Hello 👋
Germans have engineering in their DNA, these are fine examples of what they're capable of. The technical wizardry behind these cars is staggering.
@Pierre-gu5vx i don't believe in Muhammed being a prophet. Kindly stop replying.
Their shit suck. Over engineered crap. Mercedes only last a couple years, we have MTUs that come from the factory as piles of shit meanwhile CAT works non stop
@@Joseph-kq9zc FMEA. depends on specific application, maintenance schedules etc...its a muti variate problem, too complex to simply say it "sucks" and across the board ? I don't think so, highly unlikely...are they over-engineered, possibly, but what they that mean for longevity ? That's an entirely different question with different measures to quantify that.
An avid merc owner for years. Will never change!❤awesome documentary👏

You should be. Congratulations. Very nice !
How many Euros per month is an average income there?
OMG please.... you clean toilets, make coffee....
That's good....can I ask you something?

Wonderful! I'm seriously impressed! But, the message is clear: this is how a perfect world should look like according to Mercedes! Magnificent!
I've been on the factory tour there, you get really close to the production line and the guide was a great laugh, he said if the bodyshell is more than 1mm out of specification, they send them to BMW lol. Free hi viz vests to take away as a souvenir too
The smart light projecting system is such a brilliant innovation. My mind was absolutely blown at the fact that it can project a crosswalk 😂
there is no better car maker but MERCEDES and I bear witness that Mercedes the messenger of car God ! + + + + + Jesus Crist ! @Pierre-gu5vx
With Audis light system you can play video games 😂
The three North American automakers could learn something from this plant, this is how you build quality cars, a far cry what is built in North America today.
The other 3 has a more reliable vehicle that doesn’t require expensive maintenance just to stay on the road
I rather by a more expensive car that will last. If you can't afford the maintance dont drive one. on the subject of North American cars being build is another subject, " Ford stands for fix or repair daily or found on the road dead, This is just one example, Most of the North American car technology come from the European cars.
@@r.m.9450 stop trying to win a argument without facts. European cars do not last as long as American or Japanese cars. European cars also lose their value at a higher rate due to low reliability and overpriced these a a fact
@@shaig2520 There is no argument, better build more luxury and greater quality, Let me tell you I know more about European cars then I think you do.
I know more about the European cars then you will ever know, Keep buying that North American car.
Please don't even compare a JAPANESE car to North American cars, no comparison there either.

This was fantastic. I guess what now piques my interest is how did they design the factory?

I used to work at Mercedes Benz work shop in 1977 as a mechanic I saw from 190 up to 600 the biggest,, one of the best cars in the world in my opinion this video is nice
Your opinion was valid during 70-ties but now it is not accurate.
They WERE the best cars in the world. I grew up in a W123. They don't make them like that anymore. Now they aspire to be as reliable as Hyundai.
Very impressive, a lot of engineering to make that factory flexible. 👍
I am using this documentary as an assignment (with a number of questions) for MBA students for the course "Technology and Operations Management" at Addis Ababa University. Thank you.
As AAiT graduate, this feels like as if I found Habesha in the states.
The machines they use for assembly is more complicated than a S-class itself.
I’ll have you know, I was about to go to bed. U snuck in my suggestions and because I love documentaries and how things work I fell for it. You will never get away with this. I also subscribed, this is war! ❤
Tesla needs to watch these videos and learn how a factory should be, and the quality controls are insane.
You mean Toyota? Mercedes is a joke when it comes to QA and reliability.

Manufacturing engineering at the next level, simple amazing !
Amazing that they still produce second-rate cars, maybe. Japanese cars tend to be much better quality. Look at the resale values of Mercedes. They are really cheap after a few years. There's a very good reason for that.
@@dandare1001 yeah but you have to wait years till it is reduced enough to buy it. Mercedes, Lexus are cars that are over rated. You pay for the letter L or the big star on the grill. You can keep em..
@@carlsmith5545 You don't have to wait long for their prices to drop. I find Lexus infinitely better the Mercedes. Mercedes use Lexus as their benchmark, but never get close. Just check out the reliability ratings of both.
The strange thing is that second-hand Lexus are also cheap despite their better quality. I've had a couple and they were brilliant. My friends have had expensive (new and nearly new Mercedes) S-class, and GL-class, and they have had plenty of problems, unlike the Lexus.

Engineers are somethin else
Just goes to show human beings have the intelligence to solve most of problems facing the world, including poverty and hunger (low hanging fruits). The only thing lacking is the WILL to do so
These are great brains and minds. They are looking to be ahead of technology. I am just very impressed with research centers and testing.
A single fly has more design and complexity than this whole factory, then an atheist comes and says everything happened by chance.

I am just in AWE of the brains that conceived, designed, manufactured, programmed, and deployed each tool in this monstrous factory. there must be hundreds of thousands of these tools... and then the factory itself... it truly is MIND BOGGLING!!! And, yes, the car is nice too... I'm sure :)
Might seem that way in documentarys but sadly not in reality.
Why would this surprise you/ anyone, Merc has been at the forefront of auto tech for, well, pretty much since the beginning of it all
It's Germany, they have always went all out when they do something.
Such videos should be shown at schools. Could not be much cooler than that. Next civilization.
Amazing technology, manufacturing and documentary.
Great documentary. Mercedes is realy a great company. German;s makes top quality cars.
WRONG
Unfortunately this isn't true Mercedes used to make amazing cars but that ended in the 1990s ! Mercedes bmws Audi all built to suite the western world and the western world love bling and gadgets and buy with there eyes so basically if it looks good then it must be great quality and all three of these makes use cheap inferior Chinese electronics .
Ask a person who fixes cars and ask them how many Toyotas they fix compared to the German cars !

All that technology into manufacturing cars and yet they won't make them more reliable or creek free after 3 years...
That’s the point. Everything is made to only last as long as warranty does.

@@ralphsmithison4098 So you're telling me that intake manifold, valve covers, oil pans made off plastic and other shits will be more reliable than rubber or silicone hose? are u serious? just check out those valve covers with a pcv valve that you need to change it every few years because the valve is not replaceable and instead of replacing the valve with a simple 2$ rubber valve you need to buy the whole valve cover wich is almost 200$ and you call that reliablilty? and yes, i used to work in auto industry...

I know this is random but seeing Germany go from Nazism to being coined as one of the nicest and most welcomed countries with the best engineering in under a century gives me hope for the world. I'd love to go to Germany and see if it's as beautiful as they say.
Southern Germany Clubs in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg and maybe Rhineland-Palatinate are definitely nice, but crime has really increased enormously. Above all, thanks to dear Angela Merkel with her great refugee crisis from 2015, we have taken in three million new refugees in this country. Although there are only 80 million inhabitants. That makes a big difference and you can see that now. Most of the big German cities in Germany, the Germans are in the minority or the people who are German or have German ancestors are in the minority and the people who are foreigners are refugees or have a migration background make up 60% or 70% of the population in some cities like e.g. Frankfurt.
Mercedes must be great, but the everyday business of groceries, supermarkets, internet connection or providers, i.e. all things of daily use, is absolutely catastrophic. Energy prices are catastrophically high, food prices, inflation. And since the EM also in the ever-increasing crime. And being a stranger in your own country actually describes it best. It was really nice in 1990 or maybe still in the 2000s, but Germany hasn't been the way it used to be for ten years at the latest, and will never really recover from the Merkel government.
@@Mister__Jey Mr.J., I suppose you are a neonazi!
And to all others: Not everybody of the refugees is a raper or murderer of German people! This is only in the heads of people like this Mr.
