Lol, I will always speak highly of you. @@luisfrigo well, in this sense it means that with this velocity you overcome gravity pull to be able to move perpendicular to it. At least that's how I understand it

I googled the term and applies more to vertical motion, but what I found interesting was: "..escape the land without ever falling back." Which brings me to this question, in what event the velocity of light = the escape velocity?
