      While I know videos of this nature include a "spoiler alert" at the beginning, if a video is about multiple movies, may i suggest that when numbering them, you leave out the spoiler, and just name the movie for the benefit of those who haven't seen some of the movies mentioned in the video yet, so viewers can skip that entry. That and/or include timestamps in the description to making skipping easier and more accurate

      It would've been better with a double twist. At the end, it shows that they were actually nazis, and had convinced him that he was actually insane, locked away forever. It would've been simple. I pan of the camera to a nazi flag right before the credits roll.

    "Shutter Island" is one of the best movies ever. A great writer, Dennis Lehane (who wrote "Mystic River") really twisted up my mind with "Shutter Island"...I had to watch it three times to "get it," and then the reveal was chilling and utterly shocking. And Spider-Man Homecoming was so obvious, wouldn’t call that a plot twist at all. Shutter Island is brilliant, that movie ending was insane. Think you could have added Inception as well, wasn’t expecting he had been there before. And Primal Fear, Edward Norton so good I wasn’t expecting his character to be faking it all along. @@nickh5081 SPOILERS (DO NOT READ THIS if you haven't seen "The Others" yet). While they were similar and maybe it was inspired by "The Sixth Sense" they were also different in that we have seen so many movies about humans being haunted by ghosts, but this shows us what it's like to be the ghosts in a house invaded by humans. It also explains so much about the housekeepers that arrived and had so many historical references like WWII, tuberculosis and photos taken of dead people as a regular practice. It also is interesting because the mother didn't know she had died because after smothering her children and "trying" to off herself with a rifle she pulled the trigger yet nothing happened -- and then she saw her kids and they were "alive" and talking to her after all, so she put the whole incident out of her memory. So much came together at the end like the husband's strange demeanor upon returning from WWII and the disappearance of the first housekeepers without notice. This is how ghosts themselves can be confused, not realizing who they are. It expands on the basic premise of "Sixth Sense" enough to make it unique and stand on its own.

      They test-screened it in front of a bunch of audiences with multiple different people being the guy behind it all. The one that the audience guessed least made the theatrical cut. No-one picked Mark Ruffalo because the movie wouldn't exist if it were Mark Ruffalo's character. So it was merely a case of the film makers deciding that a surprise was more important than telling a good story. Also, it wasn't a good story to begin with.

    The best ever is the reveal at the end of Jean Des Florette/Manon Des Sources. The old blind lady revelation to Cesar Soubeyran is mindblowing. It also gives us the best piece of acting in cinema history by Yves Montand who is playing Cesar.

    I LOVE movies with twists!! Now I have mine own list of movies I need to see: Identity, Us, The Prestige, Unbreakable, and Chinatown. The rest I've already seen or know the twist so I'm not interested in watching. But I am in the mood to rewatch a few!

    I think Primal Fear should have been included on the list. Richard Gere plays lawyer Martin Vail who usually takes on jobs for money and prestige rather than any sense of the greater good. His latest case involves altar boy Aaron, eccellently played by Edward Norton, who is accused of brutally murdering the archbishop of Chicago. Vail finds himself up against his ex-pupil/ex-lover, played by Laura Linney. The story reveals that Aaron suffers from dissociative identity disorder, and his body houses a second personality, Roy, who was the one technically guilty of the crime. The film climax not only stuns the audience but makes total sense and doesn't take away anything from the story that you saw up to that point when it hits you.

    It’s crazy how Psycho still manages to shock me at the end in a chilling way. When Norman rushes into the room, wearing his mom’s clothes and wig, that overly joyous smile is the most terrifying couple of seconds of any movie I’ve seen til this day. It’s such a smack in the face I’m surprised Hitchcock didn’t write the woman’s character to go into immediate shock and pass out.

      Man The Sixth Sense is amazing tho. I saw it knowing the twist already and it's one of my favorites

    • @georgevalley1319
      @georgevalley1319 4 роки тому

      @Andrew Smith I mean that doesn't really bother me at all since the movie doesn't really imitate that level of realism and that the ghosts don't know they're dead. They are restless and trick themselves into seeing "what they want to see." I think the intervention of special people like Osment's character is what generally helps them find out that they're dead and find peace.

    • @georgevalley1319
      @georgevalley1319 4 роки тому

      @Andrew Smith I said it didn't bother ME at all, not Malcom.
      The ghosts see what they want to see, they don't know they're dead. Malcom's character "sees" that Osment's character is his patient, but he's not actually in reality. There's no sign that Osment's mom actually has him assigned to anyone at all. Malcom just imagines the interactions with her. Other than that there's no indication that Osment has someone seeing him at that moment in time in the movie. He just assumes Malcom is supposed to see him since neither of them knows he's a ghost and he's had professional help in the past. So that's really not a plot hole at all

    • @georgevalley1319
      @georgevalley1319 4 роки тому

      @Andrew Smith The only reason he often knows they're ghosts is because they have obvious wounds/scars from the way they died. He thought the one lady ghost in the kitchen was his Mom at first, but when she turned around he realized it was a ghost with cuts on her arms. All the other times we see ghosts, it's clear that's what they are. The one kid has a giant bullet wound on the back of his head, the girl in his house with vomit coming out of her mouth, the people hanging by their necks in the school. Malcom happens to have his wound in his clothing where it is easily missed. His sixth sense helps him see the dead people, but the movir doesn't say it helps him identify that they're ghosts immediately. For all we know, Osment's character might see way more ghosts than he realizes each day, it's just the obvious ones that scare him since he knows what they are.
