That would be instant. Even euthanasia by lethal injection isn’t as humane because it feels like acid entering your bloodstream.

I don't know if i'm right but it's almost impossible to not fear death, it's in our nature to be scared of death, because pretty much every living thing's purpose is to reproduce and if you're dead you can't reproduce so it's pretty much impossible to not fear death (sorry for some mistakes i'm from Europe and i'm a smol boi)
I'm pretty sure it's the fear of excruciating pain you'll feel when you land if you happen to fall, not the fear of the concept of death itself (at least for some people).
