I watched the 6th sense for the first time about a year ago with my mom, and about a quarter of the way through I turned to her a said "He's dead isn't he?" Just was so upset....Lol
I watched sixth sense as a kid in 1995 and as soon as the film began I jumped up in the theatre and said to everyone the truth. I said "it's all fake, not real" and people were so shocked. The manager wanted to fist bump me for being so smart, but I said nah. Then I walked out.
The Prestige! That movie caught me by surprise at the end. Also: Shutter Island. Similar to A Beautiful Mind, the movie is good at making you believe what the protagonist believes to be reality.
One of my favorite plot twists is from The Mist. He kills his family to put them out of their misery, then tries to kill himself only to find out that he's one bullet short, and if things weren't bad enough, 2 seconds later the national guard comes in and saves everyone. Now he's alive knowing he's killed his entire family for nothing...
For me it's "The Vvitch". If you don't know, it's a colonial period horror movie with Anya Taylor-Joy and Kate Dickie where the gist is bad things are happening to Anya Taylor-Joy's farm and family. In those days they were very religious so initially, the family thought their black goat was the devil doing all the bad things to them, but throughout the movie her family started assuming SHE was the witch so they ostracized her even though all the evidence were circumstancial, and she was always in the wrong place at the wrong time. In the end her entire family were killed, and turned out the goat WAS in fact the devil, and she was a witch afterall. Pretty cool movie
My favorite plot twist was this video, just how the hell do you not include classics like "The Usual Suspects", or "Se7en", or "Fight Club", or "Memento", I could just go on and on. THIS I was not expecting. Bravo, best unexpected ending ever!
greatest plot twist was this video as soon as the last jedi popped up then I realized I had been had.... good on you looper way to subvert expectations

I'm really glad they mentioned Arrival. It's one of my favorite movies that no one talks about. The "plot twist" they mention is something I can talk about for hours because it's so interesting and mind-boggling
The Uninvited (2009) has one of the BEST cinematic/satisfying plot twists I’ve ever seen.
*Other great thriller movies* with great plot twists are Final Destination 5, Searching (2018), Devil (2010), Orphan (2009), the Saw films, and several Black Mirror episodes are outstanding.
The Skeleton Key had one of the best twist ending ever
I agree, and very sad too.
Chicken Nuggets yessss
THat ending kept me up all night.
What about Seven? Never saw that ending coming?
Whats in the Baaaaaaaaaaaahx?
Deetecccvctiiiiiiiiiveeeee
not really a twist, though.
Nah it was just Johns plan, not a twist though
YOU MIGHT SAY IT WAS AHEAD OF ITS TIME
I personally think that the most insane plot twist I have ever come across was "Identity" alongside that there are some quality twists in "Unknown", "Shutter Island" and "Pre-Destination"
I am surprised that no one mention 'Predestination'
I was looking for this comment
lol the one that hunt herself all along in an infinite loop of timeline xD
that plot twist is amazing lol
Yeahh
I was speechless and dumbfounded when I saw that. Finding out that not only was she the baddie but her own father and mother... Such a great movie.
Outstanding film!
The Village had some interesting twists...
Gone Girl has the best plot twist I have ever seen.
What about “The Others”....thats a great twist in the end as well...😱😱
oh yeah... Amenabar took the "Sixth Sense" twist feeling alike to outer heights! To briefly explain my point, he created the perfect buildup!
@Samael Maybe you were able to predict it but I'm old enough to have seen it in the theatre and I can guarantee you only a few people saw it coming. I still remember the gasps of surprise and the whats and whoahs..
Yeah it was
Rip off of sixsense
Just watch it after reading your comment
A good film tho
Did not see that twist coming..
Y'all forgot one of my favorites "The Skeleton Key." This movie was scary and very sad and one of very few that didn't have a happy ending.
Impress Me one of my favorites too!!
watch 'behind her eyes' on netflix
Yes very good one!!!! That ending haunted me for days after watching it
Arrival is one of my fave movies all time hands down
The Prestige blew my mind
Where the hell is The Pestige, Lucky Number Slevin and Se7en?
The usual suspects too
All shit movies watch "along came a spider" or "the invisible guest" - Spanish movie but watch with subtitles worth it
All shit movies watch "along came a spider" or "the invisible guest" - Spanish movie but watch with subtitles worth it
@@tysonfranswah9296 No need to insult those movies just to push your favourite.
What was the plot twist in Se7en again?
Snape being the good guy all along and never stopped loving Lily hits me
Yeah well he made it possible for Harry to kill you-know-who but he was never a good guy.
What movie was that?
@@celieboo Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows part 2
You seriously put the Last Jedi in a “Best of All Time” Video? SERIOUSLY!!!!
Dan White this video subvert your expectation
@@ABH565
*LOL*
TLJ was garbage...not worth the admission price
I find it difficult to believe that after more than a year we still have people trying hard to defend the garbage movie that was The Trashed Jedi!
@@colorin81colorado They'll stop trying when Disney no longer holds their balls in it's hands.
Are you guys high? Spider-man is number 1 and Fight Club isn't on the list...makes total sense
It's not #1 - the list's alphabetical. But yeah, not a perfect list by any standard …
the movie Orphan. the twist is amazing!
@The Duke It happened in real life , so can't say it was dumb
Yeah that was a trip
True, if it wasnt something that ACTUALLY HAPPENED in real life, it would have seemed ridiculous and unbelievable.
Where the hell is Usual Suspects (1999? Some time like that, Kevin spacey movie)
Where the hell is Primal Fear
(Edward Norton's first big screen appearance)
And of course, one way more well known, fight club? What? You put a star wars movie over movies that blew me away when I was younger? I'm shook.
Edit: another one this time with Brad Pitt again and Kevin spacey- Se7en
Primal Fear is the best.
Arrival was AMAZINGG, it blew my mind away 🤯
How did Saw 1 not make it on the list ? That ending is just perfect, the music and the screams during the credits.
Primal Fear, Arlington Road, Usual Suspects, Shutter Island.
Predestination
Please...please don’t refer to the plot of The Last Jedi as great. “Subverting expectations” does not mean a competent narrative.
The only expectations that movie subverted were the expectations of seeing a semi-decent movie xD
The uninvited... Such an underrated film
Aah its not as good as the orignal
A tale of two sisters (korean)
not a *movie* but the plot twist at the end of black mirror's shut up and dance episode left me *SHOOOOK*
What twist? I saw it. Definitely not very surprising. Imo
@@chapter024 the fact that kenny was a whole ass pedophile?? props to u if u figured it out early on but for me and many others it was a big shock
The fact y’all really put THE LAST JEDI!!!!
And HOMECOMING!!!!! As the top two while leaving out things like fight club is why no one can ever trust this shat channel.
Anyways, I’m off to sell soap and blow up my apartment xoxo
Tyler durden
T Mox 😳 and his name was Robert Paulson
@@kavenkaven4989 in life you are no one. But in death you have a name.

