Seems like two possible approaches to picking your legend: 1.) Pick the legend that would take the most development points or challenge tokens to recreate on your own, leaving as many as possible to pump into developing your other six players. 2.) Pick the guy that is most usable on the side of the ball he didn't play in real life. Don't take Ken Stabler, he can't play defense and would be relatively cheap to recreate. Don't take Larry Csonka, he can't play defense, isn't the best RB anyway, and isn't super expensive to recreate. Lawrence Taylor similarly has no place to go on offense. I think these are pretty clearly the worst three. Generally speaking, DL are at least as good as OL at every relevant stat except for blocking, so you could pick the DL with the best blocking and give him the +3 blocking pads. The problem with this strategy is that it doesn't take a ton of development points or challenge tokens to create a good lineman. If you're going to take a lineman, take the Fridge over Howie Long, who is worse at offense. There are only three specifically defensive stats. D-Moves aren't very relevant in the secondary and coverage isn't all that relevant for a user. So you could pick a fast offensive player and user him in the secondary, then either accept his low tackling or use impact gear. Or you could use impact gear to improve coverage enough to user somebody else. But it might be a better use of challenge tokens and development points to use the impact gear on maxing out somebody else's tackling or coverage. Either way, Barry Sanders is the better defensive player than Walter Payton and maybe better on offense if you give him the run power impact gear. Then again, Lester Hayes and Ronnie Lott have most of what you'd want out of a WR if you give them the +3 catching gloves. Then you can save the development points on coverage for your user. I think I like Lester Hayes more here. Verdict: Take Barry Sanders, Lester Hayes, or William Perry. Maybe Lester Hayes because he's more expensive than William Perry to recreate and easier to play without than an RB.
First! Man, I hate to see these kinds of series end. Thanks for the laughs Cody, hope to see more of these kinds of series in the future. Keep up the good work.
Better respect the god that is Payton , he'll eat your heart out lol ..... I still remember he personal ran thru my team for a one drive score tossed the whole team with 2 stiff arms , a styling spin , and a leap over my Qb😂😂😂😂 , why was there no replay recording back then😣😣😣

he's complaining that he can't intercept passes. but his players are short and have no agility. that's how the game works.
