- Something a little different whilst I decompress after TLOU but don't worry we are back next time with TLOU II... This felt like such a sweet tribute to Greek grandma's everywhere, learning from your mistakes, remembering the past and thinking ahead about what is right in the here and now. I will see if my YiaYia wants to go for a walk next time I see her...

This is so wholesome Anna. Thanks for sharing your memories and heritage. It is important to embrace our heritage and remember where we come from. And with saying that. This reminds me of a lot of cherished memories I hold dear to my heart with my grandad and Granny. They also had a cute story as immigrants coming from Ireland to the United States of America. They both left their families and came across a boat and met each other on Ellis Island. Got married and established/extension of the Reilly clan, in New Jersey. My grandad passed away when I was younger but my Granny is still alive. And well what can I say she is still holding strong on to the Irish pride. Never lost her accent fully. And love her oh so dearly. My favorite memory as a kid is having tea time and biscuits. She would always say and still does to this day. Say. "Emily? be a dear, and put on the kettle for some tea, and some biscuits out of the tin." Where we would always have a chat or two about her memories in Ireland as a girl. Or showed me her trips back home and pictures of my family members in Ireland. Some day I would love to visit and establish my roots and meet more of the clan. But What I admire the most is that she is the person who taught me the importance of hospitality. And will always hold that dearly to my heart.

Man I was just thinking about my yiayia and I saw this....😭😭 Yellin 'same' the whole time to both you and the game. Really was a little walk with yiayia but not the one i thought I'd be walking with 😭😭😭 Bout to grab the game now. Refuse to believe diaspora didn't make this with how accurate it is
Also propappou (προπάππους) is the equivalent of great-grandfather. Its more like "grandpa before yours" :)
Oh gosh, this was such a lovely game and play through!! After a hectic week, I love how calm and poignant this was; from the reflective dialogue to the rippling grass around the neighborhood. Narrative games are truly wonderful to play and watch, and it was just so cool to see that this game represented some really important elements from your own life. Thank you for sharing your play through! :)

Hi Anna! Thank you for the wonderful playthrough! This was a really sweet and heartwarming experience. I think it hits very close to home for all of us coming from Greece or Cyprus. Also, your accent when you pronounce Greek words is the cutest thing, I swear!

I was raised by my grandmother who was also born in 1932 and her health took a turn when i was 14 and i had to take care of her as she was on a walker and had balance issues and fell alot. She taught me to cook and we would bake together, it was some of my favorites memories. She passed 7 years ago and this playthrough made me think of her. Thank you for this playthrough and sharing apart of your life with us.
I'm a little German don't know many words but I had a great Oma and Opa my opa past away when I was 5 he couldn't remember anyone but my Oma she had a massive back yard, me and my sister would have walks with her in the backyard. My favourite thing was she had a mandarin tree they were amazing she past away 2 years ago when I was 12. It was my first funeral we were on holidays when my opa passed away dad told us after so it wouldn't ruin our time I'm happy he did that.