Really, Spider-Man homecoming???
We all saw that miles away
wait what's the plot twist? I watched it few times alr and i feel dumb now
@@kekw5153 The villian of the movie is found out to be Peter's friend's Dad.

This is the 'Greatest Movie Plot Twists since 1980, but mostly from 200 onwards.'
@@troywright359 Incredible. Especially because it came out in 1999...
@@Kupperdurden kid was 4 years early- incredible
Terminal. A really underrated movie that has a few great twists.
You had Get Out but what about Us?
Also if your going classic why not Shutter Island?
Us is very recent. Also, wasn't that twist pretty obvious??
@@FLdancer00 not really lol
@@MyersFlow Oh. Maybe I read too much but I saw that coming.
Doesnt a movie have to be old to be classic, I mean l like shutter Island and all, but a newer movie really isnt classic
The Prestige! That movie caught me by surprise at the end.
Also: Shutter Island. Similar to A Beautiful Mind, the movie is good at making you believe what the protagonist believes to be reality.
Fight club. Upgrade and the 1st Saw movie had some of the best plot twists of all time.
@@amanms1999 couldn't agree more
One of my favorite plot twists is from The Mist.
He kills his family to put them out of their misery, then tries to kill himself only to find out that he's one bullet short, and if things weren't bad enough, 2 seconds later the national guard comes in and saves everyone. Now he's alive knowing he's killed his entire family for nothing...
FajitaMage he ends up killing himself as soon as he asks a soldier for a bullet so it’s all good in the end
Ben Brennan sad nonetheless
What about the others with Nicole Kidman. That twist was insane
I agree. It’s one of my favorites.
Overrated movie
The Last Jedi was a terrible plot twist lol. And where is Phsyco??
My favorite plot twist was this video, just how the hell do you not include classics like "The Usual Suspects", or "Se7en", or "Fight Club", or "Memento", I could just go on and on. THIS I was not expecting. Bravo, best unexpected ending ever!
Last Jedi what a crock of crap, Memento, Fight Club, Old Boy, Usual Suspects, and Looper!
The last jedi should NOT be on here, can believe I didn't think of looper though, I love that movie
The Last Jedi doesn’t deserve to be here.
Great Video, I like it :)
Lucky Number Slevin was so amazing.
Rolf I love that movie...I also love The Thomas Crane Affair from the 90’s
greatest plot twist was this video as soon as the last jedi popped up then I realized I had been had.... good on you looper way to subvert expectations
The Prestige by Christopher Nolan had an awesome plot twist as well. Great list too! The 6th Sense is still on my must watch list
Watched 6th Sense in the theater. I figured out the twist in the first scene of the movie. But then I got all caught up. When the twist was revealed, I was like "WOOOOOW... Wait.... I already guessed that." 😂😂😂
Bethany Hanna The Others was better
I loved both The Sixth Sense and The Others equally. Both are great films.
AKA, 'The Greatest Movie Twists Mainstream Audiences Will Recognise Of All Time'
Exactly how is fight club, memento, usual suspects and the prestige not on this list
I guess no one here knows Jacob's Ladder. 😂
Shutter island, anyone? Made me so mad
the twist in homecoming is super underrated, it came out of nowhere and made the rest of the plot extremely tense in just one moment
I am a simple man, I see Amy Adams I click.
Interstellar ❤
The Usual Suspects, The Crying Game, Orphan, and The Sixth Sense is my favorite❤
Okay so I watched all of this and waited for ‘The Others’ to come up
Same
It's a good one.
List is SEVERELY lacking, Usual Suspects, Fight Club, Shutter Island, Saw, Unbreakable
EDIT: Also Terminator 2. At the mall confrontation no one knew the T800 was the good guy until he said "get down" to John Connor...blew most people away
Lacking very popular plot twists
are the 2 sequels to unbreakable worth watching?
@@Son96601 Not terrible, UB was my preference in his movies bc it's a little less 'self aware'
@@thee_morpheus what do you mean by self aware
@@Son96601 Meaning that in sequels to great movies they try too hard to out do the original, and it loses its charm. They double down on things that made the first one special like jokes or great moments. Make sense?
