I just needed to find out how to remove the driver side panel to find and connect the impossible to access trailer brake connector and JP does an excellent job of showing each little step on removing the panel. It worked so well and I'm wired and ready to go. This is how UA-cam help videos are supposed to be made.

@JPtheinstallguy I have a 2016 pilot ex-l with the 9" oem touchscreen 7 speakers no nav. I bought a boss BE9ACP-C but I can't find a plug and play wiring harness. The Metra 70-1729 is not even close to fitting. Is it hard to hardwire the connections??
Great video, our radio broke and the dealer quoted $4000 to replace it. Watched the video and replaced it ourselves for so much cheaper
Thank you for this video. Now I'm going to save myself some money and get the LX version instead of the EX. The Pilot plugs look much easier than the Camry plugs that shoot from every direction.

What is that gray plug at 3:30? I can’t remember if it was actually plugged into something.
I have a 2016 honda pilot and after about 40 mins of drive I have white noise come over the stereo....it doe not matter what function I use the noise will not go away until you take the car off for about 5 mins. When you crank the car up again you can drive for another 40 mins before you hear the white noise again. Any ideas? I took it the the dealership but all they want to do it repair the head unit which will cost me 2000 dollars but they are not sure that will fix the problem. Help please
Did the illumination wire connection from harness work or did you have to tap into another wire? I have a 2019 Passport and the orange wire connections from HU and harness adapter do not match with factory harness, that spot is actually for subwoofer from what I've read. Folks have advised to tap into pin 3 on unused connector for CD player. Looking to confirm on your experience with the Kenwood.
this radio still worked with the illumination. now to be honest a lot of aftermarket radios now dont have an illumination wire on the harness so you might not need it depending on the radio you buy
Thanks JP...That factory radio does not include Sirius XM. If I wanted to add a Sirius XM head unit is there a factory radio antenna connector or would I have to add another aftermarket antenna for Sirius?
You would need to add an extra sirius xm antenna if the car didn't already have one
What harness & what module did you use to install the new radio? Which company makes them? I have a 2018 Honda Pilot EXL & I cant find the right harness and module to install a pinoneer avic radio. Please respond.

I wanted to add an amplifier for subwoofer and needed to know which wire ( color) is a remote wire from factory radio. Anyone can tell me?
