Some big friendships missed off this - Michael Sheen & David Tennant; Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry & Hugh Laurie; Steve Martin & Martin Short; and then greatest of all Whoopie Goldberg, Billy Crystal & Robin Williams.
I was gonna say I don't think they technically count as they hadn't done movies together , only TV but then I realised I was wrong. Emma, Hugh & Stephen were in Peter's Friends. David and Martin were in Bright Young Things. And I guess technically, since the documentary Get Bruce was released in cinemas, it would count for Whoopi, Robin and Billy.
Absolutely agree! These legendary friendships not only created unforgettable memories but also brought joy and deep connection to audiences through their work. The absence of Michael Sheen & David Tennant, Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry & Hugh Laurie, Steve Martin & Martin Short, and especially Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Crystal & Robin Williams is truly a miss. Their unique bonds have contributed to so many wonderful moments in the arts.
Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie, and Brad Pitt and George Clooney are my favorite friendships I grew up watching the Ocean's trilogy and the MCU glad to see that this video acknowledged it
I don't know how this was missed but Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne are great friends. They have done at least 3 movies together (Boyz in the Hood, What's Love Got to Do With It, and Akeelah & the Bee) and they've shouted out each other at various award ceremonies.
I understand the list is about movie co-stars, but when it comes to “from onscreen colleagues to real-life bffs”, it’s definitely Zach Braff and Donald Faison. When you listen to their FDRF podcast, you can feel this genuine care, love and affection for each other and their respective families. It’s truly one-of-a-kind Hollywood friendship which you don’t only hear about but also get to witness.
Hey Trinaq, I really loved Titanic, but what did you think of Revolutionary Road? For me, it had amazing acting but the whole film is so damn depressing. It’s a film that’s perfect for showing what life was like in 1950’s America and how one can feel trapped by circumstances. But all the fighting was just difficult to sit through. Plus, the ending was utterly devastating.
@@amberjohnson4820 My sentiments exactly, Amber. The acting was sublime across the board, but the story was bleak, and I've only been able to watch it once in my lifetime.

They are one of our greatest exports to Hollywood as well as being fantastic actors. Ian even got certified to be able to officiate at Patrick's last wedding.
Clooney is an alumni of one of my colleges. My roommate, who was insanely beautiful, got dolled up to meet him at an event when he was supporting our college. She got her opportunity, used all her charms, and he politely snubbed her. That was when I began respecting him as a person and not just as a very talented actor. Few men said no to her. It's what you do when no one is watching that tells your character. That was over 20 years ago. Looks fade no matter what you do, but integrity stays if you protect it.
His aunt Rosemary who was famous in the 40s and 50s was also a very likeable star, never heard of anyone who did'nt love her on set and off it. Great singer and actress, beautiful, always dressed decent as ladies of that era did, they had panache and were chic. So sad those days have gone now when ladies behaved like proper ladies and not like those today who dress and act like hookers. Ladies like Rosemary were the sort of girl you weren't ashamed to introduce to your parents if you were male. And the kind of friend every girl wanted as a friend.
Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna. Literally best friends since infancy. Breakout movie together in Y Tu Mama Tambien. Co-founded a movie production company. Utterly adorable whenever they appear together on red carpet or interviews.
Some very old school friends. Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift (A Place in the Sun, Raintree County) Orson Welles and Joseph Cotton (Citizen Kane, The Magnificent Ambersons, The Third Man), Bing Crosby and Bob Hope (The "Road" movies), Don Rickles and Bob Newhart (Newhart), Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau (The Fortune Cookie, The Odd Couple,The Front Page, Grumpy Old Men)
I grew up seeing the friendships of Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin and Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara. Also Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey McGuire. Their friendships are the definition of friendship goals.
I am so privileged and honoured, to have such close and strong friendships with my real friends. One of my closest friends, I've known since Kindergarten (aged 4). He was one of the first friend (to pay condolences to my Grandparents; during Coronavirus in late January 2021). When his Grandmother died, i went to his home, and offer him my sweet hugs (Condolences)
All I can say is a quote from an episode of Frazier in which of of Frazier's fans from Frazier's FAN CLUB said, "This is good, this is GOOD!" Great countdown.
There was also Morey Amsterdam and Richard Deacon who loved to hate each other on the Dick Van Dyke Show...but loved each other as buddies off camera.😊😊
Great list. Too bad you didn't mention Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan (Lord of the Rings trilogy) or Rami Malek, Ben Hardy, Gwilym Lee and Joseph Mazzello (Bohemian Rhapsody).

So I’m good with mentioning Cher and Michelle, thanks.
You've masterfully captured the essence of the 1960s Hollywood era, allowing us to witness the profound transformations of these actors within the narrative.
Love Michael Shheen and David Tennant in Good Omens 1 + 2, they have great screen chemist. Try and are friends off screen too. Saw them on a documentary before first series started, they were hilarious together.
Missed out some great friendships - Ryan Reynolds & Hugh Jackman, Alan Rickman & Emma Thompson, Michael Sheen & David Tennant, Mariska Hargitay & Chris Meloni
I mentioned Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman also because they played in 3 movies together, developed a really close friendship and she gave him a heartfelt tribute when he died. Sheen and Tennant and Hargitay and Meloni are TV buds, not movie buds and Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are more famous for feuding together even though their feuding is really in jest.
Maybe it's because they've only done one movie together, but Danielle Brooks & Corey Hawkins are BFFs in real life. The reason why they had such great chemistry in “The Color Purple” is because they were both in the same Juilliard cohort.

