Thanks for the tips. Just tried to remove my first one, and found it challenging. Lol. It will get better. Can’t do the finger pricks so happy for this device. Stay well all.
Utilizing hand sanitizer around the sensor allow it to come off without pulling at the the skin. I also used the same method when I had a wound vac on my tummy. Painless removal 🙌🏾
@@AlizonA It tells you blood glucose levels at any time on a phone without having to sting your fingers and draw blood every time you want a reading. You still have to inject insulin before significant meals or if the readings are too high as a type 1 diabetic - you just won't sting your fingers to check the blood glucose.
ok how do you dispose of them. I'd hate to step on one. Nope I'm not saying you are irresponsible ,I'm just wondering do you get given z Sharps container or do you drop them off to a chemist?
Just got one and initially I was a baby about it. Once done It did not hurt at all!❤ Of course, keep in mind, your own skin, sensitivities, and where you actually place it.
Hi, I recently started using the FreeStyle Libre. But I have some issue with it. If I relax, I do not feel it. But I've been feeling continuous pain whenever I move my arm, particularly during arm stretches. I suspect it might be due to accidentally inserting the sensor into the muscle of my arm, but I'm not certain. May I ask if you also experienced this issue?
I've had no problems with mine in the shower, they're typically in for 2 weeks. One thing you have to watch though is when toweling off you have to remember that it's actually there or you could accidentally knocked it off your arm.
The easiest way to take it off is by getting a paper towel and fold about a fingers width and put alcohol and rub the paper towel against it all around the circle and it will easily come of without hurting you at all. Try this, it works great..
I live in USA, and May be it’s different type of model you have, but my sensors were in yellow box, in a small injector with a very fine flexible plastic needle. When it works, usually good monitoring for two weeks.
I use a dexcom g6 now, it has high and low alarms, it's a game changer! The libre is great too! I did, however, have one occasion with the libre where I put it on and it started to bleed out of the back instantly.. I'm not sure why It happened but it never happened again.
monitoring blood sugar levels for diabetics. it's a sensor. there will be another mobile kinda device called Freestyle Libre reader to show the results when we scan the sensor she's wearing. you can search for it on UA-cam.
Thank you for showing this because I just did mine for the first time today. I did not realize about this needle. I think I put mine down too low. I am not about to take this thing out right now. I feel like there are no instructions for removal 😩
I’m a type 1 diabetic, honestly the best way to pull it off, get an edge started and just pull and jerk it off with one clean sweep and you’ll be fine👍 and other questions related to diabetes hit me and I’ll be happy to help
It took me 30 minutes and repeated dousings with alcohol and even then it felt like I was skinning myself! I'd rather poke my finger all day!!!! Left my skin raw and sore!
I have been using freestyle sensors in Amman Jordan, customer service very uncooperative, the difference between finger glucocheck and sensor was 30. I lost my money. I wish if there is a reliable dealer in Jordan who really takes care of the products. We really need such technology. Jordan has thousands of highly educated persons, doctors, nurses and technicians, even volunteers who can take care of such products, more over high percentage of diabetic petients.
Thanks 🙏 for this!! 1st time user pulled it off and hurt less than putting it on, I pulled it off quickly and just like duct tape the slower you pull the more it hurts

You’re lucky, they took the time and courtesy to replace yr. Sensors. I lreside in USA, and called the phone number on the package, and gave them all the info. I put coconut oil on the adhesive part and it comes off well. I also put it on the adhesive it leaves behind on my skin. Works wonders.
I was just about to ask how to take them off. Ty ❤️
What the price
So satisfying love when it's time to change my patient's sensors
How do you prevent bruising? My arms look horrible. I change sites but always leave a mark.

Does it penetrate into the skin? Or just a surface device?

How that I know the correct moment to remove this? The manual doesn't explain.
I have been doing this for years. It's very helpful especially at work. The sensor make me relax when going out. I thank for simplified outing.

Most painful part is removing them. Alcohol around the adhesive.
Just saying everybody is beautiful just the way they are
U good my g?
Do you wash with soap and water after, then add alcohol before reapplying anotherr one in different section???
Of course 🤓 you need to clean before put it in the other arm 😅this is the best 😊I don’t have to pinch my fingers any more 🤓

Ja klar, immer wieder den Arm wechseln.
No. Dime people put the nee one 12hrs before old one expires
This sensor works for only two weeks, do we have any sensors that work a bit longer?
Well, that answers my question. No, the needle is not supposed to be crooked lol
how often do we need to remove it?
It can stay on for up to 14 days.
How does it work with showering? Is it sealed?
