@@DmitrysGarage I can’t believe how amazing my car looks with this wax. I’m really impressed and happy. I was wondering can I use Collinite 845 on top of it?
@@junboo8730 That's awesome, I'm glad you like it! I've never tried putting 845 over it, you'd have to try it out. Not sure how it would affect looks/durability. Sometimes different products don't play well together due to a variety of solvent/carrier fluids.
I applied Adams Advanced Coating to my wife's car last fall. It has made it through a tough winter here in the Hartland. So far so good. Thank you for your reviews...
Merry Christmas! Reporting in on Adams Advanced Graphene/Ceramic Coating update. Here in the Hartland (Midwest) we're entering winter. Just two days ago, temperature was -9 degrees fahrenheit. I am happy to report, the coating is still holding up, no failures. Let me tell you how I maintain this coating. I do a rinseless wash about every week or so, then about once a month or so, I do a traditional pH neutral soap wash, then use the Adams Graphene detailer. In the spring, during another soap wash, I then use Adams Irn Remover, wash again to remove the iron remover. Then I use the Adams Advanced Graphene/Ceramic Spray Coating. I repeat this process again in the fall, performing this twice a year. During the winter, follow up with weekly rinseless washing, Sometime, I will use Power Clean on the lower parts of the car, as well as tires and wheels, diluted 10:1. It is amazing how a coating cab make a car look clean when it isn't.
Outstanding work, I really enjoy your channel. Many of us are looking for looks more than durability and I appreciate how you discuss that often overlooked area. Most confuse looks with “gloss” but as you know looks is much more than just gloss. Thank you!
Thank you! I really appreciate your viewership. I try to provide as much detail as I can. Im still learning too, so as I learn more I can hopefully share the knowledge. I used to think the same about gloss. Ive been myth busting some of my own thoughts haha.
Hello Dmitry, Completely awesome reviews! It takes out alot of the guess work on which products to try. I'd been a wax fanatic all my life. Decades ago, Malm wax was my to go wax then converter to Zaino then to Wolfgang 3.0. Just order Wolfgang SiO2. This one might be my new to go sealant.
The best wax is very complicated to me. I’ve tried every wax made and each time my car looked fantastic. The best wax I’ve found is the one that made it to your car.
Just purchased a 2023 Audi S5, car went into service in August 2023. I got a good deal on it, the negative is black. What would you do to make/keep a black car looking great? I am confused if I should wax, or seal, or ceramic coat, or do it all, but in what order. I will use your product recommendations in the affiliate links. Really enjoyed this recap of your top performers for the year. Would like to see tests on EOD Titan Si02 Hybrid Detailer and Griot’s Ceramic Speed Shine.
I wish the Wolfgangs was easier to get here in the UK. I bought some of the Deep Gloss years ago, but it split and had to throw it away. PS, wheels look SICK!!
Thanks, I like the wheels too :). Its too bad Autogeek isnt making their stuff (Wolfgang is their brand) more available in the UK market. They do make some good stuff.
@dmitrysgarage - I just discovered your channel. I guess buying a new car does that :). The Adams Graphene Ceramic liquid lasted for 840 washes but what was the durability of the spray version? (8:02)
I noticed you tried the TW ceramic spray and wasn't too impressed. You absolutely have to try the black on a swirled up black panel. I have never seen anything like it, magic in a bottle. Had the opportunity to put it on a brand new black car and a heavily swirled black car. I was super amazed what it did to the swirled car and after washing the brandnew car 2 weeks later, the water was behaving like a true ceramic and the gloss was better than when I came out the dealership. Bot customers were happy so I went out and got myself a bottle for my wife's car. I think this may be the go to product for black cars, it takes a learning curve removing as you need a damp microfiber. First truck took me 2 hours trying to remove it but by the second car when I figured it out, took me 10 mins on a cayenne.
Interesting, thanks for the field report Mark. I have a few ideas for how to try that out. Ill make a note of it for future video ideas. I think TW is doing some cool stuff so its always worth a shot. Not a fan of all their stuff, but some of their lineup is killer.
@@DmitrysGarage to be clear I'm talking about the ceramic spray black wax. Not the polish. I'm excited that you're actually going to try it. Spray, wipe with dry, wipe with damp then wipe with dry again. Absolutely beautiful, would love to see how it holds up. 24hrs for cure but it recommends 7 days before using a pressure washer
Hello Dmitry, thank you so much for your honest, informative videos. I have a question, is it ok to apply Adams ceramic coating on the outside and under the sun?
Hey, thanks for the kind words. I would not recommend applying it or any coating (most products really) under the sun. I know some products can be used in direct light, but its never ideal. If going through all the work to coat a car I would find a way to do it indoors or at least shade id possible. Less chances of leaving high spots due to fast flashing, plus if you live in a humid climate like I do it really wont help either.
