"But this is not a reptile that you need to be afraid of."
Eight seconds later.
"I would say that this is arguably the most dangerous snake species here in South Africa."
nonsense stufff on a video
BigBadSeed well he meant the most dangerous one because of the package
- potent venom
- small
- cant see it
- fast stricking
- cant warn you of its presence
You shouldnt be afraid of it
It isnt here to kill humans
It only does when you make it feel „uncomfortable“
Keep a safe distance
As a South African, trust me when I say the Black Mamba is the most dangerous snake of them all. The only reason why people get bitten more often by Puff Adders is because they lie very still and you can't see them. I always walk with great care in the veld and stay clear from low hanging branches. Because there's another potentially deadly snake you can't see - the Twig Snake. Not to mention Boomslang.
Lol
You don't need to be scared of any reptile tbh, there amazing interesting animals 🤘
I love how Coyote includes his camera crew, really makes them seem like a team and makes it more personal.
Bvbv
Well they are
Gonna be honest, the snake vibing in the hat was adorable
I remember getting the heart attack of a lifetime once when I was out hiking when I stopped for a drink of water and heard that puffing sound, turns out there was a puff adder about three times the size of the one in the video about half a metre away from me. Fair to say I didn't stay there for too long :)
Every video coyote shows these animals such respect. He sets a great example for anyone trying to learn.
Rear
Yeah, when he grabbed that tarantula hawk by its thorax and forced it to sting him for gags and jnsta fame while entrapping it in a glass vase. Was hella respect. One og to another
@@stgeorge5862 you are a hater
@@theweeknd2725 you r a flop
I am a venomous snake keeper i have them at my home in florida under a permit. He does show respect but when snakes get aggitated and u still annoy them they stress
I live in the subtropical state of Florida and while walking through my backyard, I found a small snake. It was all black with an orange ring around it's neck. My mom and I first thought it was a baby, but after some research, we found out it was an adult Ringneck Snake. It was so fun to discover different creatures, and the best part was, it was all in my backyard! We have a lake outside our yard and sometimes my friends and I like to hunt for little frogs and then release them right after. Sometimes, we even like to go near the beach in Biscayne and look for snails curled up under rocks. If we're lucky, we even find small crabs! Coyote and his crew are a huge inspiration to me. The Brave Wilderness crew teaches us that there are so much more in the world around us and that exploring all these different creatures is an opportunity to take a step into the magnificent world of the wilderness. Thank you, Coyote!
hard boi That’s so cool! My backyard has a forest behind it so I always see some lizards and toads, but I always wished I had a lake!
I am jealous of Floridians. You guys have all the good reptiles lmao.
I found a ring neck snake in the street in front of our house. I live in California. We took it in and it escaped, in my room, and we still don’t know what happened.
Ya i caught one awhile ago its the smallest snake i caught besides a earth snake.
Huey Freeman That is true. In my neighborhood there are 2 different lakes and there are alligators and crocodiles. In my backyard a basilisk came by once.
Puff Adder be like " I'll let you film me long as you let me chill on this rock"
6:38 “this is not a reptile you need to be afraid of “
“This is the second most dangerous snake species in South America”
South africa not america
Lol
It may be a dangerous snake, but not really something you need to fear.
I've dealt with puff adders yes they are venomous but they are hardly deadly still an extraordinary animal and absolutely beautiful creatures
South Africa
Learned something new~ Cytotoxic affects living cells and tissues, Neurotoxic attacks the nerves and Hemotoxic, of course, goes straight for the blood cells.
Can I just say that I love how much he cares for the animals? He makes sure they don't keep the snake in the hot sun and never tries to make them strike for the camera. He is always so aware of how stressed the animal is becoming and backs of right away. What a great guy!
Yeah I know, snakes and animals in general need more respect.
How could anyone not like this guy? He's so warm and friendly.
The snake? Absolutely
Him:gets bit by a snake**
I'm okay.
Me: gets bit by a ant*
Has a heart attack**
The ants were 2 nests of really painful bites but the bullet ant is the worst biter (bugs
So true!
I can’t believe that people think that snake bites are more painful than anything else. You can be bitten by a snake and have nothing happen. others, they can die from the same exact snake, same amount of venom, everything the same. It all depends on how much venom enters your blood stream, how your body reacts to it and most of all, what you do, if you panic, the venom will spread faster, if you stay calm, it wouldn’t spread as fast.
Harry Parker u mean executioner wasp?
Him gets bit by snake I’m Ok. also him gets stung by cow killer and nearly cries
Honestly dude snakes are so freakin cute i love them

