  • John from www.discountjuicers.com/ compares the Omega MM900HDS which is the Medical Medium's Favorite Masticating Juicer for Juicing celery and the Omega NC800, John's favorite Horizontal Single Auger Cold Press Juicer. In this full juicer review, you will learn the specific differences and similarities between these two omega juicers and discover if it is worth buying the Omega MM900 instead of the Omega NC800 Single Auger Cold Press Juicer.
First, you will discover more about the all-new MM900HDS Masticating Juicer that is being promoted by Anthony William, who is known as the Medical Medium, he has publically said, " My favorite masticating juicer for celery juice is the MM900HDS Omega Low Speed Masticating Celery Juicer-it’s so good we have licensed our name for use on this model."
You will learn if this juicer is best for juicing celery with its special patent-pending Celery Juice End Cap that is said to extract more celery than other juicers. You will learn if this statement is true or not. You will discover some of the features of the juicer that you lose if you purchase the MM900 over the NC800 which is known as a Nutrition Center because it can do more than just juice.
First, you will learn more about juicing celery, juicing, juicers and John's opinion on the "best juicer for celery" which is not as straightforward as it may seem.
Next, you will learn more about each of these cold press masticating juicers and all the parts.
Next, you will discover the differences in price and warranty of these two machines in the USA as well as getting customer service warranty support from Omega as both these juicers have a 15-year warranty.
Next, John will compare each model, part-by-part so you can learn the differences between the Omega NC800 nutrition center and the Omega MM900HDS which is being promoted by the Medical Medium. You will discover more about how each juicer works.
You will then learn how to assemble each juicer. They are easy to assemble once you do it a few times.
Next, you will learn what each juicer sounds like when they are turned on without any produce being juiced.
Next, John will do a juice-off comparison test, and juice equal amounts of organic celery in each juicer. You will learn how much juice each model makes, along with how much pulp was created by each juicer. You will also learn more about the quality and color of the Juice based on John's experience.
Next, you will discover how you can extract even more juice from the celery pulp that came out of the juicer by running it back thru the juicer.
Finally, John will strain the juice so you can learn how much pulp was put into each juice and how great the difference was. You will learn about the total yield by adding first pressed juice and re-juiced pulp to learn about the adjusted yield.
After watching this episode, you will learn if Anthony William's Favorite Juicer is the juicer you should buy if you want to eat healthier and drink celery juice every day. You will learn about all the pros and cons of the Omega MM900HDS juicer. You will learn John's recommendations on which juicer you should buy.

Have you read Anthony William books? He talks about the health benefits of fresh celery juice in killing viruses . He also recommends certain types of cleanses. His books give dietary options which includes certain types of foods while stating what foods to avoid. So, celery juice isn't his only thing.

the color can be darker because it squeezed better (as you said on your previous video "vsj vs quick clean") , and you didn't measure the temperature from the nc800 while the pulp was coming out; if you're concerned about temperature you should measure the juice temperature while it is coming out

    • @growingyourgreens
      @growingyourgreens 4 роки тому +10

While those are potential reasons, in this case, in my opinion it was oxidation, as I could taste it for sure. It was an afterthought to test the temperature after the pulp came out because it was abnormally warm, so I did not check the NC800 as it came out, which would be best, that being said, it was still COLDER even though it had been sitting a while, and it would have gotten WARMER by sitting for a few minutes.

    • @omuleanu

Suffice to say everyone is biased.
Medical Medium will have a certain energetic bias.... and although he primarily focuses upon celery.... it’s a gateway to a lot more nutrition for those that just get on the bandwagon.
John is clearly biased as well (ie... comparing temperatures five minutes apart and drawing firm conclusions.)
The beauty of this all is that both John and MM are directing people towards tried and tested means of nurturing the body and living healthy loving lives.
John thank you for all that you give and share with everyone.
In my opinion you cannot go wrong with following John’s advice. But in my opinion you cannot go wrong with following MM’s advice either. Both health ‘guru’s are beautifully introducing people to high end health and healing.
Much thanks John for all the inspiration and in depth information. And certainly much thanks to MM for his fixated approach to health, celery juicing and nutrition.
As many people get into health, as many people live better more joyful lives, the better.
Nutrition is one aspect of health.
Meditation, love, dance and creativity are other aspects of health and healing as well.
    Thank you 🙏

Hi John. I think you would do yourself a favor by taking your video about the medical medium juicer offline. I have bought 3 juicers from you and watched many of your thoughtful videos and bought my juicers based on them. This is the first time I felt biased reporting from you and didn’t understand why until you said that Omega wouldn’t allow you to sell the MM 900. I am guessing you probably lost a ton of juicer sales because you have stiff competition with the medical medium. You have plenty of good juicers to sell for many good reasons. Why not focus on that. I have the vertical omega and I bought it for my niece because it takes up less counter space. Also makes really good juice. The color is nice and green and doesn’t appear oxidized. I also drink celery juice everyday and have been very much helped by the medical medium protocols. Stay positive. You both have a place in healing people and to lessen the suffering of many of us who deal with illness.

