I used to play the Evans, until I realized that it was much too easy for Black to avoid. I took Dzindi's advice and switched to the Scotch Gambit (i.e. 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 exd4 4.Bc4), which is really just an improved Evans Gambit. Now I get "Evans lines" with more consistency. Makes the opening prep feel worth it.
I'm sorry to say that his lecture did not live up to my expectations. He's basically reciting lines without explaining the strategies behind those lines. You will not learn much from this video unless you're willing to memorize unclear lines and variations. Not saying it wouldn't work, but be ready to get crushed with the slightest deviation, and it's just not the way of teaching/playing chess IMO. Thanks iChess for sharing these sample videos. Your other ones are brilliant!

I love watching Ronen's commentaries. His explanations make complicated lines feel so simple.
Ronen is a top GM lecturer. And to combine with one of my favorite gambits!? Great stuff.

I like this GM. His energy is refreshing. >:)
