Extra: With node-wrangler addon active (or whatever the name is) press Ctrl+T to that Noise texture and scale the size on X or Z or Y to make the noise super stretch and this way you can generate a polished metal effect in one direction. So you can make 2 metals out of one setup. Cya'

ya, you could also plug in textures on top of it, especially grayscale maps.

Thankyou so much for the tutorial, also can I know what this product is exactly called?

i would also add object texture coordinates, so you don't get the distorted noise with different scales. (If you don't have proper UV's).

so can you take it a bit further and show how to bake that procedural texture so it can be used in a game engine

i'd not recommend it, for game assets you wanna go with a proper mat software, like PS or QM.

Just connect the Noise Texture to an Emission shader, and then bake an Emit type with Render Samples set to 1. You can use this technique to bake anything, it's clean and super fast (just a couple seconds).
