Origin: Northern Mexico
Flower: orange
Description: Has green pads with very bright purple-pink edges. Can grow up to 10-12 inches tall. Each dot or tiny glochid has about 100 spines. Be careful when handling Opuntias.
Sun: Full sun to filtered bright light
Water: Once a week to every 10 days outdoors.
Frost: 20 °F

Damn it, I live in Atlanta Georgia. Hard finding cacti/succulents to grow both inside and out. Such a pretty cactus. Probably need to focus on all my babies I got already. Including myself, many plants, 3 cats, and a beautiful betta fish. Love that little bastard….. anyways desert jewel indeed. So beautiful. I’ll give you maybe…. 11/10 great job
