This video is quite misleading if you want to spend your money mainly to get pulls on the limited banner (which is what most people do since you can get all the other stuff in these packs by just playing the game). The collector's edition battle pass has very high value with about 0,9 pulls per dollar. Followed by the advanced battle pass (which you get anyway if you buy the collector's) at almost 0,9 pulls followed by the top 2 daily supply boxes (the one for 60 tanium and the one for 180 tanium that includes a red nucleus) at 0,6 pulls. The only thing better is of course the monthly supply with about 4,5 pulls per dollar. Saying "you buy the CE battle pass for the skins, the 10 red nuclei are just bonus" is a ridiculous statement, it's exactly the other way around. It is by far the best value second only to the monthly supply.
10 red nucleus one ssr u can simply buy month pass plus battle pass which gives pass 20 pulls only being 15 dollar he is absolutely right about the cosmetics they are just extra

You messed up on the 10 red from the pass. It's rlly high value. 11$ for 10red+ ssr and extras. The 10 red alone cost 1500bp which even after highest converting of 50% more BP than blue is higher value cuz 10= 1000. 1000 is about 16.7$. Without converting is crazy high value. Keep in mind converting takes days buying the 60 daily for 90 hence 50%. So no convertíon and we have a 10$ something that's 25$ ( not counting extras). The extra 10$ is possibly highest value. Hence why you messed up.
Agree this entirely, that and the Red Nucleus Large Pack is actually bad value, not good value. The extra items (Weapon Battery, Augment Box I + II) are valued too highly in the guide even though they are no where near as limited as Red Nucleus, Red Nucleus Pack Small is actually the more valuable out of the three. Small > Medium > Large.
What do you estimate would be the minimum value you'd need to spend to keep up with the Banners? Assuming you try 120'ing or at the very least 80'ing every Banner which is around 1 per month
When the game launched I made a ton of calculations on the battle pass, monthly supply, what tanium pack to buy to get the daily supply boxes (60 tanium and 180 tanium red nucleus) etc. to get to about 100 pulls per month (didn't write it down though ...) and it was around 160-180 €/$ per month I think. Bro put collector's edition bp on last place 💀. Jokes aside, i think ppl would appreciate a list focused around red nuclei more and not taking into big consideration the extra mats you get. For example, the (L) nuclei pack has a lot of stuff yeah but who cares about all that, you can farm it, red nuclei are the most important thing in this game for a f2p/light spender.
Man, I watch you when playing lost ark.... now I picked up this game and here you are! Seriously, this game is a nice break from lost ark until clown comes out.
I disagree with Collector's Edition BP - 10 Red Nucleus for $10 extra is pretty good. At least this one, who knows, maybe this will be changed later but even 10 Red Chips is decent (tho this depends if you are going for them or not, value wise in-game it's the same as Red Nucleus). Since $1 is 60 tanium (yes, you get SLIGHTLY more value when buying more expensive packs, but let's be honest, not that many people will go for a $100 one) it would be $25 for 10 pulls (because 60*25=1500). So you are telling us that whis is the worst deal? In a game where people would go for limited characters? Even if BP upgrade would cost $20 it would STILL be a better deal but it costs $10. For a reference, IIRC, Genshin's 2nd BP is actually trash that gives you one card, a bit of resin and furniture. Now imagine it giving 10 pulls in a limited banner? It would've been much MUCH more popular thing to consider buying. I even checked the shop and it turns out that if you won't take into account "First Purchase Reward" it actually barely gives you more value per dollar, the difference is there but it's quite small ($30 > $50 > $15 > $100 > $5 = $1). Yes, IF YOU BUY TANIUM AFTER THE FIRST PURCHASE, it's better to buy a $50 pack twice than $100 once, just see for yourself. And for $300 it's just better to buy $30 one 10 times instead of buying $100 3 times (19800 > 19440, info for giga whales but if you are spending that much, i guess you won't care about 360 extra Tanium and just save you some time, lol, unless..?). So again, how did you calculate that? You didn't show anything, it's just a bunch of your numbers you didn't care to explain. Yes, Rookie Pack is *probably* the best buy for any player who just started and you *probably* took into account 5 gold pulls but you ignored 10 Red Nucleus from Collector's BP? Those Red Nucleus that are so damn valuable for a F2P player who will get these only from events and spending Dark Crystals only on them and nothing else? Again, you didn't show how you calculated the value but i can already see you did nothing and you don't take into account a lot of things so I have no idea how you became a game developer and I assume you were incompetent at your job. I'm not even going to bother explaining the August pack and Red Nucleus Pack, if you don't know how to use calculator/excel than don't make such videos, I'll just say that something like the Beta Pack (M) is not even 1.41, it's 0.41 because who will convert their tanium in 10 golden pulls? It's technically converting 1280 Tanium into 1800 Black Crystals, yes, but in fact it's one of the worst deals ever. TL:DR - convert your Tanium either in Red Nucleus/Chips or Black Crystals with a ratio more than 1:1. Converting Tanium 1:1 is the last thing you'll be doing, only if you purchased everything else and you have no other choice. And use your brain and calculator at least once, don't listen to people like this guy, always re-check everything yourselves.