"He's got a cute, fat little tail, and he really is quite shy. The puff adder is all 'PUFF!' and very little action" - Terri Irwin
True
cuaj vue he is cute
Hognose snakes are a type of puff adders but have such little venom they are safe. I want one so bad they’re so cute!
@Calan Graves I'm assuming you're talking hognose snake comment, hognoses don't have much venom
@@MortalLintRoller they call them that but there's no relation, and hognose snakes are not vipers like the Bitis arietans puff adder
Coyote: Goes outside when it's more than 100 degress.
Me: Has a fan on when it's only a little over room tempurature.
Stormy I’m comfortable in 100+ degrees because where I’m from that’s every day from the middle of spring to early fall
Stormy I have mine on and it’s 42F
XxDarkNightmarexX 999 nah
That area isn't known for that kind of heat. But it does happen. Hell, we've been having 100+ degrees where I live in SA (north east) right through December into January so far. Not atypical.
When you live in Arizona 👁👄👁
They do warn you. They hiss quite loudly when you come too close. I almost ran over one which was four or five times that size during a trail run a week ago, but it hissed and warned me in time. The older ones are more yellow
Dad :- How soon can i expect your college fees to start paying back ??

@Odaliz Orozco-Rueda your weird
Numerous notables in herpetology (including Steve Irwin) have said they'd rather be bitten by a snake like a mamba or a taipan than a puff adder. A large delivery from an adult specimen would cause incredible rot and organ damage. If you don't die outright, you're probably going to lose at least some part of your body to necrosis. I remember a herpetologist who got bitten by one who had part of his big toe grafted onto the remnants of his thumb when he took a poke by a single fang. Dude looked like his toe was on his hand.
it satisfies me when they put the snake or animal back where they found it. Its nice of them. :)
SPNisDAbest!! Yeah, it's more than nice coyote and the crew really really respect the animals like me
i agree because it is amazing to get an animal close up for the public as long as they put it right back into the wild where it belongs!
How so cool
SPNisDAbest!! Jj
I'd be killing most of the deadly animals lol
Coyote: Says how people picture South Africa
Everyone that lives in South Africa thinks of: CORRUPTION AND LOADSHEDDING
So true lmao
So true brother🤣👌
Legend has it the puff adder is still in his hat
That snake looks beautiful
Really Beautiful😘😍
Yea, my ex is pretty cute.
Beautiful close ups of the snake.
The work that the brave wilderness crew is so important. Keep on keeping on.
This snake looks *so cool*. I love the colours and how the body looks almost jean-textured. Such an awesome look for their eyes, too.
I think I'll just stick with handling Cheetos Puffs!

Coyote: Wow look at that it’s a puff adder!
Guy: Are you sure?
😂😂 bruh who are you talking to?
nmj530 😂🔥
nmj530 X D
The camera man has said that multiple times when coyote finds something, If I were to guess I'd say that Coyote very often misidentifies something at first out of sheer excitement and hope of finding something that he's looking for. We just obviously never see those shots.
nmj530
Lmao
To see where he started from to where he has come is really impressive great content
I love how this is the only channel that doesn't clickbait :>
"it has to be well over 100"
Coyote wearing jacket and scarf
FunkyPlayz lol
Hes covering skin so he doesent get burned
You can actually get a fever from UV rays so he should cover up.
FunkyPlayz it’s not a scarf it’s a bandana
Coyote you sound sick! get well soon!
I knew I was not the only one.
I think he was just really hot, south africa at this time is Incredibly hot, you don't want to be spending anymore then a few hours in that sun.
+iLoVeBaCoNz.Tv Voices don't change like that with the heat.
Untzzer hes hitting puberty
Another 90 days to change this it does if you are dehydrated, have you never been in a place over 100 Degrees it Frys you
"The most venomous animal in the world is ALWAYS whatever just attacked you." Steve Irwin, I think XD
i like when it shows them all get out of the car everyone is wearing regular casual clothes and coyote is in his mega explorer savanahh man outfit
I find it funny that they needed to get out of the vehicle walked a few feet placed down the camera, walked back to the vehicle and then got back into the vehicle. Only to get back out of the vehicle and walk over the camera.
I noticed that too.
Yeah once you learn film those shots always seem kinda funny and weird
gotta get those b-roll shots
2:00 "Okay so we're gonna put this camera down then get back in the car so it looks like we just got here"
You can't fool me Coyote :P
lol
I think something that’s important about the brave wilderness channel is the level of safety and respect that show to venomous animals and they don’t treat it like a toy and I love that cause that’s how you should act around dangerous animals not try to get a selfie
Coyote:when you think of south africa you think of-Me: LION KING!!!!
You're in Africa?? This season is gonna be good!
Wow the eyes, beautiful snake!
Coyote: 100⁰ out
Also coyote: wears pants and long sleeve shirt
It's so then he doesn't get bad cuts or anything.

