I'm one of the electrical engineer of this tool's motor design. In this tool, we use a new platform motor which can provide much more power. Glad to see you enjoy it!
Really??? Thats amazing that you found my video. Well thank you for making a kick ass blower!!!
Question for you then since your an engineer: do the Flexvolt batteries (which are wired to output 20V Max to 60V Max) contribute to overheating of the 20V Max Tools?
@@treebossmike8818 I'm responsible for brushless motor developing, you may (or not) feel the 20V tool a little bit hotter using FlexVolt battery. When we develop 20V power tools, we'll use FlexVolt battery, much longer time and much more critical working condition to test, so there's no risk of overheating.
@@treebossmike8818 wouldn't cause to overheat the 18v platform few videos pm youtube with testing
ua-cam.com/video/f5N30Q1qTaE/v-deo.html Are these types of video's handy for the design team to look at? Do you look at results like these and go hmm time to start work on gen 3? I'm quite curious. Thanks for stopping by btw.
Thanks for the review. I am using old 20V blower, and considering this. Old Flexvolt blower wasn't really my style so I am happy to see this.
I appreciate someone who keeps their tools clean
Right, it's like if I spend 300 bucks on a tool, I'm not going to trash it. I want it to last me a long time so I take care and clean my stuff.
Thanks for watching and happy new year
That thing is a beast My husband just got one, thanks for the review.
I bought mine cause of this video! Love it. I went from Canada to USA to get this model
That's awesome I'm glad I could help I hope you enjoy it as as much as I enjoy mine!!
Dewalt done did it again, the flexvolt line is beast all the way around no competition if you ask me . I do Construcion and Dewalt has been my best helper from day one . I’ll have to get that blower for my line up 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Yes I was very surprised at how nice it is.
Nice video man, you should totally review the Greenworks 60 volt stuff
Looks awesome!
THanks it is !!!!!
I can understand why DeWalt didn’t throw in the fast charger with the kit. The 9ah battery sells for $200 alone so if think about it, you’re paying $70 for just the blower.
The 270 dlls combo just come with the 3 Ah battery.
If you want the 9AH battery you have to buy the 398 dlls combo.
Isai Lopez toolnut has this blower with a 9 ah battery for $299.00
@@rumblebee0217 same battery.. It's rated 9ah at 20v and 3ah at 60v
Very nice.. Grats on your 2k subs
Great video. Team yellow!!!!!!!
Nice video m8
That thing is killer !!!!
Dewalt should make a backpack attachment adapter that allows two 12 or 9 amp hour battery to extended run time
Yes that would be nice
This thing is a cannon! woow ! tnks
i am still Happy with my 1st Gen 20v Dewalt Blower
now the 1st gen 20v Trimmer a Different Story
Hey great video and demonstrations. Very helpful. Was kind of on the fence but it looks like I will be runnin to Home Depot tomorrow to make the purchase. So thanks. Oh, btw, not trying to mak fun of you (ok maybe a little) but I think the word your looking for is “gripe”? Not grump. Or maybe you meant to say grump what the hell do I know lol. Good day. Thanks again
I am not sure I cant remember, But thanks for watching and I am glade I could help you make your decision !!!! I will be putting out the Greenworks 60 volt blower video shortly too. So stick around you may want to see how that one is too!!
Hi,
I have the EGO 580 for my house work and that thing rocks. I also have the milwaukee gen 2 m18 blower for work to clean up the job site area and tools. I like how the milwaukee tube comes off easy with the button on the bottom. The back will catch your shirt if you are not careful. Maybe gen 3 will have a cover like this DeWalt blower.
Does the new DeWalt flexvolt blower tube come off easy? I do like that the fan is coverd. DeWalt needs to make this same style for their 20v line blower. It will be smaller but it can match the milwaukee gen 2 blower specs. Not everyone is on the flexvolt line. Looks cool.
Thanks for the video
yeah kind of you have to pinch in the sides and it will pop off, I also want to try the Milwaukee gen 2 blower I almost got that instead.
Dewalt makes me go broke! I have 2 blowers...and want this one too!!!
I love this blower!!!
Battery only lasted about 10 minutes for my first time using it. Was using full power, but still. Will take it back and get less power, more runtime
Yeah its kind of a catch 22, did you use the 12.0ah battery or the 6.0ah battery??
@@Impact-OG I used the 12.0 battery. Thought about it again, and decided to keep it. Used it throttled down and it lasted longer, and I think I will just use it for quick yardwork, not for doing a full yard at a time. Still so much better than all the trouble with gas powered equipment.