Dimitri, Have you had a chance to look into the Meguiar's Hybrid Paint Coating? I recently applied it to one of my vehicles and enjoyed the ease of application. it's claimed to last about a year +, so I'm looking forward to verifying those claims. Your channel provides a wealth of information and is impressive with your testing methods.
The durability and slickness test of Wolfgang silica spray looks amazing! Can this product also apply to other exterior surface such as plastics, glass, chrome...? or could you recommend your top 3 all-in-one spray coating for all exterior surface?
Ive been using it on all hard external surfaces (plastic, chrome, paint, etc..) without issue. Because it is so durable I just recommend making sure to wipe it up well off any matte surfaces to make sure it doesn’t high spot and leave a streak.
Yea I agree, Wolfgang gets lots of stuff right. It is an AutoGeeks house brand, they have a few of them and it seems to make a part of their overall lineup. I think it just hasn’t become as mainstream as a few other big names. Hopefully more people try them out, because they have some excellent stuff!
Hi Dmitry, thanks for all your tests an videos. Have you tested Finish Kare BWM 101 High Temp Past Wax before? Just curious if it does withstand the hot Arizona and Florida sun like some reviewers. A friend sent me 2 cans a couple of years ago and they don't seem to last more than 3 months for my truck that's parked outside 24/7 in the Hawaiian sun.
I am forced to park outside "street" parking and I NEED a GREAT product to protect my paint, head lamp lenses and rubber window trim (cracking). PLEASE ADVISE...?? Unfortunately, parking in cover isn't an option for me... Please recommend a product (or products?) for those 3 applications previously mentioned. Thanks much!!
I saw your other question as well and I would say no product I've found does any sort of significant UV blocking. PPF does block UV so that may be an option if this is your main concern. Good waxes/sealants/coatings will also help preserve your clear coat during washes and from the elements, and your clear coat has UV protection in it. So I would still keep applying products.
Hey Dmitry, have you ever thought about testing some of those waxes mainly designed for boats? I dunno, I'm thinking maybe these waxes go on a bit thicker and so might prove interesting for your UV testing? For example, Farecla tells me that their Profile UV Wax can also be safely applied to car paint for a nice gloss finish and with all the benefits of its touted UV protection.
Andrew, that's an interesting idea. I really don't know much about the difference in formulations. I'll talk to some of my contacts in the industry and see what they can tell me. I suspect they're not very different formulations, either way Profile UV Wax sounds interesting and ill throw it in my test list.
@@DmitrysGarage Awesome! While we're at it, a couple more contenders on the automotive side for what it's worth: Collinite 476s Super Doublecoat (billed as their toughest weather/UV protection - stronger than the 845), and a lesser known entry, Puris A37 UV Wax ("contains resin to ensure that surface is fully protected from harmful UV rays"...)
@@DmitrysGarage so is there any type of spray sealants that protect the cars paint at all? i really need to protect one of my car since the paint is not in good condition at all
Terrific breakdown, thank-you! I have a single stage paint on a 1977 Ford truck+copper color) that I want to protect and make it look its best. I like high gloss, which would you suggest is the one to use?
Hmmm thats so to be honest my experience with single stage is very limited. In theory the same principles would apply so the best recommendation i could give is to use the same products.
I'm going to use Gyeon Q2 Wax for the upcoming winter season in Sydney next month. I'd think you'd enjoy the wax - easy application, good slickness and great hydrophobic properties. It added a nice shine to the pearl crystal white paint on my Subaru. I'm not too sure about chemical torture test, but it should be able to last at least 3 months in real world conditions. For spray and rinse, Gyeon Wet Coat is excellent. Notable mention to Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax - only negative is the liquid is too viscous for my liking. Have you tried any of the other Soft99 products?? The Fusso Coat F7 liquid sealant supposedly lasts up to 7 months, and the Fusso Coat Speed & Barrier supposedly lasts up to 180 days. Both have the same fluorine polymers as their big brother.
I haven’t tried the q2 yet, will throw that one in the queue. I have tried a few other Soft99 products. They actually sent me a care basket to test out, I have a few in the pipeline for more content so be on the lookout for those :)
Thank you for this comparison. I am very interested in the Wolfgang silica spray. What prep would need to be done before applying if compounding and polishing was done? Thank you again.
I agree, I got into M27 last year and have been more than happy with everything about it. Really great product. Using Megs Hybrid Ceramic Wash & Wax to wash and M799 to top and it has been holding up fantastic.