MM was using the NC800 prior to getting the MM900 recently. He used the NC800 at least 5 years prior. I have been watching him for 5 years now and noticed his NC800 on his kitchen counter top. Recently I purchased the NC900 that went on sale at Omega end of November 2019 minus $100 discount which was below your cost. It arrived first part of December. I do like the NC900 as it is extremely easy to clean and my VSJ843! Before MM's NC800, he used a Tribest GreenStar1000 I think. I was going to return the NC900 and with this video, I will keep the NC900 and sell my GSE5000 which I seldom use. Thank You John

After my comments below, I did listen to your full video above, and appreciate the comparison you did with the MM juicer and the other Omega that you recommend. Based on the outcome, I decided to send back the MM juicer that I hadn't un-boxed yet. Quality juice is definitely more important to me than the slight quantity more with the MM juicer. So thank you, John, you do a great service. I still say you made sarcastic asides about Anthony, and drinking celery juice as a stand-alone drink, that were petty, and not necessary to make your point.

Hi Susan, You may also want to consider that John highly recommends that everyone should read Anthony William's Medical Medium book. John mentions it in at least 1 of his videos. John also drinks solo Celery Juice based on Anthony William's recommendation.
I understand your point of view (I am a loyal follower to both John & Anthony)...Just wanted to provide you with more facts. Also, I have learned that no matter what Health Guru I may agree with and follow--No really authentic and honest "leader" or "expert" is above reproach or objective criticism.
They are human and can make mistakes. It's their intent that counts. I trust both John K. & Anthony W. I look at what they "do" as well as what they "say".
When it comes to honest caring and trustworthy intent towards optimal health for all human beings, the John Kohler(s) and Anthony William(s) are hard to find! Good luck on your health journey.

Just some feedback regarding the Omega's...I have a6 yr old 8004.. The juicing screen broke along a seam a few yrs back and they replaced it sending me a new broken one...called again and got an intact one. Last week the juicing screen plastic grate broke. Called omega and did speak to a rep...they will replace it but said celery is what probably broke it! Really? Still waiting for the company to get back to me so I can pay the shipping for the replacement part ...a week later...sent another email and got a msg back from the rep saying he's busy but working on my issue....Omega has poor service...next juicer Tribest. LOVE all your channels and your vid's John...thanks for all you do!!

it is not a fair comparison when it comes to temperature of juice and pulps from 2 machine. John measured the first juice and pulp from the first machine after he finished the second machine. Of Course the first juice and pulp from the first machine were cooled down a little. The only fair comparison were the size of the pulp and the juice. Color of the celery juice, however, really depend on the type of celery. The darker green celery yield darker juice. Lighter celery yield lighter juice. With that being said, I really appreciate this video because I have a 6 year old NC800HDS and did not realized I might be able to make some frozen treat. I recently got a NAMA juicer and are very happy with it. I am glad I still keep the Omega juicer and I am going to try to make other stuff other than juice from Omega. Thank you, John!

Omega promised to send me those machines, and I will make videos with them, once I get them. That being said the MM1500 is basically the NC1000 with a special celery knob to make a higher yield on celery, but puts more backpressure on the pulp, causing more oxidation and heat based on my past testing of the MM900. For the best horizontal auger juicer, the Sana 727 is a better machine, IMO.

Hi John. I own both types of Omega juicers (the NC800 horizontal, and the VSJ843).
When it comes to celery, no prep is required for the NC800, and it does a great job with easy clean up. Why do you prefer a vertical juicer for celery if it requires more prep, longer clean up, and less celery juice?

    • @b.rhodes1342
      @b.rhodes1342 3 роки тому +2

Hi Tony. I have been pouring over juicer reviews and watching hour after hour of John's videos. I finally narrowed it down to the Omega NC 800, VSJ 843, and the Nama. The Nama is now out due to the short 2 year warranty on parts. Even the Sana equivalent in Europe has a 5-year warranty on parts.
Seeing that you own both Omegas, could you share your opinion on the two and if there's one that you prefer? I've seen John discuss the pros and cons of both. My biggest concern is reliability and limiting how much I have to reach out to Omega (or John) for parts/service. The three things I will be juicing most are 1.) Spinach and kale with Granny Smith apples. 2.) Ginger 3.) Celery. Many thanks in advance.

Glad to know the MM900 is made in China. I myself, avoid items from China if possible. Relax a bit friend, Your annoyance shows through. The write up about the MM900 sounds like if came from Omega promoting their new end cap. If Medical Medium finds the MM900 doesn't work for "celery"juice, he will make a change. He is more passionate about the healing benefits of celery over any monetary compensation and has chosen not to be sponsored, in the past, for any recommendations. I know you are as passionate about juicing and educating your followers as he is about getting out information to help others heal. Another good video John :-)
I have the NC900 (here it is called Sana 606) and I do like it for making green juices, I prefer to chop the celery though as it will self feed and usually run the pulp through again.
However... I do also have the Greenstar Pro 502 and there is zero doubt it is a better juicer for celery.

