This commercial had it all. Positive masculinity. Majestic nature. Diversity. Humor. And most of all memorable. I saw this commercial when I was a kid and to this day I still think about it every time I see Mountain Dew at the store.
The blast he takes in first hit. Is hysterically funny. Knocks him right on his butt. The whole sequence is absurd. Butting heads with a ram. Not a good idea. 😂
It's almost scary at 0:18 The way it makes that dominating look with it's eyes as if he's feeling superior. And i guess the way the face is made on a Ram can match that intimidating lool as well
That was the funniest commercial ever made. That loud and echoing "crack" with old boy still standing was hilarious. But the sad part is that this is now a "vintage" commercial...... 😢
I have a question. The bighorn sheep can weigh up to 500 pounds. A bighorn ram can withstand a blow to the head 60 times greater than what it would take to fracture your own skull. When two of the rams collide in battle, they often do so at a combined speed of 70 mph. Multiplying that figure by the combined weight of the two animals, (1,000 pounds) suggests an output of 4,000 foot-pounds of energy. Is that right? P.S. Remember, 500 pounds is 227.2727273 kilograms, 1,000 pounds is 454.5454545 kilograms and 70 mph is 112 kilometers an hour.
Nowadays it would be just a simple “happy” piano, a family made of an African American mom, a red-headed Norwegian dad, one child each from Argentina, Pakistan, and Turkmenistan, and an aunt from Mongolia.
Ah, nostalgia! Jon Bon Jovi was right in the old DirecTV ad... 🎼🎵"YOU SEE WE GOT THE POWER TO TURN BACK TIME! LET'S GO TO UA-cam AND MAYBE WE'LL FIND THAT MOUNTAIN DEW COMMERCIAL FROM LATE JUNIOR HIGH WHERE THAT RAM BUTS HEADS WITH THAT CRAZY GUY! HEY, THAT'S THE POWER TO TURN BACK TIME!🎵🎶
And thus, why kids should not be attempting the dangerous things they see in commercials at home (in fact, that could be why commercials featuring dangerous acts and stunts nowadays have a warning in small print warning not to recreate said scenes and stunts).
Meh, I think he didn't really headbutt the ram while recording, as the studio filming the commercial either had a mechanism attached to the stuntman to make it look like he headbutted the ram, but didn't, and was pulled back, or the ram was a computer-animated ram.
This has to be one of the best commercials I've ever seen
U well fkn right #1k
THis was created when people had ideas.
agree. I love it, a human would instantly die trying that.
This and the mentos commercial where the spider tosses the guy around the apartment is a classic as well
This commercial had it all. Positive masculinity. Majestic nature. Diversity. Humor. And most of all memorable. I saw this commercial when I was a kid and to this day I still think about it every time I see Mountain Dew at the store.
2022 I still remember this commercial lol 😂 this was one of my favorite commercial!!
Still remember this commercial from who knows when. This should be in the commercial hall of fame
One of the most underrated commercials of all time
For a 2000s commercial they sure made this look hella real lol.
yup
This was back when they were still creative. They did a split composition and had him run with a wire harness underneath and it would yank him back.
They just don't make commercials like this anymore! Simple, easy joke that gets you to laugh right away and still remember it 20+ years later!
Now this! This, is the G.O.A.T.
And the GOAT pun
I saw this on 2000....I always remember it
August, 2021, and this commercial still makes me cry from laughing.

I remember my dad watching this commercial just laughing
This is a 30-sec mountain dew version of the PBS docu-series Wild America with host Marty Stouffer doing the voiceover narration
Classic ad, but I'm scared at the prospect of a human skull getting rammed by a bighorn.
Yeah...........a human skull would get demolished instantly by a bighorn. No joke.
That is true. Thankfully, this was back in a time when people were not actually stupid enough to try and imitate what they see on TV.
The blast he takes in first hit. Is hysterically funny. Knocks him right on his butt. The whole sequence is absurd. Butting heads with a ram. Not a good idea. 😂
Try a Mountain Dew and that will seem like a great idea
AWESOME
COMMERCIAL
That guy was Carl in Dazed and Confused (The freshman whose mother pulled out a shotgun on O’Bannion.)
Holy shit, you're right. I had this Mandela effect, where I always thought it was Aaron Paul. Lol.
Man, this brought back memories.

I never said anything about the 🐏 being completely scary
@@Lover-of-Creative-Priorities I know, thought your observation was funny that's all.
That was the funniest commercial ever made. That loud and echoing "crack" with old boy still standing was hilarious.

This is right up there with the Messin' With Sasquatch commercial series.

Sounds right to me!
Can be heard for Miles when Rams are in the Rut Season.
One of the best anime fights of all time
the ram was packing
Nowadays it would be just a simple “happy” piano, a family made of an African American mom, a red-headed Norwegian dad, one child each from Argentina, Pakistan, and Turkmenistan, and an aunt from Mongolia.
At 0:19 THAT RAM😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Commercials used to be so fun.

Best commercial ever

Not bAaAad had me dead
Go find this guy. This is the new Wolverine.
Rams are definitely NOTHING to fool with.
If you even try to fight a Ram, you're going to lose.
You've never had Mountain Dew and it shows
And thus, why kids should not be attempting the dangerous things they see in commercials at home (in fact, that could be why commercials featuring dangerous acts and stunts nowadays have a warning in small print warning not to recreate said scenes and stunts).
One of the best commercials of all time
UNTIL NEXT TIME DO THE DEW!
hey man how you feelin 🤣🤣🤣
800 pounds of force vs 16 liters of dew.
The stuntman must have a very strong head.
Meh, I think he didn't really headbutt the ram while recording, as the studio filming the commercial either had a mechanism attached to the stuntman to make it look like he headbutted the ram, but didn't, and was pulled back, or the ram was a computer-animated ram.
This was from the early 2000s
Can't unsee randy orton rko.

Classic commercial
Not baaaadddd. Man I love Mountain Dew
Should’ve replace wolverine to that shot

What's funny is they got Marty Stauffer to do the narration who was very well known for his nature documentary show.
Godlike loooool
Dwight Shrute from The Office
Dude if this happened in real life that would be so epic
Dude would be dead
"fight for our product like you would fight for pu$$y in nature". These corporate types are deeply demented.
