I bought two FM-9 complete lowers and two uppers. One 16" upper and bought a stock to make a carbine for the one. The other a 7" and SBA3 pistol brace for it to be a pistol.
I contacted Primary Arms and Foxtrot Mike, because it was confusing on what lower as needed for what (pistol/rifle).
Both told me, that the lowers from FM are registered as "other", so that means you can build a rifle or pistol from the same lower. You have to make sure you have a brace on it if using under 16" barrels, or you have an illegal SBR without a stamp.
I have been looking for a video like this... I wanted to see a FM9 build ... 💪💯💯
I took my FM9 REAR changing apart for the 1st time to clean off the jelly and oil, like they said. Oiled it all real good, but I had no idea how to reassemble it. Upside-down, backwards, where are the instructions? 😢 I saw the quick video for the front side charging FM9, but not the rear. I would like to see a slow motion with close ups on how to reassemble. 😂 Thanks, Sincerely!

Does anyone know where exactly you are supposed to oil the FM9 before breaking it in? The part2 video doesn't show it either.

Good Question...I just got one yesterday and there is NO OWNER MANUAL included with the firearm!! It came with a "Quick Start Guide" that does NOT give any instructions for dismantling this firearm or other most important maintenance information! This is the first firearm I have ever purchased, in the last 50 years, that did NOT come with a detailed manual of instructions for breakdown, parts identification and maintenance!! I will be calling the manufacturer on Monday for this most important manual!

mtower235 steel and brass are fine apparently!
I just got my Fm9 and in the booklet, for leisure shooting, it suggests using:
1) Tula 115gr FMJ Steel cased
2) Wolf 115gr FMJ steel cased

The 8.5”, 10.5”, and 16” upper receivers use an ambidextrous, non-reciprocating forward charging handle, the 5" cannot be order that way.
It is been almost 7-8 months since you’ve reviewed this product. Do you still recommend it? I am always concerned about the reliability or compatibility or FM9. Been thinking to mate it with PSA PX-9 forged complete lower.
I absolutely still recommend it! Very well built and reliable. It runs everything I feed it!
Does it run any 9mm Glock mag. I wanna buy the g17 33 round. Will it fit ?

Can’t decide........ 5” or 7” upper!!!!!! The 7 comes with the tri-lug mulled into the barrel.
I got the 5" then bought the 7" upper. Problem solved 😅
@@Voltis-5 I ended up going 7” w/ tri-lug. Couldn’t b happier. I’ll next look for a can that shoots 9 and subs in 300 Blackout.
