An aftermarket exhaust on a tw200 makes .0001% more power and a ton more noise. Leave it stock, save some money, no rejetting and ride ride ride with 100% reliability.
Use some thread lube like copper paste on the stainless bolts. I know the old screws like to strip but that's because they're JIS instead of Phillips I believe. Went through this on an '89 I had, got the stainless kit for it. Now I have an '07. The later bikes use hex head bolts so it's not an issue, really. Consider going with any of these three options to save the case threads some stress.
nice vid man. im trying to decide what i want for a bike.. worried this will be underpowered, but also like the idea of a go anywhere slow tractor lol.
Ok....I just bought a 17 TDub, Its in basement till springtime. Love the way it sounds with the DG pipe. May have to get one for it!!. Come on springtime!!, My fat 56 yr old ass wants to go Tdubbing!!
Great info on the jets and settings you used' Stage 2 /120 main /48 pilot ' $39 eBay DG pipe' $169.99 ebay' very nice. Be sure to get correct jet kit for carb. 87-2000 (Tiki?) is different than 2001 and up (Mikuni). Very helpful video.
Nice. I love riding mine. I ride 50/50... woods/trails n street. I went up on the pilot jet and it starts every time. Everything is stock. I am considering the DG but I'm in love my mileage, especially when has is expensive. I run non-ethano.l
Derek, I saw that you sold this bike? Wondering why? I'm "inheriting" my husband's 2000 dub this week as we're buying a second 2005 dub. He'll get the newer one ;) I'd like to add that USB charger. Wondering if you recall the brand/make? Did you have to do anything to the front cowl to make it fit? And if you don't mind answering one last question: how did you mount it to that area? Thanks so much... so sad you don't still have the bike... it's so beautiful.
I sold it due to the fact that I ultimately like to go FAST. The T-dub was amazing and I wish I could keep all machines i've ever owned but unfortunately I sell one to buy another most of the time. USB charger was on amazon, Not sure of the brand but look at reviews and find the best one. It was like $20 max. very easy to install.. I just rested it in the front cowl and it was thick enough it never moved! I believe I used a little sticky tape on both sides though to ensure it wasn't going to fall off when it got bumpy. Enjoy your new bike they are awesome. I'm sure i'll snag another one day
@@DerekChavez11 Aah, thanks for the reply! Also, thank you for the info on the power port. I'll look that up and hopefully will find one to sandwich between the cowl... ingenious! I have to chuckle that your reason for selling is the reason I can ride it: it won't kill me ;) I'm still quite new to riding but am in love. All the best on your adventures...
Harried Potter found the link... blue fire is the name!! Fits amazing wedged in there & is super convenient. Charger my phone on many rides. Plus you can light cigarettes “and stuff” lol www.amazon.com/BlueFire-Waterproof-Motorcycle-Handlebar-Cigarette/dp/B075D8C565/ref=mp_s_a_1_30?keywords=motorcycle+usb+charger&qid=1557799600&s=gateway&sprefix=motorcycle+usb&sr=8-30
Stretchy bungees should be a thing of the past. Non-stretch flat straps are available in various lengths wherever kayaks are sold. Forget the stretch, secure your load.

Still need the LED headlight.
What microphone are you using, the sound quality is pretty good actually
Have you tried Rok straps yet? They’re easy to adjust and have less chance of snapping and hitting you in the eye

For the love of shit start the bike
Sounds good. But you should have weighed it against the car muffler you took off. That is how you sell it to the wife. It makes the bike lighter honey
Haha! It was a huge difference in weight I know that. Sold it about 1 year ago
not much difference in weight tdubkid weighed both on his video
