Sod any "Catholic" who is against what Harrison said. There will be women, Catholic and no, who are breathing sighs of relief because someone for the first time ever has told them their natural desires to be wives and moms are ok.
Harrison spoke about how quickly the bishops closed churches during covid. He is correct in saying the message was that the sacraments don't matter. Jesus is really, truly present in the Eucharist. We must have faith in that and we show that by keeping Churches open during a pandemic like covid. Bishops denied last rites during covid and many people died without this sacrament. Many bishops will have to account for this on their day of judgment before the Lord. I shudder to walk in their shoes.
Families are the building block of a society and hope of the world. Dysfunctional family, dysfunctional schools, and dysfunctional society. We need people to speak up for families.
Our Diocese in eastern Kansas sends most of our young men entering priestly formation to the Catholic seminary in Denver. As a faithful member of the laity, I must say that if the NFL does not share the family values of Christianity anymore then what “values” do they have? Other NFL players have committed heinous crimes off the field- rape, drug crime, murder, and more. The NFL is mostly about “money.” But we cannot serve God and money. 😊😊😊. Good for Harrison for taking a stand for wives, mothers, and families! 👍
Harrison, you were born for this. Your talent, your position, and your understanding of the faith have given you the platform for this moment. Thank you for accepting the call.
They should, because he is absolutely right!! If Catholics use NFP with a contraceptive mentality, with the goal of preventing pregnancy is morally wrong!
Most of the people complaining about his speech are either non-Catholics or cafeteria Catholics and thus they do not agree with the true Catholic teachings.
The religious sisters who said he does not represent the ideals of Benedictine College are the kind that don’t wear habits. they resemble more of the nuns on the bus than traditional actual nuns.
"Cafeteria Catholics" are not Catholics at all. You either believe everything which the Catholic Magisterium teaches or you do not and so are not Catholic at all. The correct word for "cafeteria Catholics" is heretics.
He's a football player, for Pete's sake, not some great orator. His thoughts were inspired by the Holy Ghost but spoken in Harrison's own words. He is SSPX right now as many of us once were. Not everyone is at your level.. His is a voice in the wilderness.
@@TheGenoveva7 I think that’s who runs the oratory in Kansas City, Missouri, and he lives in the Kansas City area. I think St. Mary’s Kansas is too far away for him to travel for mass (That’s where the SSPX has their big Immaculata church). The downtown oratory is probably a lot closer for him. I think it might be ICKSP.
I don’t think he is outside or beyond the Truth, but, I was far less impressed. I don’t know, did he make any mention at all of the Blessed Mother of God? If he did then maybe he is a little closer to being “completely” Catholic. Guess I just don’t have the same optimism. So yes “Bishop” Baron, he gives great respect to him. Was that charity or cowardess? Ignorance? Oh well, respectfully disagree on this one.
+JMJ. He attends the TLM. That means he's very close to our Blessed Mother. In the TLM as opposed to the NO, it's OK to be Catholic and pray the Holy Rosary and Novenas. With his bold words to deficiencies in the leadership of the hierarchy as well as his awareness that he would be frowned upon in the nfl, I wouldn't be to concerned about cowardice. Harrison is a lion for the one holy, catholic and apostolic faith.
@@brianbacon5149 The TLM has three significant references to Our Lady. The NO has none. All references to the Blessed Mother were removed so as not to offend Protestants.
@Mar--Mar +JMJ. Yes Our Blessed Mother is prominent in the Confiteor which is recited after the prayers at the foot of the altar by priest and then acolytes. She is mentioned twice again when the Confiteor is repeated before the Ecce Agnus Dei. She is mentioned prominently in the Credo, the Canon and in the Libera Nos. Finally she has 4 Leonine prayers devoted to her at the conclusion of Mass when most of the faithful at a Novus Ordo Mass are long gone. You are right that the NO gives scant devotion to the Queen of Heaven. It's why the "NO system " is failing while the TLM is thriving. Mother and Son are giving us the grace of correction. Happy Pentecost!!!
I listen to the speech twice I listen to commentaries too many times, and I can’t listen to this one. I’m sorry. However, he was just speaking of his own belief system to a school whose beliefs system is supposed to be similar. He was not trying to tell the whole world be Catholic. He talked about his situation and shared it with others because he thought it was the right. Good way to do things. That’s all. Everybody has to make a big fuss about this. It’s ridiculous
I was raised Catholic and found his speech disturbing to say the least. Seems to me, nowadays more Catholics are being influenced by the nutty evangelical extremists.
Until recent times, everything this guy said was believed and professed by all Catholics. That you found his speech “ disturbing” is disturbing to me since it indicates a departure and a rejection of the orthodox teachings of the Catholic Faith. How exactly were you raised Catholic ?

May the previous blood of Jesus Christ protect Harrison and his beautiful family. As a catholic l am so proud of this young man .from England Uk

There are numerous Catholics stuck in the Novus Ordo "system," including ecclesiastics. That was a very uplifting speech.

I listened to the whole speech on another channel; he did a great job. He deserved the standing ovation that he got.
Harrison Butker for president!❤
God bless this man. 🙏 ❤
The sound of the outtake video does clear up at about a quarter of the way through, y'all! Hang in there; well worth the listen!
Thanks! I'm 8 minutes in and was going to ask about it.

great show. you should do more of this with your Dad.
Agree with Kevin,we need to support fellow Catholics, even if they're Indult or SSPX.

Chris Stefanick put out a tweet which criticized Harrison Butler's discernment and wisdom...why would a supposed Catholic speaker/writer do that?
Who's Chris Stefanick?

I wouldn't be surprised if 'Francis of Rome' excommunicated him from the new church of Rome !
The Sspx in Germany made a video when the lockdowns started saying we are closing as we can't afford getting sued.
Interesting, because in the USA, the SSPX sued the government during the LOCKDOWN. Fr. Kevin Robinson was on Tucker Carlson. We won.

very choppy, is that your or mine?
Sadly I guess it was mine. While recording, it was no problem for me.
This reminds me of Vassula, who said she felt so horrible about her sins that she wanted to be cut up into little pieces and thrown to the hyenas.
Harrison is a TLM Catholic in every sense. He is not a Novus Order Catholic… nor a SedeVic
