  • I share a tip that allows your line to go out further but still keep your guard on. To our knowledge, works on Stihl trimmers only.

    Nice hack on the trimmer Carl👍 !! I dont like my string super long but I like the increased maneuvering and less snagging of the guard. Another thing you should try is putting the ECHo speedfeed 400 on the 94, I put it on both mine and it is lighter than the STIHL AutoCut head also. Enjoy that 94r buddy!! Be safe and stay Happy y'all!!

    That’s a cool idea I never thought of setting it up that way. I run the RX and I had to cut off the bottom portion of the guard “ where the blade hits” so the line will stick out past it. It still works fine and offers protection. You almost have to do it that way with the RX. As long as u got 4 holes in your guard and gear head u should be ok to do that.

    Broccoli clears your arteries, so good for you. We even eat it raw chopped fine in our salads and our pups love it too. Blessings to you and yours ❤

      Yeah everyone likes broccoli but me. Chase only likes raw veggies. Thanks for watching!

      Yeah they are still here and we abandon that side of the farm. We lost about 58 plants to them over there. They don’t know where the main garden. I thought they did but it was the chickens that got some of the plants and all my ripe strawberries. The joys of a garden. Lol Thanks for watching!

    How do you get the energy to mow all day long? Do you drink anything special like Gatorade and where do you go if you have to relieve yourself and you can't wait to drive to a gas station? Do you go behind a shed? I'm serious and need your advice.

    • @happysfamilywnc
      @happysfamilywnc  3 роки тому

      Water and Gatorade and take breaks. We talk more about it in one of our upcoming videos. We don’t ever relieve ourselves at clients house, always go home or to a restroom. Thanks for watching!

      You can do what Carl suggested as long as you have a 4 hole mount guard on your trimmer. we’re it can offset back an give u an extra inch or so of line. I run the RX version which only has 2 screws on the guard. So I decided last season to try it a week without a guard. More shit does fly and kick up without it. So I took off the blade and cut off the bottom edge of the guard. Now I have protection from debris and now I control how long a line I have. So it’s like running without a guard, but with a guard. I judge by once I feel my line getting worn down I usually will tap it twice and that’s long enough for me it goes a little ways past the edge of the guard.

  • @thecuttingforce
    @thecuttingforce 3 роки тому

    I just leave them on. It runs better it cuts the string when you tap it. And it keeps some rocks from hitting me and objects... I think honestly the gards need to be bigger... its just me

    • @happysfamilywnc
      @happysfamilywnc  3 роки тому +1

      I like to be about a inch past the guard any further then that and it starts slow the head down and I’m my opinion it doesn’t cut as fine with the string way past the guard. Thanks for watching!

    I always keep the guard on, I hate it when professionals complain and bitch about the guard and they say that they take it off because the guard supposedly “wastes good line” and they also say that having the guard on “makes the engine overheat” which makes absolutely no sense to me
