    Part 1: • Sammy the Bull on How ...
    --------
    In a recent interview, reformed mobster 'Sammy The Bull' Gravano, shared insights on notorious hitman, Gregory Scarpa, otherwise known as The Grim Reaper. Scarpa, allegedly responsible for over 120 hits, also earned another infamous moniker, The Mad Hatter. Gravano, having grown up in the same neighborhood as Scarpa, recalled their parallel existence in the Mafia, describing him as a dangerous man. In the interview, Gravano also revealed how Scarpa, acting as an informant, provided valuable assistance to federal authorities. In a bizarre twist, the notoriously tough hitman inadvertently contracted AIDS in an error of judgement during a blood transfusion. Gravano also recalled incidents of violence in his own clubs, demonstrating the tension that was prevalent in Mafia circles.

    Fun fact, he was also an informant. I dont say this to make any statement about his character but to offer the reminder that even the coldest killers in history have been informants. This has ALWAYS been part of the street and gang culture. But if you let these internet tough guys tell it, "Real Gangsters don't rat."

    • @empireoflizards
      @empireoflizards 6 місяців тому +2

      Maybe an irrelevant point here, but there does seem to be quite a fixation on the comments of this channel of how much of a rat that Sammy is/was. I mean, his whole case is public knowledge...yet it is treated like a revelation that must be reinforced, lol

    • @Rangerfan11
      @Rangerfan11 6 місяців тому +1

      There’s a lot of truth to what you say..but there are a few examples of some real heavy weights who never ratted. One being Sonny Franzcese…and the Gemini twins off the top of my head. Also Junior Persico, Albert Anastasia. There are more but you are correct..most of them can’t do that time so they rat. Back in the day things were different. There weren’t many rats before Scarpa and Sammy. So real Gangsters do life in my opinion.

    Gregory Scarpa (May 8, 1928 - June 4, 1994), nicknamed the Grim Reaper and also the Mad Hatter, was an American caporegime and hitman for the Colombo crime family, as well as an informant for the FBI. During the 1970s and 80s, Scarpa was the chief enforcer and veteran hitman for Colombo boss Carmine Persico. He was sentenced to life in prison in 1993 for three murders, and died on June 4, 1994.
    In the summer of 1964, according to Schiro and other sources, FBI field agents in Mississippi recruited Scarpa to help them find missing civil rights workers Andrew Goodman, James Chaney, and Michael Schwerner. The FBI was convinced the three men had been murdered, but could not find their bodies. The agents thought that Scarpa, using illegal interrogation techniques not available to agents, might succeed at gaining this information from suspects.
    Once Scarpa arrived in Mississippi, local agents allegedly provided him with a gun and money to pay for information. Scarpa and an agent allegedly pistol-whipped and kidnapped Lawrence Byrd, a TV salesman and secret Klansman, from his store in Laurel and took him to Camp Shelby, a local Army base. At Shelby, Scarpa severely beat Byrd and stuck a gun barrel down his throat. Byrd finally revealed to Scarpa the location of the three men's bodies. The FBI has never officially confirmed the Scarpa story. Though not necessarily contradicting the claim of Scarpa's involvement in the matter, investigative journalist Jerry Mitchell and Illinois high school teacher Barry Bradford claimed that Mississippi highway patrolman Maynard King provided the grave locations to FBI agent Joseph Sullivan after obtaining the information from an anonymous third party.
    In January 1966, Scarpa allegedly helped the FBI a second time in Mississippi on the murder case of Vernon Dahmer, killed in a fire set by the Klan. After this second trip, Scarpa and the FBI had a sharp disagreement about his reward for these services. The FBI then dropped Scarpa as a confidential informant. Source Wikipedia

    Yeah honestly with Scarpa I buy the 120 number. He was involved for about 40 years. He was one of the main hitmen in the Colombo family which had a very violent history with plenty of wars and bosses quick to use violence. 40 years, 120 murders is 3 per year. I could see him having knowledge of or loosely being involved in 120 murders, as for murders by his own hand I'd probably guess more like 30-40. He was known for going on hits even in his later years after getting AIDS so the number, while it sounds unbelievable is actually not as unlikely as it sounds.

    Great film is Mississippi burning,strange they don’t show that today because it’s well acted and being a Oliver stone film if I remember correctly,it was definitely pro civil rights and didn’t glorify the clan,they should show films like that even more today because it shows how far America has changed and the effort Anglo Americans actually made,u have full control and decided to share it,that’s good is it not and the left,they definitely don’t like sharing power

    Sammy looks board to tears on that picture,hilarious!!this clad geezer is a funny choice to interview the most real powerful real as it gets manly mob legend of the last 40 years I think,vlad is too left,too woke and too opinionated to interview sammy,he seems to think keefe d and boozy are the same level as east coast la cosa nostra,California bloods are street thugs,good luck to them but sammy and John were very important people to their people,huge city contracts àn union control that no offence but I can’t see keefe d negotiating a 90£ million dollar windows contract can u?these men are like our old timers here in uk,big earning community savvy honourable men,they dint sell £20 dollar bags of crack,vlad do your home work and don’t argue with guests about politics because it’s bad manners,it’s very left wing behaviour,go on the news press mute and I guarantee the conservative will be sat still just talking yet the leftist will be eye rolling,interrupting while throwing their arms aloft like excitable children
