I sit in the dark watching this and it gives me the chills. My heart races so much throughout this game. I love how you get so drawn in emotionally, because it really brings the character to life. Love this game

The developers said it is Iceland but I couldn't say which locations are in the game. My favorite part is the lava, good video😊
This was such an amazing and emotional episode, the writing and the visuals are just breathtaking. I honestly have no idea how they can progress the graphics and tech further then this. This was made on Unreal Engine 5 by the way. Hope you are having a wonderful vacation Anna.

I liked the idea of having monsters originate from some kind of trauma, using powerlessness & despair as a motive to reach for dubious forms of power is an interesting and believable angle. It reminds me of the way apostles originate in Berserk as well (If you're unfamiliar: it's a manga, truly great story, but I can't recommend it without adding every single content warning in existence😂)
I specifically appreciate how this idea can be tied back to the first game, where the confrontation of Hela can be re-interpreted as Senua defeating the giant-manifestation of herself, defeating the grief that haunted her and accept herself.
But in that context, the extended cast perceiving the giants makes the Senua-story somewhat confusing to me, I feel hesitant to try and parse that fully😅

@1:28 You should watch the excellent British cave-based horror film, "The Decent". That's probably the inspiration for the clicky cave draugr. They are virtually the same monster. The game makes a couple of other references to the movie elsewhere as well. Although, the best reference to that movie I've ever seen in games is the scene of Lara wading nose-deep in the underground pool of blood in Tomb Raider 2013. :D

I could never figure out if the combat had a stamina mechanic. It seems like it might. If you roll too many times, Senua seems to stumble. The same with blocking. After a certain number, she seems fail the next one. So I guess, if she keep blocking red attacks, her stamina decreases more quickly. But because there's no interface on the screen, this is all ambiguous. I suppose it's cool, because it encourages you to read her body language and stuff. But it's something I never quite clicked with, so I found the combat a bit frustrating.
