Jessica Rothe is so charismatic, she absolutely carries these movies. I can't believe she's not a bigger star.
Thank the casting agent
ABSOLUTLY TRUE
These😂movies not that good
i met her, she coo
Even her brief appearance in La La Land is delightful.
The thought of someone entering every room they go in by yelling "THATS IT. IVE HAD IT" is incredible
You should've given sins off for the acting in the scene where she gets to talk to her mom. That was, IMO, the best scene of the movie. Very well acted, heartfelt and believable.
The movie does pick and choose what side effects Tree has when she wakes up. She also woke up with her throat burning after she died from drinking the drain cleaner.
many times its the memory that hurts the most, not the physical injury.
@ravinraven6913 explain the poofy hair then.
When she jumps out of the plane, I expected you guys to sin her for flipping off the camera and not Danielle.
She was flipping off the ppl taking the picture and wanted them to see her face... in the lore of the movie... she wanted us(the audience) to see how she was disrespectful to the two behind her in their pic as she gave them the bird during her suicide for the day
I honestly didn’t know a sequel was even a thing until stumbling across this video.
@@ravinraven6913 so me not knowing if something releases or not, implies that I’m a child? Lol. Be blessed, I’m not going to entertain your ignorance. Continue showing your “adulthood” 😂
I stumbled upon it a couple weeks ago. Had no idea it existed either.
@@MoofydakiddBut your name is "Moofyda *kidd* " so I think they're onto something, them being a 6913 year old of course,
“a sequel”? Do you mean the sequel to the 1st Happy Death Day film or sequels as a concept in general?
I think the "Explaining reality by using a pen to punch a hole in some paper" thing started with the book A Wrinkle In Time, which is from the early '60s. If that wasn't where it originated, then we can almost certainly blame Richard Feynman for it.
I love this movie, but the first movie's plot being based on a science experiment kinda takes the fun out of the first movie.
I thought about that too, but Tree is still the same Tree that went through the same development and how the timeloop happened doesn't change that.
That's true. But I think it's nice that we get a logical explanation for the first movie. It's like, "do you want to know how the sausage is made or not?"
4:34 Safety in numbers relies on the attacker holding back because of witnesses/other people coming to one’s aid. Hiding in plain sight relies on the attacker not expecting the target to be somewhere and/or overlooking them. These are, in fact, two different things. *DING*
I love this series and Freaky, but damn, let's give this actress more to work with than campy horror movies.
Yeah unfortunately there's never going to be a third movie since this movie bombed big time
It just wasn't as fun really...@@Late30sDude
those are not the same actress
It’s not good at all
Should have kept it at just one that’s why there was never a sequel to Groundhog Day it was fine as just one movie 💯
Jessica Rothe is such an underrated actress! She deserves to get bigger roles!
I wished that they'd made Ryan the protagonist of this film, instead of Tree again, since exploring the concept of two people existing in the same dimension, with one trying to kill the other, would have made for a compelling plot in its own right, instead of simply retelling the first one.
Ryan spouts his lines like he's reciting a nursery poem. Absolutely zero range as a character
Tree/Jessica Rothe almost single-handedly carried these films. I’m not convinced that Ryan nor his actor can do the same. Also what you’re describing is basically the plot of the movie Triangle.
@@windowsVD the 2009 movie triangle? Because thats not even close to the plot... 😂
@@WhyWouldICareAtAll It is, a time loop slasher where the reveal is that the killer is another version of the protagonist themself. The core fundamentals are basically as he described.
I'll take nose picking over vomiting in a movie any day.
As an emetophobe, I felt this.
Definitely enjoyed this more than the first one, but that whole "other dimension Ryan" bit should have been WAY more integral to the story
More integral? He had nothing to do with the story. Absolutely no explanation of him. He just vanishes and that's it. I kept waiting and waiting to find out why killing his other version of himself needed to be done. But nope. We'll never know.
@@jxchamb yeah, that's what I'm saying. The movie acted like he was going to be an integral part of the story, but he wasn't
Technically he does explain it. They can't exist in the same timeline together, so one has to die. @@jxchamb Timey-whimey stuff - I think it flows into that idea of it ripping reality apart or whatever since there is always a line like that in any movie with time travel or AUs where the OG and the AU can't share space.
I work in a hospital, and the power getting cut this easily and the dismissive "one of the floors under construction" are so irritating to me.
I totally get why Carter was searching for his mouth guard in the AM. Whenever I use mine, I somehow manage to launch that fucker across the room so in the AM, I always end up having to go looking for it 😆
Right? How am I taking it out in my sleep and not remembering? I find it neatly on the nightstand sometimes and other times on the bed or floor.
