet
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters Wooooo good on ya!!!
Any chance of shipping the plastic dip tubs for a reasonable price to the EU? It's really hard to find them here

Unfortunately the freight is huge for us to ship to you. Sorry
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters Okay, thanks for responding :)
They won't fit the portafilter holder on my Vario 886.
In the U.S. we call them a DOSING CUP.
I interest to buy dissing pot
If your in Australia, you can buy them from artisti.com.au otherwise you'll need to find a supplier near you.
👍👍👍👍👍 ☕️☕️☕️
Using pre-measured dosing cups on a grinder that has known retention issues. 🤔
Sure, if you know the retention you can always pre way the difference. The ek is pretty close.
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters .. That's the problem with that grinder it's all over the place. +/-1.0g not +/-0.1g or even +/-0.2g. See Hoffman.
Unecisscary over complication. Might as well just pull from Nespresso pods.
Hi interest fo buy this item but how can I from Cambodia 🇰🇭
