Yes, mine got the coil whine too. I´ve never had a gaming laptop before, so I have no reference, but it is quite annoying.

Actually just picked this up and I’m loving it so far I bought the 512gb model and put 2tb and 4tb m.2 drives in it for a ton of storage.

@@Bahshshsvsh I don’t play games a whole lot tbh with work and school but when I get the chance my top picks are Genshin Impact, Starfield, and 7 Days to Die. I mostly watch anime on it while I do my graphic design work on my iPad. It runs all those games flawlessly though and I thought about picking up Elden Ring soon it seems good as well.

STRIX has an HX class CPU, and provides its GPU with 20W higher power.
It means more performance than Zephyrus, with same price.
Note that STRIX is extremely power-hungry and depletes battery quickly.

Yes, if you have 4060 card or any of the 4000 series Nvidia card they are good option for rendering via the AI technology implanted in their very chipsets. Of course, you will need the proper drivers for Studio not for Gaming if you are going to use your laptop.
The laptop can take up to 64GB of RAM and I believe the maximum space it could render or work with is 3T.
The 4060 GPU performs better than the 4060 TI, so you can relax. I'm running all new generation games on ultra settings without any issues as long as they have DLSS option. And even with an FSR 2 option only, the laptop still performs extremely well. Not as well as with DLSS but still extremely well. The 4060 GPU is actually part of the new DLSS 3 system and takes full advantage of it like all the other 4k series.
The display has very high resolution and it is crisp without any reflection, I am not a content creator or a dIgital artist but I believe you will be pleased.
The only difference with the above laptop is that I use i9 processor and I have the 17" model not the one shown above. To be honest, I am quite pleased with the laptop, runs extremely well after all the updates and optimisations they've done on the BIOS

any idea why nvidia lock their 140 watts new gen mobile gpus to 105 watts even at 100% usage ? if so then whats the point of buying the 140 watts one if they cant be fully utilized ? might as well get the asus tuff 16 2023 version, which is 100 watts and can be fully utilized right at 100 watts.
I have got the same model, but with an RTX 4070 instead of an RTX 4060. I can get max 135 ish watts on Cyberpunk while using, Path Tracing and instead of DLSS, I used DLAA. So it really depends on the workload in games! If you update the BIOS to the latest version. Its 321, u can also undervolt it with Intel Extreme Utility to make it even more quieter!

It is 1200p. No glowing logo. Its something like wuxfhd. Which Basically means full hd. But than in a 16:10 aspect ratio.

@@TechTyrial question, there is something weird that I can not figure it out maybe you can help me out, on my lenovo legion with rtx 3060 when gaming PUBG everything feels SO smooth but when gaming on my desktop that has better specs (4080 and r7 7700x ) I have a different sensation like micro stuttering I can not replicate the same smoothness than my laptop, beside my laptop and my desktop’s monitor have 165hz refresh rate. This strix looks smooth too, maybe because of laptops uses mux switches ? Thanks in advance.

I think it is better to replace it with 32 GB (2x16) DDR5 4800MHZ, 34,34,34-76 timings. The i7 13650HX is only maxed out at 4800MHz sadly.

Guys, please help with your advice! I wanna buy Legion 5 pro i7 12700H with RTX 3070 instead of this new ASUS Strix G16 RTX 4060 which is more expensive (about 250 dollars). What do you recommend? Also do you know if Legion 5 pro is much worse in thermals?
I had the same dilemma, Legion or Strix. Anyway I went with Strix g16. No problems what so ever at least so far 😅
3:17 the numbers 18.15.7 refers to alphabets in numbers. The 18th letter is R 15th letter is O and 7th letter is G. TAherefore ROG

are 1080p display good enough in a 16 inch laptop or i it worth paying extra for the 1440p?
Some people with very powerful eyesight might tell you that 1080p on a 16in laptop is inadequate but for mere mortals, it's good enough. Only if you are involved in professional graphic design, video editing or any visually demanding work, you might want a higher resolution. I own this laptop and do some video editing as a hobby and 1080p has never been an issue for me.
