For the next installation on our Forgotten Fastback project Mustang, we're going to finish off the body work with a front and rear valance. These valances for 1964, 1965 or 1966 Mustangs are quality reproduction sheet metal pieces, featuring a corrosion-resistant black primer finish.
To install the front valance, assemble necessary hardware u-nuts to the valance and the other correct u-nuts to the body of your Mustang, as demonstrated by Bill. You'll then hang the valance in place and secure.
For the rear valance, you'll use eleven screws across the top and two studs in the brackets at the bottom. Place the valance on the rear of the Mustang, lining it up in its correct position and then tighten all screws. Total installation for both valances takes around an hour and a half.

We did a front spoiler for the 70 but have not done the valances. If we get a good candidate in the shop I will make sure we shoot it.
so kool. i just got these for my fastback,
This is exactly what I was searching for. I have a 70 Mach 1 that I"m needing to put this tailpiece on. However, the quarters and this lower panel do not match up exactly. Sort of like yours here. So what do you do to fill in this big gap? Any suggestions? Please respond, anyone. Thank you.
What size are the front tires on that car? Will 225/60 15's work on the front?
what's the piece name on top the valance. the one that screws/connects with it. the piece you out the screws first
Wish I could change out my 65 coupes back valance, it doesnt even have bolts to undo and its flush with my quarters...
You’re installing the stud on the rear valance incorrectly. The base of the stud goes through the hole and the clip part should be on top and it clips in against the bracket in the circular hole. No tape or weld needed!
Chris Wilson maybe thats why my maverick rear looks like crap
Chris Wilson exactly!
Took the words out of my mouth. Plus, there are other fasteners on the car like that and I'm assuming they're assembling them wrong as well. Not good when you're showing thousands of people how to put this stuff together and doing it wrong...smh
@@leea.3772 Thanks for the heads up. Reinstalled my rear valance today with new hardware. Had to open up the slots on the valance for the head fastener because either the square on the fastener was too big or the slot on the valance was too small. It's all good now!
you got that right.....
hi bill from cj pony parts
Hi! I love the videos! Does the rear valance fit on a 65 HT?
Yes all three body styles use the same valances.
Does CJ sell those studs with the square tops?
Man what did you do different because mine does NOT go on that easily
Your helper looks just like you.
He is kinda a PITA though so we don't let him talk much
Will the front and rear valence fit on a maverick without to much customizing
Its a completely different car so I doubt it.
Interesting cause they both are similar in with and mounting points
You forgot to install the bumperette hangers under the rear valance.