@@lkf8799I'm so close to recording myself as I sleep to see wtf I do to make it going from my mouth to over 15 feet away
L0L i was just thinking about how that exact same thing happens to my mouth guard like 30 minutes ago
That Midsommar at the end was hilarious 😂
I hope that Jeremy will cover "Freaky." It was a fun movie, and it was entertaining seeing Vince Vaughan act like a stereotypical teenage girl.
And hard R for a change.
Yes that would be hilarious
I just finished Totally Killer, so I hope he does that, too!
I actually just started working in a hospital last year, and yes, all this is possible! I never thaught that killers could roam free at night, but yeah it is possible!
Then you work as a shit hospital.
I want to go to the paralel universe where Jessica Rothe and Judy Greer are as famous as they deserve to be.
Your college girlfriend put you through a lot bro 😂😂
Does anyone else watch these even if they haven't seen the movie? Just me?
"Next week: classic high school comedy" Please be Eurotrip, please be Eurotrip.
Where is Happy Death Day 3? C'mon people! We're waiting!
There is never going to be a third movie
@@Late30sDude ... That's a shame. It could have been one of the all time horror/comedy trilogies! The end of 2 even set up a sequel. But you're right. I guess 2 didn't do so well at the box office ☹️
@@Late30sDudeit was actually pitched in february with a tentative title Happy Death Day to Us
@@chrisfales7947 no it wasn't.
I’m absolutely dying at the “holding a fucking churro” segment 😂😂😂 2:10
Oh damn, thought you'd never do the sequel
5 years old!
It's just as funny and suspenseful as the first movie. There’s s actually more emphasis on the romance and the sci-fi angle this time around. It also still has plenty of plot twists to go with too which will please fans. Plus director Christopher Landon has given a scientific explanation as to why the loop occurred in the first place.
This movie is so much funnier than its predecessor throwing in so many more crazy kills for Tree to fix the scenario. They even increased the dramatic heft here as well making us question what we have and still wish we could have involving the day being reset.
As mentioned before the romance element here is much more focused with Tree and Carter still having a somewhat connection to one another even if every day isnt the same for both of them. I gotta say too I was so shocked what the writers did to make the story go in more ways than one. Yes, it's overstuffed but still a crazy ride to be had. If we had the opportunity to have back what we lost in another life would we take it? Is it still our life even if we don't remember all of it? Is one life worth more than the other? If forced to choose what's worth losing more? The past is always pulling us back so how can we expect to have a better future? As scientists its up to them to solve the problem even if they created it in the first place. Taking a chance and a leap of faith is all it takes to be happy. Even if 'Happy Death Day 2U' doesn't surpass the last outing it's a welcome addition subverting horror conventions as well as the sci-fi genre. Lots more laughs to be had, too. That ending is pretty funny and satisfactory despite the script being overcrowded. I'm anxious if they'll do a part 3.
He's looking for his mouth guard in the morning because he just dropped it.
13:46 i think i know this one. "Oxygen is also a flammable gas".
I can't believe I only now realise the '2 U' from the title is also a reference to the multiverse
Remember people, keep breathing.
One millinewton is 0.001 newtons. 1 newton is like holding a small ziploc bag full of 100ml of water. So 0.007 millinewtons would be like holding 0.7 ml, or about .14 teaspoons, of water in your hand. That would not cause any noticeable energy spike anyway, because as Jeremy pointed out, newtons are used to measure force, not energy.
03:19 & 17:48

STEAL STUDENT'S PROPERTY
Loved the first movie. Wish they didn’t go into the whole parallel universe thing but still a fun sequel.
When will you sin the super Mario movie?
Whenever we feel like it! - Jeremy, probably
I was so disappointed that it wasn't about Tree helping Ryan go through something she kind of understands, they literally just made the first movie again with minor differences it was just a major let down
me too
21:35 That's not how MRI's work... DING!
Thank you for finally doing this video been waiting years for this thought u would never do it 😊
Oh those pesky time loops and multiverses.
Looks like someone is enjoying his enthusiastic walks.
I appreciate the sequel more since it gets more into the absurdity of the concept and thus, we get a much more amusing story that doesn't have to use less than interesting drama alongside what it really wants: to explore the dumb fun concepts of this idea.
CinemaSins needs to do EWW videos on Freaky (2020) and Life (2017).
Whoa, this film came out four years ago?! God, we're all getting old!
every day.....when you're sentence makes 4 years sound more like 40, you know a child has said it
been waiting for this for years! thanks.
A Danielle-centred sequel to this movie is something that I desperately need…
21:26 to be fair, the guy is clearly insane, and even I would be nervous about admitting I wanted a divorce with someone who is willing to kill someone you are cheating with
This is much more enjoyable when you don't realize when he says Tree he is saying the name of a character.
Had this on when I was doing something else and got very confused when he said tree kicked someone out a window.