@@tymagpoc6849 you mean the one for 2646 Tanium? Yes, it's probably one of the best if not the best way to convert Tanium to Black Crystals/Red Nucleus. I assume you are playing on Global but I'll give some CN info as well. See for yourself. Even buying them separately, you'll convert 60 Tanium to 90 Crystals and 180 to 120+red orb/chip (which is technically 120+150). Idk why this guy likes to count golden orbs but ignoring red ones. Yes, they are both cost 150 but golden are literally worthless, even if you are a giga whale, there's no point of buying gold orbs with crystals. Even if you want to upgrade standard weapons for black gold, you just wish on event banner and wait until you get conversion of flame gold to black gold. Anyway, just buy monthly cards and save your Tanium to buy it or something else eventually. I heard that there are even better deals in the Shop itself (well, that one "Limited Gift Pack" tab with August/September Gift Packs, Beta Packs, Nucleus Packs) but I couldn't find where I heard it so just keep that in mind and check it from time to time, also read notices from developers. It was way better on CN btw (at least in Winter, if it wasn't changed since then) - no red orbs/chips but it was cheaper (like 1500 Tanium) and it gave you more black crystals (60 -> 120 x2 + 120 -> 240). So on global it's 2646 -> 2310 + 2100 in chips/orbs On CN it's 1512 -> 3360 which %wise is better (2,2 > 1,6). So yes, it's cheaper on CN. Same things on global will cost you more. If you have more/other questions, feel free to ask, I'm still learning this game and trying to get as much info as I possibly can.
The adventure pack isn't worth it at all spending 5$ for just 10 yellow nucl and that's all not worth it for me. Best 5 things have a value are 1- Pass 10$ (Not the 20$) only if you care about cosmetics and you want the x10nucl {Buy it every month} Both are worth it but the higher value is in the 10$ not the 20$. 2- Monthly pass supplies 30days 5$ = 3000Dc + 300 Tanium {It is just worth it but don't stack it just buy it monthly cuz maybe you didn't continue playing the game that just for safety}. 3- Daily supply box only the {180T} just for the 120dc + 1red nucl. You will get 90dc more each day (Best in the value btw the 3 of them). 4- Rookie supplies 1time purchase it is worth it only for 1$. 5- Limited gift pack only the first 3 {x1nucl + x2nucl + x10nucl} The rest only worth it if you want a limited Ssr matrics. Everything else is a personal preferences if you want to get any of the rest in the store it is up to you but for a {Low spender} those are the best you can think about Gl and Hf :)
6:04 Why is this low value? 10 red pulls for 11$ is like 91 pulls for 100%, which is even better value than the first Tanium purchase that gives additional same value of Black Crystals. I would say, if you like the skin, go for it.

It was way better on CN btw (at least in Winter, if it wasn't changed since then) - no red orbs/chips but it was cheaper (like 1500 Tanium) and it gave you more black crystals (60 -> 120 x2 + 120 -> 240).
So on global it's
2646 -> 2310 + 2100 in chips/orbs
On CN it's
1512 -> 3360 which %wise is better (2,2 > 1,6).
So yes, it's cheaper on CN. Same things on global will cost you more.
If you have more/other questions, feel free to ask, I'm still learning this game and trying to get as much info as I possibly can.