I love snakes, so despite knowing that that tiny snek can kill me, I just look at it, and want to cuddle its adorableness!! Why do dangerous things have to be sooooo cute?!?!?
SumerSnow Taytay I know right!
Even the puffing and hissing is cute!
SumerSnow Taytay so true lol
I love how he refers to the creatures he encounters as animals
The amount of cuteness added when he put it in the hat killed me
South African here. I'm guessing you were visiting during February-March, in which case the summer may technically be pretty much over, but it will still reach very high temperatures. You were very brave to take on that heat. A beautiful day in South Africa is not a day you really want to go hiking in the mountains :D
Snake: if he doesnt show up in 15 mins im legally allowed to leave
Jack Green hello meme lord
I like how he takes precautions than usual for this snake!
The fact that he knows every animal is so cool !
“Virtually untouched by man for almost a century” I hope it stays like that because every time I go to Sacramento and come home to Truckee I’m like “damn it’s nice to have trees!”

Lightning486 And give away all his control and money to some discovery channel? He would be CRAZY to do that.
He's already turned that that offer
No need to take it that seriously.
Just implying he makes good content
Just a joke
Lightning486 you are sooo right
And get 1 episode a week, no thanks hate to wait.
When I was growing up, my father taught me that when walking through any area in which venomous snakes could be present, one shouldn't put his hands where he can't see what is on the other side, or lift rocks by hand where a snake could be underneath. I believe this is good advice so I follow it.
I have learned so much from this channel, it’s amazing 😉.
I'm happy that 1 of my favorite youtubers is in my country

That’s luck there. Straight up luck 👍👍👍
cobyveron I got tagged by a rattlesnake. That sucked.
Jay Whiteside not i was walking on this woody marshland and stepped on it,,,
That is a beautiful animal. I thought the Gaboon Viper was pretty, but the eyes on that animal are very unique.
My dad grew up in East Africa. As a kid, he used to turn over rocks and kill puff adders for fun. He had no clue at the time they were so deadly until he started attending school at 11 yo or so.
sad thing to kill snakes (animals) just for fun.
Coyote are you sick? You should rest up. Great video by the way guys! Really enjoyed this insight to the puff adder!!❤️

He can, to a certain degree, talk to animals.
I live in South-Africa and I’m a big fan of yours👏🏼
I love your videos thank you for teaching me about animals you are a good person
Someone please give this guy his own TV show 📺
They turned down offers for tv shows, they like youtube
And give away all his control and money to some discovery channel? He would be CRAZY to do that.
I'm South African and have been watching you for a very long time, never expected you to come, hope to meet or even spend a day with you, wouldn't mind being your tour guide 😉

Please go to Yosemite National Park for your next location! Like if you agree!
Yesssss!
Cayote: the puff addar is responsible for the most bites in South Africa
Black mamba: Am i a joke to you
Lol
Black mamba is a shy snake. They even meet people less than puff adder and cobra. Thats why puff adder is WAY more responsible for snake bites based on cases.
"untouched by man for over a century"
Coyote: hold my rocks
Love you guys, you're what helped me kick-start my career with animals! Currently, I'm in a pit bull rescue shelter, but in the future, I hope to be a true wildlife expert >:)
Jeremy James at least they’re doing something for animals ;)
You texted four years ago hope you continue with it
10 Million Subscribers! Congrats!
I love how he said they are pretty much the first people to have been there
I went camping there like 3 years ago🤣
So adorable and cheeky
The black mamba is almost certainly the most venomous South African snake. Puff adder bites are infinitely nastier, however. Puff adders hiss very loudly when scared, but of course if you step on one it will have no option but to strike. That is a beautiful puff adder - good video. Thanks.
Always waiting for snake 🐍 related video and congrats for 10 million subscriber 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 keep it up
Love from South-Africa 👋
"It's gone virtually untouched by man." Oh look, a road that leads into that untouched land.... woohoo! Haha, just giving you a hard time, Coyote! Love your videos. Keep it up, man!
I think a simple dirt road falls under the category of "virtually untouched"
He said for over a century so i century ago it was touched
@Odaliz Orozco-Rueda that was kinda random...