As I understand there is not much difference in most major brands. There are just differences in harshness. Softer clay is less effective but less likely to mar the paint. Though I generally only clay before a paint correction anyway. Adams clay bars are fine.
I watched THIS video and the video about UV blockeing product. Unfortunately, you did a great job debunking the claims of "so called" UV products but you didnt telll us which on IS a good product for UV/ UVA protection. Could you please provide THAT info.? Thanks
Bill, I have tried a few ranging from silica sprays to spray coatings. I think some of the products are really strong. My top choice this year for a spray coating is the Wolfgang SiO2 silica spray which is what you might call a ceramic spray.
Hi my dear friend!! Dear Dmitry, have you tried Turtle Wax sealants? I am very interested in your opinion about these products, especially the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions. My very best wishes for you👍
Hey Joaquín, great to hear from you again :-). I think Turtle Wax has some solid products. The Seal N Shine is a very good spray. Hybrid Solutions is pretty solid too. Its even more durable than Seal N Shine. Ive got videos for both out here.
Hello Dmitry, really value your opinion! I was in FL recently and saw a product called G1 Ceramic plus SiO2 infused spray wax. Their demonstration at a Tampa car show was impressive. Do you have an opinion on this one? Thank you as always!
Cindy, so great to hear from you again. Unfortunately I haven't tried that product, but I am going to add it to my list. I'm working up a 2.0 version of my testing that should let me test much faster using a mechanized system. Hopefully will let me knock out tons of products very rapidly, the device in question can do 1 to 100 washes a minute, while my hands definitely cant!
So good to hear Dmitry as you are my go to guy...your reviews are the best! Finally, are you familiar with Cerakote rapid ceramic sealant as I have heard a lot of nice things about it. Thank you!!
@@cindykeselowski899 Thanks Cindy, that means a lot to me! I have also heard a lot of good things about Cerakote and that one is on my list to do soon, as it's a popular one. Hopefully I'll have some results to share with you soon!
@@DmitrysGarage Can’t wait! Would love to see how they compare as I own a few bit of the products and always been curious how they compare. There’s lot of videos from Larry (obviously), but very few “reviews” on UA-cam, so I think it would bring some new viewers to your channel. Let me know if there is something I can do to help!
I have a new model 3 coming soon. Do I have to polish it before applying any ceramic coating? I figured I would just wash it really well. Please let me know thanks.
Factory paint is never defect free from a polishing perspective. Ceramic coatings can be used on unpolished paint. However, if you want it to have the best bonding, longevity and best looking paint then at least a one step polish is a good idea. I always polish new cars and repainted cards before coating to maximize looks and performance.
Question pleast here in canada they want 60 bucks for the wolfgang deep gloos paint sealant . Do you think its worth the price ?? I dont mind the money just being disappointed..
Modern head lights are painted with clear coat. Once the clear coat fails from UV the lights fog up. In my experience and testing none of the waxes/coatings/sealants really do much for UV, which is what's going to re-fog your lights. Generally it's best to sand the lenses with heavy grit sand paper until the fogged up factory clear coat is removed. Then step up to 2,000 grit to smooth the surface. Once totally smooth and perfectly matte you should paint the lenses with automotive clear coat, you can get it in a rattle can on amazon (amzn.to/3CPaxYV). As you paint the lenses will turn perfectly clear if you did a good job sanding out any scratches. Spray 2-3 layers and let it cure. Then you can polish the clear coat, optionally wet sand it first if there is orange peel, then you can use a wax/sealant/coating to make them easier to clear. Otherwise you'll just be in the same yearly cycle of fogging up your head lights. Plus the way I described will make your lights MUCH clearer than trying to polish them clear without clear coat.
Sorry I haven't tried the graphene spray from Turtle Wax, at least I don't recall testing it. Maybe when you run out you can try one from my tests, like the Wolfgang.
I really haven't played with Nexgen yet, they're on my list, but I wouldn't be able to compare without doing a review. I'll get to them at some point, sometimes I feel like I need to get a helper. Thanks for watching and always a pleasure to see you here!
Would be interested in your thoughts on P&S sprays. How much gloss is really added since they don’t really add much durability. Beadmaker, Showroom Shine, Dream Maker
Personally I have not liked Beadmaker. I found it pretty meh. I use it as a quick spray sealant on wheels sometimes because I still have a bunch of it. Need to test the others though!
I generally recommend putting the strongest product on the bottom so it bonds well. I don’t think you’ll really be able to lock up the weaker products.
@@thefreshprinceofgreenhills or put the adams on the bottom. But when stacking you always have to test because solvents in top layers can affect the bottom.
I understand, yes it may be harder to get some of the same products. Unfortunately since I'm US based I have a similar problem, we don't have some of the stuff you have there.

