Great video. I just sent my Sennheiser Ambeo plus and subwoofer back and bought this Polk MagniFi Max AX SR with rears. Both are great soundbars but at over $1000.00 less and with actual rear speakers this Polk is the better performer with Movies and almost as good with Music. Ease of use and a straight forward remote and this Polk is a much better value then the Top priced Sennheiser. Way to go Polk. thank you
Polk MagniFi Max AX SR. I was looking at the previous model and that had lot of complaints on connectivity between satellite speakers. This upgraded model has fixed the issues and works great. It also has more audio options. I can recommend. Sound quality also is very good on different options and adjustable to preference. For the price you can't get better.👍👍👍👍👍
Dont understand if I can connect the new amazon Fire Stick 4k 2024 directly to the soundbar and take from It the video signal to bring to the TV. This because my TV doesnt have eARC output.
Pls allow me to share a question. It is regarding the satelite rear wireless speaker. It is a battery operated and it can be charge. What happen if the battery depleted after a long period of time. Does Polk Audio sell a battery for replacement? Thanks so much. Your channel is very informative especially to those home theater fanatics.👍👍👍
Anyone already bought a Polk magnifi MAX AX SR? If I play a 7.1 audio, will the surround sound come from L/R surround channel on the bar or those satellite speakers? (surround sound, not rear surround sound)
he answered that in the Q&A at the end. I bought one 2 weeks ago and have been wondering that. They are basically a combination speaker so what ever format you are playing they act as either the side surrounds or the rear surrounds or a combination of both. I bought swivel wall mounts for mine so I can turn them to 90 degrees on 5.1 or angle them more forward for 7.1 or Dolby Atmos content. the sound bar will also up mix audio to spatial formats even on 5.1 so it acts as both in one. you basically want to position them in between where the rear satellite's go on 7.1 and where the side surrounds go in 5.1. position slightly behind at about a 120 degree angle. hope this helps! ive been going mad trying to figure this out myself before I drill holes in the wall.
Most of Polk soundbars have no treble adjustments..this model? I've listened to Dolby atmos on various soundbars with no notable effects..only in a theater..just a selling point with no actual effect. Kudos..just noticed the treble adjustment on the remote..
After watching this detailed technical video I upgraded to Polk MagniFi Max AX 5.1.2 I was using Yamaha YAS-207BL, before. Thought Polk would be a good upgrade!!! But surprisingly my experience so far with - Polk MagniFi Max AX, is like a kid playing a radio infront of G0DziLL@ (Yamaha). Polk Audio is no where nearer to Yamaha - The Polk Audio Bass (Rumbling/Thumbling) depends highly on the input content, unlike Yamaha every content it would amplify, is unmathced. The surround feeling is also less with Polk. The Yamaha DTS - X surround is kick @ss!!! I personally feel Polk Audio has lot to do with their firmware (Although I have updated to the latest firmware). Its overcontrolling almost everything. Deep inside my pain of purchasing Polk Audio, still hurts.

I'm sure many of us would make the jump to a solution like the one I'm talking about. It would be nice to have these options: 7.1.4 configuration with height speakers. Room calibration with microphone and the possibility to manually set parametric filters at least on the LCR and LFE channels. Dedicated LFE channel and so we can put the subwoofer. I have an Arendal Sub1 with a 13.8" subwoofer. Although the bar would be larger, have speakers 3.5 "- 4". Written with translator Greetings and I hope that Polk Audio has in mind the possibility of a top bar in its genre.
Keep the Mini as it is. At this price point simpler is much better. If you want all the tinkering around soudbars they are out there but KEEP THE MINI AS IT IS....

I have not received my Polk Magni Mini Ax quite yet. I plan on ordering it within the next two weeks with some of my tax return funds. My Polk will help out my Sony 65 incher in my bedroom, so I don't know many ot all its little stats yet. I will be able to compare it to my recent Naka Dragon in my living area but really that's not a fair comparison as the Dragon is in a league of its own.@@JuanJose-wt5yj
i purchased the magnifi max sr a week ago for over $450. Heres my take, Polk has been around for some time , so its a bit odd that they just now in 2022 are making 2 dolby atmos soundbars. this isnt new technology, and in all context Dolby Atmos in essence is just taking a speaker and tilting it up/vertical and have it bounce off a solid object . The price you are asking for the new Polk magnifi max at roughly $900 is pretty outrageous considering you can get a vizio soundbar with atmos that is either just as good or better than the polk at a much much lower price and get the surround speakers.. There is also a loud default notification sound when you switch the bluetooth, or pairing the speakers theres a really loud 2 tone sound that cant be lowered or turned off. Its very evasive and not needed. if you are wanting the "dots" to be the main communication for what the soundbar is doing, then use those. lastly, using google to be the only source of update method is going to eventually deter customers as it doesnt always connect and you dont allow update downloads directly from your website.
I mean I don't get it! Where are the videos on the reviews and breakdowns on the new Marantz cinema line series?!??? This would be the equivalent of apple just released it's first foldable phone ever without a keynote or presentation. Seriously! You guys just released these new expensive units without any pomp and pangentry besides the website. Is something wrong with the units? Besides them being overly ridiculously expensive! Wow ok, hey can you like do us all a favor next time and not put your stuff out for sale to buy until you guys do an unveiling ceremony presentation because those of us who where actually looking fwd to this new lineup are just out here in the dark!
I kind of agree that's one reason I went with the Naka Dragon. Very good pre-order hype. Very convincing and in reality, a wonderful whole sound system for 90% of regular homeowners.

What are the HDMI versions on this sound bar. Are the inputs 2.0 or 2.1 and how about the eARC output? Is it 2.0 or 2.1?

If you want Atmos that will knock you out, you have to go with the Naka Dragon. Best Sound (bar) system in the last 20 years.

Why would one buy a subpar quality Vizio ?
Vizio is garbage. This is a great price compared to the SONOS line which is considered the best quality when it comes to soundbar packages
