Hi Barry, I just reassembled the front sheet metal on my 66. Sure enough, I need to make the same alteration to the stone guard that you did here. Has I not seen this video, I wouldn’t have even considered fixing it. Thanks again for all your support and education. Gary
If the people making these parts were following this build they would learn about quality control . You do an excellent job explaining the problem and the needed repair. Thanks for taking us along. Tom
Yes, I think you should make a tee shirt with" im happy with that "with a smiley face or something on it.Awesome idea. I want one!
this one was a lot of fun to watch. you're a regular wizard!
Very nice. I don't feel so bad about working all day on a 4 inch patch.
I think this may be your favorite part of working on these projects. You like the process of seeing the challenge, envisioning a solution, then working the metal. Then having the satisfaction of accomplishment and to be able to say: "I'm happy with that." Thanks so much for sharing!
'tis true. It allows for some ingenuity and creativity. Metal work is my favorite part.
I’ve watched whole series on the Brooklyn pony and lately as you run into fitment issues I am trying to figure out what needs to be done before you say it to see if I’m learning anything. I now feel much more comfortable tackling problems with my project
Great job! My original stone guard is a little bit short on one side. About 3/16" The angle is correct, just short. If I push on the bottom of the fender to match it up it throws off my fender to hood gap and I have that set up very nice so I don't wanna mess around with it. So I have to cut it and move it over like you said earlier in the video. I hope I can get my filler piece to match the contours of the original. We'll see!
Ah the joys of metal work and panel shaping. Looks great and very informative, I can live with that and hopefully remember all the techniques when I get to that point on mine. Keep the videos coming, they are helping me get through all the issues with my 73 Fastback.
Good job Barry 👍🏻
I’ve learned so much from your videos. Thank you
I love all the detail. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Excellent as always. Well put: "The goal is to have nobody notice"...patience is required but worth every minute in the end...I wish I had an ounce of patience. Love the t-shirt idea!
Did you notice the hat?
@@JoDaddysGarage NO!!! Thanks for "tipping" me off! Looks way better on you than me...
lol
Again! Absolutely amazing work sir! So good to see master craftsmanship still alive and well today!
I've been doing repairs on my car that I'm restoring for the last year orso and it's great to see somone else doing patches and shaping the same way. It gives me confidence in myself to do these jobs. Thank you.
You are a master! The little things you do to ‘tidy up’ parts fit is inspirational to us all. I like the idea of ‘I can live with that’ on a t-shirt!
Nice work. Turned out really good.
Great idea for your shirt “I’m happy with that”
A good friend of mine, a perfectionist build always says “When perfect is close enough”.
Yes I mentioned to you ages ago that you needed a T shirt with "Jo Daddy's Garage, I'm Happy With That!" So yes a very good idea lol :)
That's where I got the idea. It popped into my head as I was making the video. If I make them, you'll get the first one, free.
Always love your work. I'm building a 1964 1/2 and your work is always helpful because I run into some of the same issues and am able to work them out more easily because of your work. You're very good, thanks!
Looks great. Tshirt "I'm happy with that" sounds great. Enjoyed the vid.
Great job as always 👍
Thank you very much for showing us how to make the aftermarket stuff look and fit better than the original.
The T shirt idea sounds cool. :-)
You are a wonderful teacher Barry. I always look forward to your next class.
Seriously brilliant. Simple approach to deal with a problem without it getting overcomplicated .. Thx for doing this! Looks better than good enough..just right.
Awesome video, as always!
The T-shirt idea...
I'm happy with that 👍
Jo Daddy, you're doing a great job with these videos, you're helping me out a lot with my 67 Mustang Fastback, thanks a lot.
Beautiful work, love the vids
Another great video, can’t wait to see that car in paint, silver blue was the original color of my ‘65 and I’ve been considering going back to that color.
THANK YOU...for sharing. Very nice fix. I would be happy with that.
I'm happy with that - too!
Hey , Thanks for all the "GOOBER" out takes at the end of your Video's, Nice to see your Human !!! Thanks , Jim from JBLM, WA
No problem. I'm just another human... you should see me type.....
@@JoDaddysGarage :-) have a great Turkey Day Bear, !!
@@jamescaldwell7393 Thanks! You too!
Great work, thanks for sharing your experience. You make it look too dam easy.
I enjoy all the work you look forward to your next video, great job can't wait to see it done and running!!!
