Lazy Daisy cake was my mom's favorite when she was growing up. She made the cake much as you do, but for the topping, she boiled the butter, milk, and brown sugar to the soft boil stage, let it cool and beat it until it began to set (like you'd make fudge), and poured it over the cake. She then scattered chopped walnuts on the top. No coconut.
I just found your channel. I love how you show the recipe listed as it would be on a card. I'm able to pause video and easily copy it. Love the title and logo for your channel too. So cute. I've viewed and copied 3 recipes so far and looking forward to trying all three. Ignore any of the silly negative comments. They're just unhappy people. You're doing great. Keep it up. I'm sure your Gran and I would have been fast friends. Hugs from another grandma. ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words...im still learning how to do this whole video thing, so there are gonna be mistakes etc...I can't stress too much, only gonna get better 😁
@@thenoblecrumb You're doing great and guess what, even when you've perfected your channel, there will still be critics and trolls, that's just a part of life. Pay them no mind. I subbed and thank you very much for the recipe, cheers.
I subscribed after I made your grandmother's poor man's pudding. It was so easy to prepare and it tasted wonderful. I am looking forward to making more of your grandmother's recipes. Thanks for sharing.
Great video. I will definitely give this cake a try it looks delicious. I’m a new subscriber as of today and I’m finding a lot of goodie’s on your channel thank you.
I say this with the best of intentions. You ought to provide at least the ingredients in the contents section (and why not the recipe). Nobody wants to wait for the ingredients to be listed in the video, whether they are wanting to make the product or simply want to know if it is for them, even after having watched it or saved it. Thanks.
Screen shot the recipe card in the beginning. I think that’s the BEST way of giving the ingredients..! The instructions should be added to a third card..! Love his recipes..! I copy and paste the pics into my NOTES with the link so I can see the video..!

Is there anything that I can use in place of the coconut for the topping? I can’t have coconut, but this looks really good!
You might want to try some slivered or chopped nuts. I think I'm going to add either some pecans or macadamia nuts and try it myself.
Yummmmmmm.
So good...I love this cake
I find the recipe rather hard to read.