I think the Meguiar's M27 far outperforms the "base" hybrid ceramic. Should give it a try if you haven't yet.
Will definitely give it a shot. Thanks for the suggestion Jamie!
I agree, I got into M27 last year and have been more than happy with everything about it. Really great product. Using Megs Hybrid Ceramic Wash & Wax to wash and M799 to top and it has been holding up fantastic.
I would like you to compare MALCO within your tests. Thank You.
I'll make sure i have it on my list for future testing :)
in Nigeria we are used to abro products but I have never seen any detailer out there use or mention abro products
Gr8 video, thank you, just subscribed.
Can I apply the wolfgang deep gloss sealent to a already waxed car...?
I used carnuba paste wax.
Thx
I would use one or the other personally.
Could have missed it but have you tried some of the Jax Wax products? Or Glassparency?
Do you have a preference for clay bars?
As I understand there is not much difference in most major brands. There are just differences in harshness. Softer clay is less effective but less likely to mar the paint. Though I generally only clay before a paint correction anyway. Adams clay bars are fine.
I watched THIS video and the video about UV blockeing product. Unfortunately, you did a great job debunking the claims of "so called" UV products but you didnt telll us which on IS a good product for UV/ UVA protection. Could you please provide THAT info.? Thanks
Have you tested any of the spray on ceramic products, Wolfgang etc?
Bill, I have tried a few ranging from silica sprays to spray coatings. I think some of the products are really strong. My top choice this year for a spray coating is the Wolfgang SiO2 silica spray which is what you might call a ceramic spray.
Did you here about glare polish glass placing is it any good
Hi my dear friend!!
@@DmitrysGarage Buffff, I’m definitely old.
I saw this vídeo long time ago but...I forgot that!!
Well, I’m 60, heheheee
Thank you my friend 👍
Glad you found them :)
Dimitri, have you tried Torque detail? A friend swears by it as I do the Last Coat 2.0
Would you please include AMMO products in your tests as well?
They’re in my list :)
@@DmitrysGarage I can’t see them on your website or videos. Can you point me in the right direction please?
@@CEPenney Oh sorry Curtis, I meant they're in my queue for future testing :).
Try Autogeeks website direct.
I need some coating for headlights after sanding and polish. I used trim from gyon but last only a year. Can something else be used other ceramic?
My thumbs up and nice comment :)
Thanks Andrew :)
What is difference in these and say turtlewax graphene spray. I am new to this and now seeing wolfgang cant figure out which spray to now use.
Sorry I haven't tried the graphene spray from Turtle Wax, at least I don't recall testing it. Maybe when you run out you can try one from my tests, like the Wolfgang.
So Dmity, what's your take Nexgen vs Last Coat? I have narrowed it down to those two! Keep up the great reviews, thank you.
I really haven't played with Nexgen yet, they're on my list, but I wouldn't be able to compare without doing a review. I'll get to them at some point, sometimes I feel like I need to get a helper. Thanks for watching and always a pleasure to see you here!
Have you tested duraslic ceramic spray?
Haven't had a chance to yet, but will make sure its in my list for future tests!
Hello Sir what do you think of putting a Soft99 Kiwami over teh Fusso and locking them up with Adams Graphene Ceramic Coating? Thanks!
I generally recommend putting the strongest product on the bottom so it bonds well. I don’t think you’ll really be able to lock up the weaker products.
@@DmitrysGarage Oh so its Fusso over Kiwami and no need for Adams Graphene Ceramic Coating?
@@thefreshprinceofgreenhills or put the adams on the bottom. But when stacking you always have to test because solvents in top layers can affect the bottom.
@@dmitrydovidenko5630 Thank you Sir Dmitry appreciate all these, subscriber from Philippines
Which Spray lasts longer: Wolfgang SiO2 Spray or Adams Graphene Spray Advanced?
I would say the Adam's edges out the Wolfgang, spray for spray, but the Wolfgang is easier to use since the Adam's is a full on coating.
@@DmitrysGarage Thanks Dmitry for all your evaluations.
Collinite?
Most product are not available??
It may depend on your location. I see them as available here in the US (Texas). Amazon doesn’t always have everything everywhere though.
@@DmitrysGarage thanks. I am in Europe
I understand, yes it may be harder to get some of the same products. Unfortunately since I'm US based I have a similar problem, we don't have some of the stuff you have there.
Bead maker should have been before extreme solutions
I prefer the extreme solutions personally, but the bead maker is definitely popular.
People still use wax?
Yep, but this video really covers all categories.
If you have the time, nothing better than spending a couple of hours waxing your car making it look perfect!
If somebody made a wax which showed real-world UV protection I wouldn't mind if it lasted 24 hours!
Great video!