Thank you again for another great video! You are a metal magician! I hope that these companies that make these crappy parts are watching. Maybe they can start making better parts. Love the T-shirt idea. This is going to be one sweet ride! Can’t wait to see the finished product.
I really enjoy your videos. Fantastic work you do. Really appreciate your attention to detail. Thanks!
Your knowledge and solution to problems you encounter is amazing. You do some impressive work.As always another job well done.By the way I’m an auto tech and I have a pair of those duck bill pliers.I use them all the time and I don’t know what I would do without them.Im happy with that t-shirt
What else could I say... 🤔Always a great pleasure to watch your videos...👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the video
I’m happy with that 👍🏼
Way to go!....amazing how a/m parts don't line up or take into account fitment. I like the t-shirt idea, how about "I can live with that!"
Great vid, as always! I’m done with body work stage on my car but it’s always fun to watch your work Barry!!
Great video, simple but effective fix, like the t shirt idea.
I'll buy the "I´m happy with that!" T-shirt :-)
Great video, a good inspiration to all of us working on mustangs and other cars too. Keep up the good work!
Great work as always!
Another great video Barry. Some people might say you take it a little to far with your constant tweeking and massaging of these panels. But in the end the final product will speak for itself.
Great fit! It's amazing 👍
Im happy with that - with a mustang logo
Looks GREAT
Iron Man thumbs up and is happy with that too ;)
Nice work mate:)
Like the video and shirt idea
That's a good fitment just like the door on that 70 you did can't tell that is was modified to fit.
Thanks, very informative video👍👍
Dynacorn: *may require some work for better fitment.
After seeing Jo Daddy:-
Yea right.
Excellent
Why can't aftermarket body panels companies make products closer to factory? That part was garbage until you fixed it!
Finally figured out how to comment on videos
Is it possible that you would provide your subscribers a summary of how and from whom, you took this project on, in your next video? I believe alot of viewers may not realize that this is not your personal project, but one someone has commissioned you to do. Appears this person is supplying all the parts as they get shipped to you. But what is the agreed upon completion date and what are the terms of your services? I just thought this would be a worthy review to keep your subscribers, like me, informed. Love your work and attention to detail. Thank you for video 33. Looking forward to video 34 and the rest on the Brooklyn Pony.
Hmm.. I'll think about it. Thanks.
AWESOME!!!! Thanks!!
I'd be Happy with that too. Who's hat are you wearing?
I can't wait until I get to those things as well, I already know the rear valance is going to need some messaging too.
Hat was a gift from a subscriber.
Another very nice job. Your mig welder surely runs smooth. Do you still panel weld with a Lincoln 140T with .023 wire? What wire speed setting and temperature are you welding with?
Yes. The speed is usually at 2, and temp at "B".
@@JoDaddysGarage Thank You
I've asked this before and haven't received a response but you're over two years into this project and I was wondering, considering time invested, when do you see completing it? Additionally is the time frame based on the client's funding or your personal workload? Just curious, thanks.
Two years may be true, but the actual time working on this project is not two years. I don't track my hours, and I don't do this for a living. I try to point out that I work on my schedule, and funding is between me and the owner. I'd like to get it finished as soon as I can.
nice.
In for the T-Shirt.
I’m all in n for a t-shirt. I’m happy with that. Hey Gang! Great work. How long did it take to do the actual alteration? Gary
For both sides, less than 2 hours.
cool
Very nice work! What size wire are you using in the welder?
Thanks. .025" wire.
Nice😄
Barry Terry here. I'll take a t-shirt, great vid. What size wire do you prefer?
.025 for sheet metal.
lower front bumber is bad too
We should start a Class Action suit against these terrible part makers. The Valance panel should not expose edge of fender as rocks will chip the paint!
Nice work ! I KNOW you know this but wait till you get to the bumper brackets..EYYYYYY… Do yourself a favor? Find an original set. Aftermarket valence, rock guard and brackets are NOT a happy fit. Struggled for days working on a set ….friend gave me an original set of brackets...boop...right on with the bumper...LOL
Yeah .I can live with that.would be better.
hi good work.i got greg work shop on youtube now ,
CRAP!!!
Lose the toys , what are 6 .
Ah the joys of metal work and panel shaping. Looks great and very informative, I can live with that and hopefully remember all the techniques when I get to that point on mine. Keep the videos coming, they are helping me get through all the issues with my 73 Fastback.
