Dude, you skipped over the fact that she had crashed into the electrical grid to save Carter, not just because she changed her mind about staying.
Yeah she realized her mom was not her own BUT also to save Carter and Lori from death. That's a good point on her character and her empathy towards her friends.
Lori WAS her original killer but in this dimension she's just a normal girl with a normal life. And she's ok with Tree in this dimension to.
Man, Tree finally got her mom back only to realize she doesn't belong in that reality because the memories shared between her mother and that Tree from that reality aren't her own. Poor Tree. It's like having something you always wanted, only to realize it can never truly be yours.

I expected it to be very cheap but it was surprisingly okay. I also expected _Hell Fest_ to be really cheap but it was also okay. If I don't regret wasting my time having watched them, then it's a success (that's how low the bar is now).

What if Ryan 2 is a future version of Ryan 1. Let me explain...
What if DARPA somehow misuses SISSY and creates a dystopia. SISSY goes off, sending Ryan 2 (future Ryan 1) back in time to the events of happy death day 2U. Once Ryan realizes that he has a chance to correct what happened in the future, he decides to kill Ryan.
This would also make the whole series a continuous time loop, which is a key part of the movies
Payton P. But Ryan 2 kill Ryan 1 then both will die. And I think you are right . Ryan 2 was from future.
DARPA creates the Infinity Stones.

The reason I like Happy Death Day is because it's entertaining and fun. I think people tend to forget why we go to the movies. Everyone want's to analyze and pick apart movies and why they don't make sense, but in reality.... none of it does, lol. I like this guy on FoundFlix because he understands this and it's his job to pick them apart, yet he can still enjoy them. Great channel!! Always great reviews!! Keep it up!!

In reference to the multiverse; I believe that when the machine fired with everyone in the room, they were all transported into their own different loop. The movie just focuses on her loop. Somewhere in another universe the dean of the University and the others are waking up to deal with their own loop experience

Happy Death Day was one of my favorite movies of 2017 and even though I was really wanting some sort of thriller for 2U, I was happy with the sequel. I actually ended up crying at two parts in the movie? Which is strange for me. And I liked the sci-fi approach. While I didn't enjoy it was much as the original, I still liked the sequel a lot.

The first movie was definitely thrilling but this 2nd one actually made me cry due to the story of Tree with her mom. 😂 I love the turn in genres, though.

@@cctomcat321 the 2nd one is more of a scifi and comedy with a few jumpscares but it has a few the same things as the first it's more of a movie that you watch for fun like you see with your friends but there are some pretty good moments I would say that if you want more horror then the 1st is better but if you want to have a fun movie experience then the 2nd one it really depends on what you like that dictates which is better

What happened to Tree 2 the one who our girl replaced? Did they swap universes? and did she come back when our Tree went back to her correct time line? I would love it if the babyface killer in part 3 is actually 3 killers with the third being the alternate Tree whom is pissed at our Tree for destroying her perfect life.

Poisoning over jealousy is not uncommon lol. They just made the method of delivery sillier and kind of fitting for the movie. For this one, I loved Tree's line to Carter where she stated "That is the last time I die for you." LOL. Good movie; much looser structure than the previous but certainly packs a more emotional punch and a surprising amount of character development for Tree.

The first movie was awesome, an unexpected gem. I feel like the sequel really missed an opportunity by not just swapping both Tree's and showing parts of both of their stories. In one reality, Tree never lost her mother; it could have been really emotional to see her suddenly thrust into a reality where her mother died years ago, and how that would hit her and whether or not she would believe that "world" was real or if it's all in her head.
imagine someone living their entire lives without realising they are in a loop and then naturally dying of old age and coming back to being 16 or 19 or what ever age not a baby though cos that would be a true time loop without realisation

11:36 - This seems to be the basis for Tree being targeted for the time loop in the first movie. DARPA picked them up the first time, then they set the loop trigger for her to relive her day over and over until she survives, in the hope that whoever the killer ended up being would be caught, giving her a new chance at life.

I know this is almost a year late but DARPA is an actual thing in our world, they're a huge military R&D group and have made a lot of our high tech stuff like Thermal/Night Vision hybrid sights and such. Look them up there's a lot of interesting stuff about them especially the many conspiracies lol