I actually don’t think they were best friends. They were both immature together! Haims mother claims that Feldman was pretty backstabbing with Haim and it was more a marketing stunt than reality to make them best friends
Did you forget: Zach Braff & Donald Faison "Scrubs" .Jenson Ackles & Jared Padalecki (not forgetting Misha Collins) "Supernatural" Tom Wopat & John Schneider "The Dukes of Hazard" Ian Somerhalder & Paul Wesley "The Vampire Diaries" I'm just saying! 😊❤
Nice list, but only for those after 1995. How about Laurel & Hardy? Spencer Tracy & Kathryn Hepburn? Sir Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing? Patrick McNee and Dame Diana Rigg? Jack Benny & Eddie Anderson? There's a lot of showbiz BFF's.
Tracy and Hepburn? I have been a fan of Hepburn practically since birth. They were lovers for decades, and he was the love of her life, but he never had the decency to legitimize their relationship because he was unwilling to divorce his estranged wife. Based on her autobiography, I suspect Kathryn treasured him until death. I doubt he deserved it.
Laurel & Hardy hated each other. As did Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis. Tracey & Hepburn were lovers, not BFFs. Jack Benney's BFF was famously George Burns but Benney remained close to Eddie and helped him out.
Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau met on the set of The Fortune Cookie (1966) and remained best friends for the rest of their lives. Both are buried at Pierce Brothers Westwood.
Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold deserve their due. They met while doing “Little Shop of Horrors” and have been besties ever since. Honestly, I would have chosen them over Dana and Jada based on the longevity alone.
I’m surprised Steve Martin and Martin Short are not on this list! Then there’s Michael Sheen and David Tennant and even though someone in these pairs is sadly no longer with us I would also have said Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson, Robin Williams was best friends with Billy Crystal and Bobcat Goldthwait, and Chris Farley and David Spade.
now do tv stars next....like John Schneider and Tom Wopat from "The Dukes of Hazzard", Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum from "Smallville", and Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki from "Supernatural"
I love all of these friendships so much ♥️♥️ I think it’s great that even doing a project together they all remained good friends which something I like to see 😊
How the hell did Ryan Reynolds not make this list at all? Especially him and Jake Gyllenhaal, they're best friends last I heard. Plus absolutely hilarious together, and they did that movie together a few years back. The alien slime one I think, I didn't watch it. Those kinda movies are too real for me lol.

Yes! With each commenting that even though they are such opposites on many issues, they are like brothers!
27:46 they are childhood friends. They’ve been friends since childhood.
What about Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler? Or Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox?
So George Clooney is a regular Golden Retriever, huh? Everybody’s very best friend! Whose da’ Good boy, huh?
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
How was this list made without Corey Haim and Corey Felman?
I actually don’t think they were best friends. They were both immature together! Haims mother claims that Feldman was pretty backstabbing with Haim and it was more a marketing stunt than reality to make them best friends
Did you forget:
Zach Braff & Donald Faison "Scrubs"
.Jenson Ackles & Jared Padalecki (not forgetting Misha Collins) "Supernatural"
Tom Wopat & John Schneider
"The Dukes of Hazard"
Ian Somerhalder & Paul Wesley
"The Vampire Diaries"
I'm just saying! 😊❤
Mitchell Musso and Sam Lerner. Those two have been good friends ever since the two of them did Monster House.
So Georg Clooney is everyone’s friend 😂
Benedict Cumberbatch & Tom Hiddleston.
I would have paired Jack Benny with George Burns. The two long time friends were set to star in "The Sunshine Boys " before Jack died.
Laurel & Hardy hated each other. As did Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis. Tracey & Hepburn were lovers, not BFFs.
Jack Benney's BFF was famously George Burns but Benney remained close to Eddie and helped him out.
@nancymoore1240 please provide a citation for "Laurel and Hardy hated each other. "
Pretty much the direct opposite of everything I've heard.
Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau met on the set of The Fortune Cookie (1966) and remained best friends for the rest of their lives. Both are buried at Pierce Brothers Westwood.
This was so amazing. I love a lot of these actors so much it's crazy. I remember when Adam Sandler was awesome.
Pam n Gina on martin are real life bffs for like 30+yrs
Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold deserve their due. They met while doing “Little Shop of Horrors” and have been besties ever since. Honestly, I would have chosen them over Dana and Jada based on the longevity alone.
Michael Sheen & David Tennant!!!!
Tichina Arnold & Tisha Campbell
Another great list-thanks!
Great list 🎉
seb and anthony❤
Based on this video I would say that George Clooney is BFFs with everyone.
Clooney & Tom Hanks are prob the best liked ppl in Hollywood.
now do tv stars next....like John Schneider and Tom Wopat from "The Dukes of Hazzard", Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum from "Smallville", and Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki from "Supernatural"
I love all of these friendships so much ♥️♥️ I think it’s great that even doing a project together they all remained good friends which something I like to see 😊
I see Sebastian and Anthony, I click
John Travolta and Kristie Allen ❣️
How the hell did Ryan Reynolds not make this list at all? Especially him and Jake Gyllenhaal, they're best friends last I heard. Plus absolutely hilarious together, and they did that movie together a few years back. The alien slime one I think, I didn't watch it. Those kinda movies are too real for me lol.
7:48 Phoebe: My eyes...my eyes 😢😂😂
Of course Sexy Seabass & Chocolatechino would make an appearance on this list - those of us who know know😂😂😂😂😂😂