So.. collector's pass, daily supply box and Red nucleus pack (S) give the most value if u only want red nucleus right?
@@bamboo9666 Yes, however I have no idea if they'll change Collector's BP rewards so be careful with that
@@roriko8743 one think about collector pass that i dont understand is "increase pass level by 30", it add another 30 lvl or instant up to lvl 30?
"What pond to pick based on your fish size"
Anyone else *only* calculate based on red nuclei per dollar? Literally no other items in packs matter to me
For me the daily shop (60 +180 taninum) and Red nuclear pack (S) give the most value if u only want red nuclear
they have skins for sale in the outfit section 1280 tanium for a skin
Appreciate the info
Kinda sucks the bp stops at 180 and doesn't refresh or anything
Fantastic video!
Yo Drybear do you still play Paladins?
Very useful!
:D
The adventure pack isn't worth it at all spending 5$ for just 10 yellow nucl and that's all not worth it for me.
Best 5 things have a value are
1- Pass 10$ (Not the 20$) only if you care about cosmetics and you want the x10nucl {Buy it every month} Both are worth it but the higher value is in the 10$ not the 20$.
This is actually better value than most, if not all, of the limited gift packs, so no idea why it's on the bottom.
>$11 for 10 limited banner pulls
>worst value
what the fuck am I listening to
Lol I got the collectors edition for the relic
I'm not getting ripped off it seems
alright Rory, been following you since like 2014 Smite up til your Netflix cameo but this video is not it.
What’s your job now
Bruh in US 11 dollars the collectors pass and in EU its 20 euros means we paying almost double the price wtf is this, and i wonder the Latin american countries.
I think it's because he already has the advanced pass so it's an upgrade. For me it's $20.
@@IAmAzarath ah ok didnt see that part good point though, but still 20$ kinda feels expensive idk feels to me the rewards no high enough, but im just a new player dont know the value of the items they give.
Collectors edition has higher value
It’s $10 for 10 red nucs and cosmetics. You have the small red nucleus pack rated high but it’s $15 for 10 red nucs. $10 for 10 + cosmetics sounds much better than $15 for 10 + nothing
@@nanashi4147 15$ for 10 + battle pass..
I'm not spending more than $20 a month, becoming a whale takes away all the fun.
You'd be ripped off. By a game hiding the fact it stole off other games.
it doesn't exactly hide it.
Which game? You better not be talking about Genshin Impact which was made off of a stolen engine from Japan.
@@radicalrandy2 If you mean game engine. No? Genshin is made in Unity.
If you somehow used the wrong word and meant it stole from Botw. No?
Just because some things are similar to another game, be it ToF, Genshin or any other game, doesnt mean that its stolen.
@@Fruchti It's common knowledge they stole the engine from Nintendo and added gacha elements. If it's made in Unity fine, but the layout and infrastructure was designed by Nintendo. This is most obvious with character movement and hovering/climbing. China does this all the time. I think most people don't understand how much stealing goes on in China and don't understand their finders keepers type business culture.
Its under investigation for serveral.
game lost my interest with this monetization but nice video :D
Why? You can get plenty of gold nucleus to get SSR characters, as well as black nucleus (but with a smaller chance) still. You can enjoy the game either way. In fact after 30 rolls in the gold nucleus banner you get an SSR. And obviously another one after 80 once the pity hits.
Also, this is all as a free to play player.
@@ILikeWhatILike69 Not everyone likes or appreciates Gacha models.
@@0Charb Why would this person watch a tutorial about buying packs in a gacha game and then say they hate gacha games? Do you have a lot of time? Even if this person is talking about MMORPGs in general, pay to win still exist in those like battle pass or even better weapons unobtainable in free to play.
@@zubleo8590 A lot of people watch videos, before deciding to try a game. They didn't like what they saw, it's their opinion and preference. I'm not sure if you're trolling or naturally curious.
Nah I'm genuinely curious why someone looking to play an MMORPG say they lost interest because there is monetization in that particular game. It's literally a free game and they obviously need money to run it properly. It's obvious that their opinion is kinda misplaced. You guys can have your opinion and I have my own judgement of your opinion too. You speculated that the guy was talking about not appreciating gacha models when the guy only talked about hating the paying part in the game which is actually completely optional.
