- In this video, I'm diving into some intuitive painting using Golden Soflat Acrylic Matte paints. I decided to create a series of four mini abstracts, keeping things simple with a minimal color palette. I had a blast experimenting with different tools to apply the paint, and you'll definitely notice a bright splash of color in there. When you did the closeups at the end I could see what you were so enthusiastic about. From a distance they just looked flat but up close they come alive.

I was thinking it would be cool to add a different, bold accent color to each square. I don’t know… that might be a dorky idea, but I’m doing it!
In fact, I’m particularly delighted today because I’ve been invited to do an art activity with a group of 14-18 year old boys at our church. Lo, and behold! What activity do you think I’m doing?! THIS one! 🎉. They’re going to 🤩 love it! I’ll have everyone collage their favorite scripture. They’ll make a set, so they can give one or two away as gifts.

Denise thank you for all you do! The Fineline applicators bottles you recommended........do they clog? I have a shoebox full that do!
The fineline bottles have a long needle that goes down in the tip when the lid is on - so I’ve not had any clogging! 😊

Denise, have you ever tried water soluble oil paint?
Yes, I have some. I don’t do traditional oil painting, I like the oil & coldwax painting - and I don’t like the way it mixes with the coldwax - so I don’t care for it. I’m sure it is fine for regular painting. 😊