You made this not to long after I commented on Happy Death Day 1 about the sequel. Thanks!!!
im going to justify the "you better come take a look at this" cliche in one of my movies some day
😂 "my movies"...
I really want a 3rd movie.
Never going to happen
maybe if they put the first two together it might be decent. But at this rate, a 3rd movie would have to involve people not seen in the first two. And that would kinda suck
They're making it. Google is great for these things.
@@SympatheticNightmare all I could find is they were making it in 2019, then nothing after. Don't think we getting one. Plus all of the main cast aged out, would have to be set years after
LOL HER HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!
i been waiting for this one 👏 👏
I honestly thought he’d never do it
I posted a few weeks ago on the first one to make one for the sequel, he did. Maybe cinema sins didn't know this movie existed.
@@chrism3784 🤷♂️ maybe. I mean i’m sure he has like a list or something for all the movies he does. I’d imagine he has a list and then maybe occasionally he finds a movie at random and is like “oh yeah i remember that movie let’s screw the list and do this one real quick then back to the list”
I'm not sure if Happy Death Day needed a sequel. It was perfect just as a standalone. I never made it through this movie because I didn't think the repeated graphic suicides was very amusing. But if anyone liked this sequel I won't deny them doing so.
settle down
I didn't think either should have been made. Both kinda are half arsed so not really worth watching if you have standards
Hollywood is greedy of course there was gona be a sequel
@@ravinraven6913 Agreed.

"Were you silent or SILENCED?"
The actress could play Super girl or Black Canary.
So shes a blonde. Because the two characters you've described have two VERY different styles and body types.
You've just reworded his CW joke here, and not effectively.
@@user-ib7ug4qo3v ok let's change it to, this movie is like a horror version of Big Bang theory and she's Penny
@@user-ib7ug4qo3v Although I tend to agree that fancasts are usually just boring typecasts, you know actors can just get in shape for a role, right? Plus she actually looks like how Supergirl is drawn in the comics, and even shares a mild resemblance to Melissa Benoist.
LOL THE THUMBNAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The 1st movie was so much funnier than the 2nd one, but will I be watching them again for Halloween? Yes 👻
I am obsessed with your channel!
I've been waiting for a movie I know. Thank you. 2:00 it's supposed to be the 19th because the first movie was 18th

13:48 The math dialogue is pure gibberish, but it looks like some legit hamiltonian operators, gamma functions, the definition of pi, and some butchered version of Einstein's field equations are on the whiteboard. Of course, they have no unified meaning, but they do look kinda cool, I guess.
The grammar still lets it down, tho’, I feel.
@@razzle1964 Tru, dat.
The more and more they put good will hunting outtakes the more I crave the sins on it
Wow, I am so glad I didn't waste my time watching this movie. Thank you yet again, cinemasins for saving me from 2hrs of nonsense 😂.
Actually, punching a hole in a piece of paper to explain alternate realities was the Universal (Pictures) reason why younger women have no recollection of the Back to the Future movies and also why no one, except that creepy creep creeping on all fours, remembered Knocked Up.
sin for having sin in your name sin for getting sin
"I can't believe that this walk in the parallel dimension happens the exact same way in the parallel universe!"
*literally moments later*
"Hey this guy isn't the one from the original why isn't it must be shapeshifters!"
LOL...my grocery store does have pet products and cleaning supplies in the same isle.
FINALLY you decided to do this
The fact that she chose to go back to a universe where her mother was dead and saying that it's for the guy WHILE SHE'S KISSING HIM makes no sense. You already have the guy. Keep your mom. You can have both of them. I know the message of the movie is to let go, but still, who in their right mind wouldn't stay where their loving mother's still alive?
I think they tried to make it a point that this isn't her life, she didn't really 'live' it and thus she'd never truly fit into this world. She notices differences and realizes that the Tree of this world lived a completely different life from her. That the people around her in this world, including her mother, weren't the people she used to love.
Not sure they really succeeded in this... but it felt like her main driving point to go back.
@@Riomy13 yeah I get that they wanted to imply that, but it wasn't very fleshed out, and the mom had only been dead for a couple of years, so her life wouldn't be THAT different. Maybe it bothered me because I'm close with my mom so I'd never do that 😂
This review is like the movie it reviewed, mind numbing, hilarious entertainment!!! I love it. Both were great!
I was looking for Phantasm and Unfriended: Dark Web here. Didn't see it. Just recently watched those.
i literally waited 4 years for this 😭😭
It does seem like a movie that’s produced by the CW.

I just watched this three days ago. Spooky.
Love this channel
Please, do Nimona.
I genuinely liked this movie a lot, better than the original! Really clever about using the time loop trope, which made Freaky so much more disappointing, how by-the-numbers that turned out to be.
