So well behaved. It's important to put something down in the bottom of the sink or wherever you're bathing them so they don't slip around and have firm footing. Just wanted to mention that for new people
I like this method of bathing as most guinea pigs don't like standing in water and this is so much quicker and less stressful for them. I foster guineas and very occasionally need to do a bath so will be trying ths method next time
@@catherinewholey3630 I find it most efficient for sure. I use that for bum baths as well for seniors, sometimes don't even need shampoo and just hold them and rinse their bum and dry it.
Such a sweet girl, she’s so mellow during her bath. Whoever adopts her is going to so lucky to have an easygoing. I’m enjoying watching your videos, they help relieve my sadness from having to put our last piggie to sleep on the 12th, 12 days after her 8th birthday.
@@skinnypigs1unfortunately no, we’re both getting older and I have medical issues that weren’t present when I adopted my girls in 2016. If I didn’t have those issues I would love to adopt again.
She is such a good little girl! I'm sure you've mentioned it but just in case there are newbies here...... guinea pigs are social animals that are happiest when kept in pairs or small groups, and some recommend always getting two or more at the same time. In the wild, guinea pigs live in large herds, and companionship helps them express their natural behaviors, meet their social needs, and improve their mental well-being. It can also help prevent physical issues associated with isolation.
I tried to give two of the girls that I use to have a bath by holding them like that, but when I held them so i could get their belly under the water they always struggled and ended up putting their faces under the water coming out of the faucet.

Its always the cream color piggies that are so mellow and sweet. 😊 They are the golden retriever of guniea pigs. ❤
@shareye8783 Yes can seem that way. Pecan was so calm and light coloured for me.
Aww, she was sooo good ❤❤

@@wereleopard22 oh dear!
I used to have a guinea pig (rip) that would've killed me if I even tried to bathe them
I thought they got dust baths? This is new to me
@@quicksilversea5210 no that is hamsters and chinchillas. Never dust for guinea pigs.
Hey! I recently discovered i have hayfever. From memory you did as well. How do you reduce your irriarion from your guinea-pigs? Thanks x
@@Bongocat__ USE an air purifier in their room, wear a dust mask and wash your hands/arms well after handling hay or piggies.