I purchased the Omega VSJ843 Juicer last year, based on John Kohler's recommendation that it was the best (at that time anyway) for celery juicing. About 6 months later the screen on the basket was so clogged with celery particles that over 3-4 cups of wet fiber came out each 32oz juicing that I had to squeeze by hand. This clogging occured because there is no way to clean the screen well, and the lower 1/2 of the screen that has the most contact with the juice, is completely blocked. I tried many different ways to clean it, and many different brushes and detergents. It is also impossible to scrape clean. A new basket costs alot, but not available on the Omega website at this time. I went for the Medical Medium recommened juicer. John Kohler can't sell it so he has a vested interest in not recommending it. By the way John, celery is not a vegetable but an herb. Medical Medium recommends a huge variety of fruits, vegetables and herbs that are specific for healing, because they are that--specific for healing. But no fruit or vegetable is "off limits", and a great variety in the diet is always recommended by him. Don't buy John Kohler's put down of drinking celery juice. Look for yourself...celeryjuice.com Also, John can't sell the MM recommended Omega Juicer of course he is going to diss it.

Hi Susan, I apologize for the challenge you had with the Omega VSJ843 juicer. I have not had any clogging of my screen on ANY of my juicers. It is really important to me to properly scrub the screen with soap and water dislodging all pulp before allowing to dry. This will ensure long-term successful usage of your juicer. I encourage everyone juice what they feel best for themselves, be it celery juice or any other leafy green, vegetable, herb, or fruit. Im not dissing it. Im showing how this juicer performs in a real-world experience and explaining how I believe it works, and what it does so people can have a better understanding of how juicers work.

@@discountjuicers Listen to your own video. You are putting down, with your sarcastic comments about him and celery juice, a man who has helped tens of thousands heal from very serious illnesses. He is a person to be respected, not challenged with sarcasam. As for cleaning the juicer, of course I did, every time with a stiff brush and a strong cleaner. Maybe where I live there is harder water....In any case, it is a clogged screen, and I would never buy or recommend a slow speed horizontal juicer. btw...celery juice is drunk by millions worldwide.

@@searchlessrawdiet I watched the whole video and don't see him putting down Anthony William or being sarcastic. I found the information very helpful indeed and decided after watching that my Omega VSJ843 was the best even though it takes a bit longer to juice. Today my juice came out a beautiful light bright green. As far as washing I agree the screen can get clogged so what I do is every week or so after the screen is completely dry I take a safety pin and poke through any dried holes. It's about a 15 minute process that could possibly be avoided if I scrubbed better. Juicing and which juicer is a personal thing and a person should use what suits them best.

    • @livlifluv
      @livlifluv 4 роки тому +1

@@searchlessrawdiet Hi again Susan. I own & regularly use my VSJ843. For about 3 years. I follow John's "How To Clean" videos. When time permits BEFORE I dismantle the VSJ, I repeat 2 or 3 times, filling with fresh water, running motor, and releasing pulp-filled water. Takes less than 2 or 3 mins.
Remarkable how much easier the brush scrubbing process is after a few self-cleaning prewashings! Especially, when solo juicing Celery.
Also, if I don't have time to properly scrub the basket. . .I fill the machine with water (overnight soak) and leave it 'til the next day for thorough cleaning (of the entire machine). Or, I clean all other parts and soak just the basket 'til the next day.
I never leave any juicer to sit drying while dirty with hardening pulp adhering to its basket. Not even for a second. After I dismantle, I immediately place the basket in water...it soaks while I quickly clean the other parts.
I've owned and cleaned several different juicers. The VSJ843 is the easiest to clean, 2nd only to the Omega Horizontal Single Auger. My juicers are like brand new when I resale them. Even after years of use.
It takes me 3 minutes or less forcefully brushing & checking under running water--to clear out all the basket's holes. Especially the bottom tiniest ones.
A "very close" visual check in excellent lighting will reveal any clogged holes. I've never had any build up. And, my cleaning of the basket is quick because there is never any dried buildup from previous use.
I am dogmatic about getting the most juice from expensive organic produce. Proper cleaning is directly correlated to how far my dollar goes. Hope this helps!

The video is way too long.
The checked the temp between them long after the first one way juiced... so obviously the temp will be higher on the one just finishing juiced. I know it was fast forwarded but Also it looked like you push through a lot bigger celery a lot faster then the first.
Also medical medium doesn't promote only celery juice!!

This was really helpful. I see the logic that the color can be affected by the color of the celery but John notes that he can TASTE a difference. That makes sense oxidation can make it darker.