@@jeddymo7052 NIce, I really like it, Its one of the most powerful hand held blowers on the market. I had so many leaf's and stuff in my yard I needed a heavy duty blower.
Good review. Sounds like a Shop-Vac. A little disappointed that they're now advertising that it comes with a 3.0Ah Battery on the Home Depot website.
A 3.0Ah battery is the same thing as a 9. It just means that in a 20v tool it will be a 9.0Ah and in a 60v tool it will be a 3.0Ah
how does this compare to the Model # DCBL770X1
Most of the cost is for the battery. But go with the kit with the battery because the extra batteries come in handy.
I just got one of these at the end of April, saw one hiding on an upper shelf at a Home Depot. Great blower, I have 2 gripes, the lame charger (the 115 charger, which they ship with all the 60volt OPE products), and run time, the 9ah give me roughly 15 minutes or so. Could be a bit longer... I don’t own a 12ah battery so not sure how much longer you would get out of that.
Derek Totin all blowers are thirsty on the batteries
Can you mention the model please, is it a dcmba or dcmbl and the number it is
Damm I have the dewalt 40v, bit now I want the 60v I have couple batteries for it, dewalt is stealing all my money 😜
How long do you. Get out of 1 battery good video
I want to say with the 9.0ah it was 15 -18 min none stop. Blowers always suck down the juice fast. Thanks for watching man
What makes it different from Gen 1 and Gen 2?
How much did it cost
How does this compare to the existing 60v blower?
Way better, I really like it, this one is 600 cfm, what's the old one?? 530?? I cant remember
Mate check ego power blower lb5800 580CFM and 168MPH. This is power 💪💪💪
So I am wounding about these ratings, so it can move 600 cfm, but its only 125, were the other ones say 575 but 168 mph something doesnt add up here. You know what i mean
Making Stuff and Breaking Stuff with Al
Yes... It's simply IMPOSSIBLE to move things faster, but less in total, when the opening size is about the same.
So, I believe it's either EGO's tube has smaller opening, or rated MPH with narrow tube and CFM without.
Does anyone know when the UK 54V equivalent is going to be available for purchase?
I thought it was already out? So I'm not sure sorry man.
Yeah, it got released just before Christmas. I actually bought it. It’s very powerful. The batteries don’t last long however, even on 12AH.
Available now
Nice! But I think it is too heavy for me 😩
It is a little heavy after using for awhile. Thanks for watching
Can you use 20v batteries?
No not on this model
Do you know how many decibels is it?
No I cant remember, it had a odd pitch to it, its lower but also had a high Squeal to it. Thanks for watching
🤘🇷🇺
Be cool to see a comparison against the victor 82 volt? Have used that before and it crazy powerful. I’m in the flexvolt line.
How long did the included battery last in your usage?
I really haven't done a none stop run time test, but I would say 15-25 min
Fast charger isn’t good for battery life however. If you are using in a business and time is money, then longer term cost factor isn’t as important.
How much it cost for that in store
its about 240
$269 + tax at Home Depot. It’s not on Amazon, Acme, etc. as of today.
Slower charging is better for the battery.
Yes that is a topic that is still being studied for the longevity of the battery. Thanks for watching
well they want you buy rapid charger separately obviously.
As you were demonstrating the blower has weak power and is no better than the older model. Dewalt still haven't made the newer model with a turbo blaster like many of the other brands. They didn't even include the attractive nose piece like the previous model. I see no improvement in this newer model and you had trouble blowing that small mound of damp sand and the other debris. I don't see how you can comment ''holy cow'' what a powerful blower. I like Dewalt power tools but would not recommend none of their blowers.
Sorry bud the ego is more powerful it also is 600cfm and 145mph instead of 125.
Are u sure I thought it was 575??
Making Stuff and Breaking Stuff with Al
New model LB5800 580CFM and 168MPH instead of 125
Yes the model that sells in Home Depot has the 600 cfm and it’s Been out for a while now.
Measure Diameter for EGO tube, 12:03 3-1/2" inside diameter
Now it's 650 cfm/180 mph

Ya that “piece of crap charger” will make ur batteries last so much longer the faster you charge the battery the quicker you will kill the batteries life span I won’t use the fast chargers they destroy ur batteries life
Yes you are correct, but when your working on your yard its nice to be able to charge your battery in an hour, and not have to wait 2 and hald hours for it.
01:18 NOT more powerful than EGO backpack.
EGO backpack 600 CFM X 145MPH = 87000
EGO handheld 580 CFM X 168 MPH = 97440
Dewalt 600 CFM x 125 MPH = 75000 YOUR STATEMENT IS FALSE.
