Notice how you're not totally missing out if you ditch Disney for Universal. There are things your kids will enjoy. Can't ride Dumbo? Kang & Kodo's in Springfield is very similar What about the 7 Dwarfs mine train? There is a gentle version called Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster. For older kids, there's of course Flight of the hippogriff. Splash mountain? Try Dudley Dooright Ripsaw Falls And of course the two things Disney has no equivalent for: Hagrid's magical creatures motorbike adventure and the Velocicoaster in Jurassic Park. And don't forget, if the kids are shivering, they do sell HOT butterbeer. No more winter season restrictions! YAAYY!
Have express after 4pm since you sold me on getting an UOAP after a few year break, but this is helpful prioritizing. Looks like you had fun making it. Love it👍 May have to staycation at HR and see if can ride it all in a day
Lucky she had a thick tank top. Women shouldn't even think about forgetting a thick bra or at least an undershirt. You can get drenched. Why else does Universal try to save your dignity by installing those massive dryer rooms outside the exit...
Legitimately did NOT know that Poseidon's Adventure had an Express lane and I am here for it! We've only seen the actual show once, and the water tunnel walkthrough wasn't functioning correctly at the time; so we definitely have to go back and try it again one day! So glad that they finally brought it back online. Plus, I swear to you, I'd do Poseidon's a thousand times before I'd do Popeye's once. You drew a bad hand on that tugboat soaker. 😂 Express all the way, never leave home without it!
I can't wait to use express. This seemed very much worth it. Also, those people dryers do nothing! Still to try poseidens, might be worth it for express.
Having an AP, I've never thought about getting an express pass. I may have too now! at least one time. It looked so worth it!.. Oh and Popeye was Awesome Lol!
I do enjoy going off-season but the massive tradeoff is that all the water rides will be closed for winter maintenance. Why go in January when South Florida is f-freezing cold? There are plenty of good ones: hotel rates are cheap. I thought I couldn't afford Cabana Bay (my favorite of Universal's hotels) but I went the week after most kids were flying back home for school. The rates dropped very low so I booked four nights. speaking of hotels, the pools are heated so don't worry if your kids beg to swim in the pool. Cabana Bay has a slide and a lazy river. (Note: Cabana Bay has fire pits so you can buy s'mores kits in the cafeteria and roast them near the pool area.) of course, the freezing weather scares off some of the crowds so you will be able to do what you want. I STRONGLY urge you to book no fewer than two days even if on a budget. You cannot enjoy everything overnight also Universal is in a bargaining mood so tickets will either be cheaper or they'll bundle it with other features that are severely discounted. Even in January, Comcast (which owns the Universal brand and parks) is determined to fight the Mouse and will discount rooms. Remember that top tier hotels like Hard Rock and Portofino Bay have Express Pass already included with your stay. The one big problem you will encounter: you must book flights early. I don't know why but the flights to Orlando were all packed completely. Trust me, there will be no leftover seats. Do NOT be late for your flight. It could be very difficult to find a backup flight because so many planes will be packed full.
Great content! Love the channel and just recently subscribed here and on Instagram. Quick question, I’ll be heading to universal and islands of adventure the beginning of December, the weekend of the 10th and 11th to be specific. It is not during winter school break thank god, but never been that late in the year. How are the crowds around this time of year? Thanks ;)
Thank you for subscribing! December is usually pretty busy with the holidays but the earlier in the month it is, the less crowded so 10-11th shouldn't be too bad!
Popeyes looks like so much fun on a hot day. Great vlog once again
It was! Thank you!
