I’m from the middle east and this year we traveled a whole day with the school to visit Iceland in Feb. It was amazing from the waterfalls to the geysers and THE BLACK SAND also the city was beautiful. But both days we went to go see the northern lights we didn’t see them which looking back at it now it’s ok we had the time of our lives regardless

This video was AMAZING!!! Loved 14:14/17:24/20:52 took my breath away! I've been to Iceland twice and spent about a month in the country (in a van one trip and not for the other) and your drone footage allowed me to see the country in a way I never have before! Love it!

I'm contemplating my trip end of October this year taking my camper on the ferry in Hirtshals (Denmark) over the North Atlantic to Seyðisfjörður and ten days Ring Road before travelling the same route return.

Beautiful footage and thank you for showing the rough patches and things you’ve learned (ie understanding and utilizing each others strengths) which is far more valuable than good-times-all-the-time in my book. That van that you guys rented from Camp Easy is a 2023 Volkswagen Crafter with the medium wheelbase & the high roof. Camp Easy calls this one the Easy Viking 4X4. It's too bad that the Crafter isn't sold back over in the United States.
I know! We really liked this van a lot. It really is too bad they don’t sell them in the USA!

Did you get a chance to see the northern lights? I have only been to Iceland in the summer when they days go on forever. I really liked this video. How did you find the rental experience (aside from the small battery)? Was there solar so summers would be better? How did the van handle in the icy conditions? Was it all wheel or 4 wheel drive? You could probably make a whole video reviewing the van rental experience in Iceland.
Yes we did! We put a clip of them in the last video we posted before this!
The rental was overall good although expensive like most other things in Iceland. The van didn’t have solar so it wouldn’t have been much different in summer although you wouldn’t be running the heater all night. It handled well in snow with the 4x4 which we would recommend for winter travel!

Yes we were! Honestly they were very prepared for it and it really wasn’t that big of a deal. Because Iceland is basically a bunch of active volcanoes it’s quite common and was not an explosive eruption.
So what about not sleeping in campsites with the van?? In 7:48 you say you spent the night in a place you didn't know if you were allowed to. I've been in Iceland in 2016 and it was permitted to park and sleep everywhere, but now it seems that is forbiden... I just wanna know how much really forbiden it is.... Any problems?? I will appreciate some guidance, I am coming the next week! Thanks!
We weren’t stopped at any places however. I would not recommend risking it. The fine is $3000-5000 USD. Lots of campsites all around the island though!
